On one of our drive around trips while in Spanish Fort we ran across this spot and decided to give it a look. What a nice market ! It is run by a family who adds daily to the veg options from their own farm - love it. All the offerings we saw (fruit & veg) were all top quality and ready to be picked up .. no weepy and dated stock which we loved. They also have great jarred options, dairy, frozen and much more. We ended up snatching up some cucumbers, watermellon and oranges - all VERY tasty. This is one of those spots that will be a regular for us going forward !! read more

Beautiful local produce, eggs, Amish butter, yummy frozen tomato gravy and delicious pies, my favorite is Key Lime. It's a small store that holds a lot of beautiful products and the canned vanilla peaches are phenomenal. A locals paradise for freshness, quality. IF they don't carry it then chances are you don't need it. Wonderful staples without preservatives and always the smiling faces of the staff. The bags are your typical thin bags so I would suggest you take your own bags to carry out. Enjoy. read more

Wow! This place is loaded with fresh farm foods including homemade products like preserves, herbal soap, cider, cheeses and spices. I love the variety of items here and at a very low cost. Having been displaced from home due to hurricane Ida, I'm still desirous of healthy eating and they have what you need here. Here, you'll find your usual veggies, corn, tomatoes, okra, green beans, peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon and all but I've captured photos of unusual stuff like, "cry baby" sauce lol. Apparently it's soooo hot it'll make you cry. Needless to say, I stayed away from that and got some good ole Cajun boiled peanuts. We'll be back once our fruit and veggie stash runs out at the hotel. Giving a 4 star today. Basically it's an egg issue. I have always (since we moved here in 2016) purchased our eggs here. They are jumbo and honestly we like jumbo eggs and Allegra's is close to our house. See the sign in the photo. It says jumbo eggs $1.49 per dozen. What it doesn't advise either on the board or in the store is this. IF you purchase more than 2 dozen of jumbo eggs in one shopping trip the rest of the eggs will cost you $1.99 per dozen. You find out at checkout. Really? Why? Who does this??? What difference does it make? Should I make 3 trips inside? Bring my husband and daughter and let each of us purchase 2 dozen each I just don't get it. read more

Fresh produce and then some! Clean store with local produce. Jars of pickled produce, relishes and bags of shelled beans and pecans. There is so much here for southern home cooking just like grandma used to make. There are refrigerated coolers and freezers with frozen foods: premade casseroles, gumbo, seafood, cakes and pies. Worth a visit for shopping local produce at fair prices. read more

i purchased a box of peaches Monday afternoon. that night i set them out on the counter- they were rock hard! I didn't think they were open on the 4th, so on Wednesday I call and said they were not the same peaches as in the baskets and were not clingfree. the owner refused to accept them for replacement- just said she wouldn't do any to make it right. never again at $55 for a box! read more

I went to purchase 2 large baskets of peaches for 14.99 each, the posted price per basket. When I checked out, she weighed them and then the total was 21.99 each. I inquired and was told that people move the peaches around and there may be more than intended in the baskets. Strange that both baskets were the same price after she weighed them. Now it looks like they have false advertising on their posted sign. I will not shop there again and will only shop at Hazels in Daphne on 98. They are a family run business and are always honest. read more

I love this place and hate it when I don't have time to pull in and look things over. You will have the usual variety of super-fresh veggies and fruits. Their relishes jams and unique items fir the area is my fave section. My overnight guests often are sent home with a few goodies from Allegri. My house is the one "with the big green ferns". Here is another farmers market in Daphne we like going to.. I like their jumbo eggs for 99 cents per dozen.. They are so big they barely fit the carton.. We had a Sprouts in Arizona which i really miss and this is a small scale version of that.. I like finding amish cheeses and meats from Troyers in ohio , there.. As a kid we would go to the amish country a lot and moving to Az I never found a market that sold any of their products so i had to order online.. I was so happy to find this market.. They also have Alabama raw wildflower honey which i use everyday... They sell homemade soaps, a line of syrups, salsas a little bit of this and that, and of course veggies , a lot of them from local farms..They also have a couple of frozen food cases with some gumbo , frozen seafood pies, pink shrimp from Louisiana which is delicious.. They also have beautiful hanging plants outside.. and you should see this place on Halloween, I have never ever seen so many different colors and types of pumpkins.. I love going there then and grabbing a few ..The sales people are wonderful and very helpful.. Oh and they also sell silverhill corn which is the best we have ever had, so much flavor and big fat corn.. Check this place out you will not be sorry.. it is not a huge store but has a big selection to choose from.. and everything has always been really fresh.. read more

Pecans Gone Bad We recently bought 3 bags of Cracked Pecans at $18.00 / bag on the advice of a local distributer south of them on Hwy 181 as an alternate source for pecans. That was back on Jan 3, 2019 and today is Jan 12, 2019. After purchasing the last two bags we noticed that a few were molded on the bottom of the bag, but didn't give it much thought since another pecan distributer always told us to put them in the refrigerator for freshness and to freeze them if we were not going to use them right away. We pulled them out of the refrigerator yesterday to start processing them and found out all of them were molded to some extent. We then contacted the manager on the 12th and she told us pecans cannot be put in the refrigerator as they are moist and that will cause them to mold, which they did in this case. She was correct in what had happened to these particular bags of pecans. Note: The difference I think is that the distributors pecans are in paper bags for air to circulate and the farm markets in this case are in plastic with no air circulation. Just a guess in my part. The bottom line is, the manager said sorry, we apologize for the pecans molding, but there is nothing we can do! There is no warning on these plastic bags that these are not to be refrigerated. The manger left us hanging with almost $60.00 worth of worthless pecans we are now going to throw away. I see there is usually good reports for this market on the reviews, but buyer beware, they do not stand behind something if it goes bad for some reason! P.S. we have been refrigerating bags of pecans with no problems since 2015 until we purchased pecans this year from Allegri Farm Market. read more

Visited this farm stand for 2nd time today. Owner approached me to ask if she could help me find something. She was very friendly and introduced me to her cashiers. Explained what items were grown locally and when to expect fall produce to start rolling in. Prices are competitive and store is well stocked. I will be Back! read more

Allegri's is a regular stop for my partner and I when we are grocery shopping. I like how they carry local food products, including meats, cheeses, and assorted items like jams, etc. I think they are a little limited in their offerings due to the size of their space, so you may not find items that are considered uncommon or high-end. If you're looking for a different alternative to the fruit and vegetable section at the grocery store, give them a try. read more

Stumbled on this place while on the road. They have an amazing assortment of fresh fruit & veggies. Their freezers are stuffed with local gumbos, sausage, and other favorites, as well as pre- cut frozen veggies. Lots of helpful staff on the Saturday we visited. Oodles of jams, preserves, and pickled vegetables. Wish we had more room in the car to buy!! Definitely coming back here next time we're in the area!! read more

I went to their market on Fri. to get some veggies and had picked out some sweet potatoes and turnip roots all by MYSELF but when I went to get the turnips I ask for a paper bag to put them in the owner " Patty " came speed walking from around the counter to the tub of greens and picked up a bunch and headed back it was at that time that I said " wait I want to pick out my greens "and I was told by Patty that I could not ! So I ask why and was told by her that NO she was not going to lose money by me tearing through her greens ! PLEASE I am a 73 year old woman and would NEVER do that ! I said if I could NOT pick out my own greens then I did not want them and she said fine then leave. I have shopped at their market for YEARS.....but NEVER again ! I will not be treated like that for NO reason so I went to Burris Farm Market where they treat you like a person and let you PICK OUT your own greens ! read more

So fresh and the workers are extremely helpful and nice. Freshest tomatoes, eggplant, cabbage, corn, green beans I've ever found. For its smaller store size, there is SUCH a wide selection. Reminds me of Amish markets in Florida. Fruit is fresh and they have a bunch of snacks, as well! I've been to this market many times because my family lives in Fairhope . Went today to get some peaches, asked if I could mix the basket so I could get some that were ripe and then would ripen in a few days. Was told they can't do that because they're weighed in the morning. Ok fine, understandable. I picked my basket but laid the peaches out so I could see how many were ripe and would ripen in a few days since it was a 10 pound basket. When I asked if I could switch two peaches out because they were overly ripe , badly bruised, on the verge of being rotten, and ready to split the owner grabbed them from my hands and said she wasn't going to do that and I had touched all of them. I explained it didn't matter that I touched all of them because I was buying them and she said no I wasn't , it wasn't going to work for me to shop there. With that she took the basket of peaches out of my hands and walked in the back of the store. What??? I have never been treated so rudely in a store , by the owner no less! Don't worry, I'll never shop there again. I can spend my money where people are nice, treat customers with respect, and don't discriminate against someone who's not from the area. Southern hospitality isn't found at this market! The worst! read more
