Hi Allen Edmonds, I have a big problem that I'm as saddened as upset I have to have to share. You see, I ordered a pair of Higgins mill, shell cordovan, dark welt on 12/23/19 and was told it would take 2 weeks, and that the dark welt might constitute a custom order, a $40 price that I would approve upon their call. Then, they would receive the boots, perform a quality check and ship them to me. A month passed and I didn't get either a call, email, voicemail, text, Nothing! I emailed the store and never got a reply, then, I called them and made them aware of my problem. Quickly, the store scattered and i got a box today. Directly from the factory. I was heartbroken when I saw the boots.It is not at all what I ordered and was told I would get. A $700+ pair of boots, a month long wait, knocking on different doors and channels to lose more time having now to return them and wait the 2 to 3 weeks for my refund? I'm deeply disappointed, tired, hurt and ultimately heartbroken that my time was so stupidly wasted by so many people who had the delivery of a product and customer service as their obligation and responsibility. I was thrilled to see that Allen Edmonds had store locations after I used their website to place an order. The people here have been extremely helpful when I've had questions regarding care of my shoes. Today, I came in concerned because I had just received an order and in wearing the shoes had a pretty severe scuff mark on them. I was nervous that nothing could be done. I was wrong as they knew exactly what needed to be done and were able to send me to Shoe Lab, by the Coffee Bean, which was in the same mall. I also had questions about polish and care of shoes and the staff was very helpful. One pair of shoes had a raised mark on it, unable to be removed with polish. The staff at Allen Edmonds removed it with special cleaner and polished the spot. I recommend everyone visit this store as they do have quite a few products on display. I learned that each pair of shoes will have a unique blend of color due to AE's individualized process with their shoes. So even if you order products online, there's a lot to be gained by visiting a location. In addition to shoes, I noticed they sell shoelaces (much needed as many times stores aren't able to provide replacement shoe laces). The store also sells belts, socks, and other accessories in addition to the shoes. I think it would also be helpful to have your feet measured here even if you order online if you're not aware of your shoe size. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I didn't feel like I was being an inconvenience. Thank you Allen Edmonds for really thinking through what you offer. One suggestion might be to have a line of orthotics you recommend for people who use them. Perhaps being able to try them out in store would be useful too. read more

Unfortunately, customer service here has been consistently poor on the few occasions I came in. Shoe sales staff seem disinterested, cold, curt, and aloof. This is a problem, as customers generally expect above average customer service for $400 shoes. I own a couple pairs of Allen Edmonds, and online/telephone customer service is a different story. AE makes well-crafted shoes, from quality leather, with a good year welt that makes for a recraftable shoe. Having to deal with the people who work at this location has, regretfully, turned me off from buying my next pair here. read more

I have flat wide feet. Because of this I like to do my homework about a store before I make plans to visit the store. When I arrived at the store, the gentleman was rather dismissive of me. I come into a store ready to make something happen and left feeling that I wasted my time. I have size 16 9E feet. I know I won't get shoes at Ross or even most Nikes. The shoes and service are good when its not too busy. When it's busy there is just one guy on register and shoe fitting so it takes forever. Beware of buying stuff online using PayPal. If you end up returning the item it takes 30 days...in my case I didn't get the refund after 30 days, which was horrible, but after I called customer service they gave me the refund immediately, which was really really nice. read more

my husband has purchased several shoes from this location, cuff links, and a belt. We also went together and purchased a large leather duffle bag. It's beautiful. But after taking it on a second trip, the double zipper broke. Only one side will zip. We went back to this location. They said there was nothing they can do. They suggested us trying to bend the zipper, which i'm nervous to do. After emailing the company they told us to mail it back so they could inquire about it. They said to give them a 3-5 week lead time... Well fast forward 8-9 weeks and they just now got back to us to say there is nothing they can do, except recommend a repair facility. Seriously, they have had our bag for 2 months to just tell us to repair it ourselves. One part of the zipper is off the track...., i don't understand why they won't just fix it, i don't think i'm asking a lot(?) just a simple hardware repair... its enough for it to be our last purchase from this company. sadly disappointed. read more

I wanted to exchange a pair of shoes I received as a gift and they make it impossible to return/exchange any product unless you have the original credit card it was purchased with. I just wanted to exchange my pair for a narrow size and they were extremely rude and useless with a solution. I probably would have paid an extra $200 for another style shoe if that was even an option. I will not be supporting this location anymore. Owned my Park Ave's for six hours and already detect a problem. Seems that the left shoe has a lump in the sole unlike the right one. Wore the shoes for 5 hours but just can't comprehend how a lump so large will eventually confirm to my foot. Why doesn't the right one have one then? Salesman told me that this is normal due to the cork inside the sole. I think once I get home, Customer Service will be hearing from me. The staff immediately greeted me, used a Brannock device to measure my feet's length, width, and arch, found 7D Park Avenue Oxfords to fit me, used a shoe horn and helped with clients to put on shoes carefully, checked the stock room for products very efficiently, and answered questions patiently and informatively about the different AE lasts, leather hides, shoe care, AE shoe names and the price. He gifted me the shoe horn. The shoe trees cost $26. If your feet are small, call prior to ask if something's available in store. There were only 4 pairs of shoes in 7D size that were available in store today, so I didn't get to try a lot of different AE lasts. But I absolutely love the Park Avenues Oxfords and they are the most fitted and comfortable dress shoes I've ever worn. It feels like second-skin. So I got them back but unfortunately found a defect in the left heel. I called to request a pair of 7D Park Avenue Oxfords for exchange & leather sneakers that I may be interested in to be shipped to the store. I'll check these out next Friday and update the review. read more

When I finally did wear through a pair of my Allen Edmonds, the staff at this location made utilizing the re-crafting service fast and painless. Alex, the manager, has been a pleasure to know over the last few years. He was previously at the Costa Mesa store, and he's been my go-to guy for most of my Allen Edmonds shoes. I recently purchased the Bartlett shoes during one of sales, and I asked to exchange it for another pair, due to some QC problem. Alex understood and immediately brought in a replacement pair. The quality control at AE has slipped a bit in recent years, probably due to their emerging success and the struggle of trying to keep up with the demand. But if you're willing to tolerate returning some shoes because of these issues, I find there's no better value in American-made leather shoes. Sure, there are better shoes out there, but at this price point, there's nothing better or more comfortable. The main other problem with AE shoes is that they tend to generally run on the more narrow side. A lot of men with wider feet cannot wear AE shoes because this, and will need to look to Alden, C&J or similar brands. Anyway, this store is small, but I've found all the employees friendly and helpful. Why the 4 stars instead of 5? Well, I'm not the hugest fan of this location. It's in a very busy part of town, and parking is not free. I wish they had opened this new store somewhere else in the area, but at the same time, Century City is full of wealthy people, so it makes sense. Bottom line: AE's are an unbeatable value when they are on sale. I highly recommend contacting the store manager Alex if you need help. read more

Utterly ridiculous. I have upwards of 15 pairs of Allen Edmonds. I brought one all the way to the stupid mall today to see if Allen Edmonds could refurbish them. NO PARKING. No parking anywhere. I drove around for 20 minutes through the idiotic multi-level parking structure (something I find aesthetically deeply offensive to begin with). NO PARKING. Finally I left, Allen Edmonds in hand. Nothing is worth such nonsense. Allen Edmonds needs to step up its parking game. Presumably people with aesthetics buy Allen Edmonds shoes; yet people with aesthetics will NOT tolerate non-existent parking. Ridiculous. Absolutely intolerable nonsense. Do not go here. You won't find parking. Worse, I imagine that even if you DO find parking, it will take half an hour to get to the store itself, after a maze-like parking structure and countless elevators and turns. Drove 2 hours after talking with Roxana Rios on the phone. Had size 16 come in through the online store. Arrived and tried on the size 15. Took them home and ended up calling Roxana as they seemed to not fit my odd shaped feet. Ended up Roxana send a return label to me and I sent them back on their cost. Really good experience even without finding a good fit for me. Roxana made some comments on my feet that made the trip worth it.
