I had a bridal party, and we ordered our dresses from Mona Lisa, but we were told to pick them up at Allen Tailor (no idea why). Normally, I'm not picky about where I take my alterations, but this place was a total nightmare. I went in for my fitting on October 28 and was told to pick up my dress on November 5. My sister went in for her fitting on November 4 and saw my dress still sitting there with the bottom unfinished and pins still in it. I called the tailor and asked if I could just pick up my dress since it didn't look like anything had been done. He told me, "How do you know? It's already done! Come tomorrow." So, I said I'd be there at 10 AM (since that's what the website said), and he responded, "No, come at 11." I said, "Okay," and then he changed it again to 12. I wasn't able to make it the next day because of an emergency, but I went on November 6 at 11:30 AM, and the tailor wouldn't even answer the door! I called, and he said he was a mile away, so I waited. Then he told me to come back after 3 PM, which was super frustrating since I have kids and work, and the shop is out of my way. I called again around 4 PM to say I was on my way, and he told me to come after 6. At that point, I completely lost it--this was beyond unprofessional. To make matters worse, my cousin was there getting her dress altered, and he made her wait while he worked on it in front of her, and the result was terrible. He charged her $100, and it looked awful. On top of that, he just pulled the pins out of my untouched dress and tried to charge my cousin for that too. It felt like a total scam. I had to fight him on giving my cousin my dress also, I didn't have time to keep waiting for someone who couldn't stick to their word or handle basic customer service. I dont make posts like this, I DON'T like bashing local businesses,BUT... Allen Tailoring الن الخياط DID ME SOOO WRONG!! 20 days before my wedding they handed me a dress that no longer fits me and told my mother in law that I must have gained weight in the 3 weeks that they had my dress. Let me give you a back story.. I reached out to them after searching their reviews that were all wonderful! I sent them pictures we talked I was quoted $200 and weeks. I get there i was told $350 and give them a date i want to pick it up. I said 2 weeks they asked for 3. I said fine but refused to pay the $350 they asked and we settled for $250. They call me on the day I'm supposed to pick it up and ask me to wait till the 1st week of September. I said no! I get married September 13th and I still need to get it steamed and stuff. So we settled for this Saturday. I get there and he gives me a very confused face and says you're not picking up today right? I said yes we talked and said Saturday. He did not touch my dress the whole time he had it. I went to grab my dress and walk out and he stopped me begging me to give him another chance and drops the price again saying it will be ready today at 6 he promises. So I give him yet another chance. He called me not even 2 hours later, and says your dress is ready come try it and if its not what you want then you go! I look at my mother in law like confused ooookkkkk!! We drive back over there and he ignores us and says from the back just try it on. So I go to try it on and I ask my mother in law to zip me up. She states we can't zip this up. It was about 7 inches from zipping matching to zip up, my straps weren't touched, he took length of off my inner layer of fabric but didn't touch the outer layer. My breast part is all material is loose and odd looking. As I'm taking it back off after showing him it didn't fit anymore, he tells Vicki that I gained weight. Look, even if I did gain weight I ain't gaining that much weight in 3 weeks. He COMPLETELY changed the shape of my dress. I have a beaded dress and he used a sewing machine on that material which your not supposed to do. That was his reasoning for charging me more money was because its beaded and it takes more work. Now I need to get my dress fixed and all undone before 2 weeks. I am so upset about this like I dont have enough going on in my head with school, work, life and a wedding. My head has literally been spinning and this just hit me hard. I spent alot of money on my dress. I can't believe someone would be so careless and rude! Instead of owning your mistake, you say I gained weight. WOW! JUST WOW! and for those wondering, I have not gained any weight in the past 3 weeks. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO DO ANY SERVICE FOR ANYONE. IF I CANT GET THIS FIXED THEY WILL BE HEARING FROM ME AGAIN!!! read more

Asked for a pair of suit pants to be opened up on the inside hems. Asked for it in a week and they agreed. Came in on the agreed upon completion date and they could not find them. I found them, MYSELF, in a hamper behind the counter. The work was done in 5 minutes and they charged me $30. I was very unimpressed by the unprofessional behavior and lack of care that went into my clothes. The work was done correctly so I will leave it at 2. read more
