Our Madison Room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable with a four post bed. Dave and Karen are outstanding Innkeepers who make you feel like family, Dave's hearty homemade breakfasts with homemade French toast with orange cream butter, and hot bread pudding. East to check in as Karen just hands you the Key; no rules, no directives, no signs, just have a good time. Good Parking, and all the rooms had mini-splits air conditioning. Three fireplaces made of bright Italian tiles, with real hardwood floors throughout. Perfectly located for exploring Littleton, Bethlehem, and the Mount Washington area, this is a place we will be returning in January. Highly recommended!

The owners cook an amazing breakfast, that is quite a delight. Fresh baked cookies are available every afternoon and I ate my weight in them. The outdoor hot tub was a huge perk for us as was the billiards table and scrabble game. Every night they stoke a roaring fire in the wood stove. Perfect for when you come in from being outside. They offer free snow shoe gear to borrow, so naturally we took advantage and hiked outside on the trails. This place is 25 min from Muddy paws dog kennel to go sledding. Do it! It's amazing. While nearby restaurants are limited, what is around, is good. We loved this place. We will return.

From hot tea to wine with cheese and crackers or a bucket of ice--John asks what we'd like. In the morning we bring a carafe of Peet's coffee up to our sunrise room overlooking the presidential mountains before sitting down to a four course breakfast. Fresh fruit cup, a yogurt parfait with berries, a waffle ( a pitcher of warm maple syrup ), finishes with eggs Benedict. The veranda provides plenty of comfortable seating for reading and reflection--or enjoying a beverage. The Victorian is truly a restorative place that encourages relaxation and conversation--with little effort you can plan your day's activities of hiking, cycling, or site seeing.

Carol called us to make sure we were making it up ok. When we arrived at Carlson's Lodge Carol met us to check us in. We hadn't eaten yet and she called a nearby restaurant to see if they could still take us. She also helped us plan our entire day for the next day. She had really good suggestions of different hikes we could do in our time frame. She then took us to our room which had a door code instead of a key which I really liked. She also said that one bed was firm and one bed was plush. This place was perfect for our one night stay. The only thing I would note is there is not a fridge in the room. The lodge was so close to Mt. Willard, the Cog Railway, the Mt Washington Hotel and others. It was a very convenient location and Carol made our stay so much better, would definitely stay again!

Absolutely LOVED this place!!…read more i've never been to a b&b before, so this was our first time. We brought our puppy here, and they are SUPER dog friendly! The owners have a couple of dogs of their own, and another couple was here with their dog. This place is super cute and homey-there's paintings, stuffed animals (for humans and dogs), inviting couches, decorative rooms, a big backyard for our dogs to do their business (we didn't even have to pick up after them, since someone else does that for us)-great since it snowed several inches the night before!! We came in at night, and just sat back with some drinks and hung out with everyone as our dogs socialized, too. Our puppy loved this place, as he was free to wander around and have some fun! That made us super happy, too :). This place also includes a home cooked breakfast, and free wifi. Sweeeet!

I'm glad I booked it blindly, otherwise the distance would have discouraged me from coming here. The owners love dogs and make you feel at home. They have a couple of their own dogs too. There's a backyard where you can open the door and let your dog pee and poop. For my first experience at a B&B, I loved it.

Although there are a few things that could use some TLC, overall the cottage was great. Comfortable bed, great jacuzzi tub, sauna, and fire box. The restaurant at the inn is exceptional. Unique menu items and everything cooked to perfection. We loved it so much we ate there all 3 nights of our stay. The inn has a library and enjoyed playing chess there by the fireplace one evening. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend staying here.

The main part of the house is very small but nice with little stocking of the beverage "amenities". First impression of the room was disappointing for several reasons but the main first impression was that it was not cleaned well nor do the owners care if it's cleaned well. The bathroom was the first real impression where a filthy shower mat hung on the towel rack, the hand towel had crust on it and a dried, unwashed blood stain on the comforter. iTrip, who is "managing" this place was very prompt about returning my emails UNTIL I responded to THEIR email asking about my stay. Crickets. I'll include photos. There are plenty of other gorgeous places to stay in Lincoln....don't give your money to Red Sleigh Inn.

Please read about the changes…read more We booked the Red Sleigh Inn seven months ago because we were planning a trip to the area and we love B&Bs and have stayed at many. What attracted us to this facility was its outstanding reputation. However, exactly one week (7/11/22) before we were supposed to arrive, we received an email that Red Sleigh was under new ownership and there were going to be changes. We could not cancel because it was less than 30 days. Here are the changes: 1. Nobody would be at the facility to greet you. Nope, no personal friendly greeting to welcome you like we were used to in the past. They sent you a passcode for the front door and your room. You have to call a property managing company if there is an issue. 2. You receive ONE set of towels per person for stay. We stayed three days and originally only got one washcloth, one hand towel, and one bath towel per person, until we complained and we each got a second set. 3. NO BREAKFAST ANYMORE!!! I guess they left off one B in B&B. They did give us a voucher of $20 a day for the Moon Cafe to get a small breakfast. I do not know if this service is going to continue. We got it because we booked before the change. The room was clean. There was a coffee station and candy station which were kept full by attendants who showed up daily to clean vacated rooms. If you like the AirBnB experience while sharing the facility with other couples, then by all means enjoy. We prefer the true B&B experience with the home cooked breakfast and somebody there to greet you.
