I signed up for the Wine and Investing 101. The classes are free. Dan presented on the wine, Tim presented on investment, and they were both great. They worked with a Zoom meeting and made it interesting and engaging. I wrote down many notes during class on both topics. The class got me excited for wanting to take a more active role in my investing and future, as everyone should. I will definitely be taking more classes in the future. I took off a star because they kept emailing and texting me before the class incessantly, reminding me that I had signed up. When I sign up for something, I don't need 20 different reminders in various forms. One reminder the day of would have been sufficient. The weeks leading up to the event reminders were not needed, or appreciated.

Long enough that years ago she came home and announced, with complete confidence, "There's a girl at my bank who looks JUST LIKE YOU." Now, if you knew my mom, you'd know her powers of observation are... aspirational at best. She could see a barber pole and tell you it looks like someone she knows. So I filed this information away with a healthy dose of skepticism. Fast forward to modern times, where I now help manage a lot of her banking and have been coming into Summit regularly for about five years. I've met the supposed "look-alike" several times. Spoiler alert: she does not look like me. She's younger, taller, brunette, and shares exactly zero identifiable features with me. (My mom still insists. Recently she even tried to justify it by saying, "Well, she's lost some weight." I stared at her in silence until she realized what she'd just said and started laughing. So... there's that.) All that aside--this place is exceptional. Because of how warm, friendly, and genuinely "down-home" Summit feels, I eventually opened my own account here too, even though it's no longer convenient to our current location. And I will never close it. They know my mom the moment she walks in. When she fumbles for her ID, they let it slide because they truly know her. They ask how she's doing, remember details about her life, and treat her with patience, kindness, and respect. When I was buying a house, they gathered around to look at pictures, oohing and aahhhing in all the right places like proud friends--not just tellers behind a counter. This is one of those rare places where you feel seen and remembered. You matter here. And as a bonus?
