This is the update with pics of his finished work. OMG! As I am known to do, I couldn't help but switch out the type of tile I wanted for our shower after I saw an amazingly stunning green crystal cavern large format tile on Pinterest made by the same Italian company that made our stunning ivory crystal cavern tile. Asked Damian if I could please swap out the hexagons and ivory inside the shower for the new one I found, and there are no words to describe the result. I am so excited I decided to write this before he comes back to grout it tomorrow because this is a work of art!!! WOW! There is NO WAY my husband and I could have ever installed this tile. It is spectacular. I had no idea how heavy and finicky large format tile was. It was even a huge effort for Damian, but the results are better than my wildest dreams could have predicted. It was 3x heavier and harder to cut the huge green cavern tiles than the smaller ivory tiles, but it was so worth it! Damian's meticulous planning and prep work made it possible. Every seam in the crystal was meticulously matched around so many corners and cuts required by our lighted glass block window, bench, and lighted cubbies. 44 pieces of individually shaped, matched, and cut tile in all! Damian became elevated in our minds to "tile artisan" as he worked with each tile piece to use the best part of each segment, while saving us thousands on extra tile. We are absolutely convinced there is no way our bathroom would have come close to looking this amazing without his eye for beauty, and his meticulous precision. The backsplash on the vanity still needs to be finished, and I promised Damian I wouldn't post pics of all 44 of the teeny tiny pieces of tile he had to cut to make the window and the cubbies come together matched in 3D space. I'm sorry Damian. I have to tell everyone how good you are. Every single time we walk into the bathroom in the future, we will be grateful for Damian's custom artistry. Damian is a one of a kind artisan and worth triple what he charges. If you want custom artwork meticulously crafted to last a lifetime, get on his waiting list. It is well worth the wait.
