We had a fantastic long weekend went to several different places did some good bike runs around the area checked out Polly's pancake parlor one morning. We went over to a brewery over in Vermont. Some of us went to Ben & Jerry's. We all went to Cabot creamery it was just cool. One of our members Curtis always finds cool things to do. They always manage to get just the right amount of fun stuff packed since the weekend we could hit one day where it was raining on Saturday, but a bunch of of us got together and had card games in the pool, pool house and had snacks and everything. We had a good time went by vast sometimes I wish it was longer, but sometimes it's just the right amount of time, but this lodge is just amazing. They're right on top of everything. There's nothing you want. They're always able to give you whatever you need. It is close to a Walmart which unfortunately they're not as nice as the people at the lodge. I had also left something there. Call back a couple of days later if they had found it and they even held onto it so I got some friends to go pick it up for me and like how many people do that they don't even find what you're looking for. But really good people great service enjoy going there every year I mean, even if we don't go there again I'll still take it as a long weekend with my honey and some family members and go ourselves cause it really is a good time.

When we got in our room, I was disappointed that I did not see the jacuzzi that was on my confirmation. I went to the office (where they have freebie samples and coupons) to let them know there was no jacuzzi in the room they gave us. They said because we booked through a 3rd party, sometimes it will mention amenities that aren't really included. So, I'm thinking to myself great, probably a bust. I didn't show any frustration, I was just disappointed. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine for the inconvenience. Not only that, but there was an available room with a jacuzzi the next morning and they gave it to us at no additional cost. The room was massive and also included a nice fireplace, oh and the jacuzzi. Customer service goes a long way and for that reason, we will return to this motel in the future. Some of the rooms are also dog friendly.

The river was beautiful and listening to it at night had my entire family sleeping great. You are right down the road from Clark's bears and there is a water park right across the street. It's minuets away from a great mini golf place and lots of great food options. The cabin had a roku tv so we could throw on a cartoon for a cranky toddler midday. Overall wonderful location, super cute place and great owners. We will be back!

The cross country skiing trails were so fun! Trail 19 had amazing views, 30 went right along the…read moreriver, and a bunch of them passed by/over the creek in the woods. It felt like an authentic XC ski experience and like we had the place all to ourselves. They definitely worked hard to get trails groomed again after some unfavorable conditions. The trail map and markers are a bit confusing though. Reasonable prices. Staff was attentive and helpful. We liked it so much we went back the next day!

Apparently a lot of the other trail systems weren't open due to the lack of snow, but Bear Notch had plenty of beautiful, well-groomed trails to play on. The best part: COMPLETELY dog friendly! We could have taken our dog out on any of their 65km plus trails, not just a mile or two like other sites. We loved the cross country skiing, so we went back to Bear Notch to rent snowshoes today for a hike up Mt Crawford. Again, super friendly staff and really affordable prices. This is the only place we'll bring our business to the next time we're in the area.

She even knew exactly who we were because we had made a reservation. The cabin was SO cute. It was well-decorated, clean, and super cozy. We ended up booking a second night because it was such a great stay. The mattress is very, VERY firm. My partner slept great but me, not so much. Still, overall totally worth the stay. The location was fantastic for heading into Franconia Notch and hitting the Kancamangus Highway. Would definitely stay again and would recommend this place.
