I found Andrew by way of Google and left a brief voicemail explaining my circumstances. Andrew responded, and we set up a time to talk through my options. In that call, he was incredibly knowledgeable about the buyout process, what to expect, how to think through my options, how he would represent us, and was responsive to my questions. Ultimately, the entire buyout process consisted of just 2-3 phone calls and back-and-forth emails with Andrew over the course of a few weeks. Once we decided to move forward with Andrew representing us, he took over the communications with our landlord. All that was needed from my roommate and I were decisions around how to respond to our landlord's offers, which made the process much less stressful. In the end, we did not reach an agreement with our landlord, which was our ideal outcome given the offers we were getting. This also means that all of Andrew's time spent advising us was complimentary, and never at any point did I feel Andrew was pushing us to agree to anything, so I am writing this review with the hope that it serves at least some sort of return. That all said, this is a long way of saying thank you. Andrew was a rockstar and I hope my (and many others') reviews are a testament to his value. Appreciate it!

He did not charge a penny and although we did not end up requiring his services, are grateful for the straightforward and helpful guidance that he provided. He is clearly not only a successful and experienced attorney, but also an advocate in every sense for tenant rights. I wouldn't hesitate to engage him in the future and highly recommend anyone needing help with their tenancy matters to consider his services.

I couldn't understand and she kept deflecting . Anyway , for the vast majority of the day , we text back and forth , then she called saying she wanted to refer me to someone else because she hadn't filed this type of document before . I told her I wanted her to do it as I had already spent hours going back and forth about the logistics with her via phone and text. She called me back again around 8 pm last night , and we spoke for 1 hour and 8 min and we left off with her saying she'd do the forms and send me the ones I had to fill out . And she was supposed to connect with me today. All day I didn't hear from her. No explanation . No text . And when I called to inquire what was going on, she chose to not answer. She didn't even have the courtesy to let me know and now I have a deadline and I'm left in limbo. The unprofessional and unethical manner she handled this left me in a very bad position , with no way to get the documents I needed in time to be filed. Totally harmed me and didn't have the decency to call. I am very disappointed and can't believe someone in a professional position would do this and harm someone , especially knowing I was in a time crunch. She then sent me a text after my review, threatening me. I wrote back that I have the right to write a review of my experience. I would be very cautious in using this business for anything.

They are awesome! A panel of at least 3 trained volunteer mediators help you resolve conflict. They helped my co-worker and I. We are now good friends to this day. Thanks Community Boards! I wish I were more like them. They have helped me in so many ways I can't even begin to explain. Plus, I have to get back to work.

The idea is that once you can see things from each other's points of view and start to unobjectify each other, it becomes easier (less agitated) to talk about the problem and to figure out a mutually beneficial solution in a collaborative way. Simple concept, but like many things, harder to realize. After observing the conflict resolution techniques in action a few times, it seems more doable each time as I understand the process better. I learned a lot from CB about conflict resolution techniques. Also how to be a better listener. Very useful as conflicts are part of life and handling them well can build relationships. CB also provides training to schools, and to people interested in learning mediation. More information about this on CB's web site. Low-cost mediation by professionals is also available.
