I gave 48 hours notice for cancellation because I was sick with a stomach bug, fever and all. She did not refund my deposit. Which when she requested it did not mention it was non-refundable. I should've asked when she required it since there was no form, statement, etc. She just asked me to Venmo it. I was thinking about rescheduling with her bc she does have good reviews and I'm nervous about trying a new person (I moved from out of state), but the lack of communication and professionalism has me wanting to look elsewhere. I have been coming to Dala for a few years now for my lashes and i get many compliments. Dala is very damn good at what she does she takes her time and make you feel comfortable. Now when i found out that her daughter CiCi was offering body sculpting i had to give it a try! (My background i am one month postpartum with the mommy belly i felt sluggish and heavy.) I had a great first experience with Dala, she did a fantastic job on my hybrid lashes. To start, her system for scheduling an appointment is super easy to use, and allows for her to send her clients reminders of upcoming appointments. She provided very thorough directions to her location, as it is tucked away in a series of businesses. The studio itself is very clean and very well decorated, you can tell she puts a lot of attention to detail. The table you lay on while she applies your lashes is super comfortable, and she checks in with you through out the process to make sure you're doing ok. She did a great job explaining how to prolong the life of my lashes and what to expect as they grow out, and when to come back to get them filled in. She gives you a couple of print outs with instructions as well. Overall, I had a fun experience, as she is super easy to chat with and has a fun personality. Dala is the best! I'd been looking for a lash artist for awhile and stumbled upon Dala's Instagram and really liked her work. I contacted her for an appt and she was really responsive and so sweet. She was very flexible with her schedule to fit me in based on my work schedule. Her shop is really cute and welcoming. She listened to what I wanted and looked at some pics I had as examples, yet she offered suggestions based on her expertise and my eye shape. I had bad experience from getting my eyelash extensions done in the past by some one else and waited about a whole year or so to get them done again. I was always just hesitant from getting my lashes done again because of my first experience but I did my research and decided to book with Dala for my 2nd experience and what can I say?
