3.5 stars Came here about a week and a half ago on a weekday. They don't have many discount options on the kiosk, so we went and stood in line. It was a little slow and they still only had one price fits all (no senior, military, etc.). From the looks of it, they had different food options like sopapillas and fry bread. I was very engaged into a thrilling movie.. then boom! Handful of popcorn had afew long strands of hair. Seriously! The F! I waited til after the show then I voiced my concerns to Allen 8 mgr on duty. You all need to enforce hair nets. Serving food needs a Regulated Food Handlers Certification. Pro: the POPCORN!!!! the best popcorn at any theater location (in my opinion) Reclining seats and tables for the snacks. Con: they don't have trays to help carry snacks to theater anymore. Beware of Theater 2 at Allen 8 in Farmington. The top two rows (E & F) are mislabeled. If you buy tickets for the top row (F), expect to argue with someone who bought (E) who will now be sitting in your seats. Obviously, these people think the letter (F) comes before (E) because it's labeled this way!!!This has been an issue for over a year with bad management who have not corrected this or they must enjoy this joke at our expense. If I knew what theater my movie would be playing in prior to arriving at the theater, I definitely would not purchase anything in Theater 2. read more

This movie theater offers reclining seats, spacious aisles and tables to enjoy your concessions if you choose. Tickets are $9 for matinee but I am not sure as I was visiting from Phoenix but for the aforementioned above $9 was a good price to watch a movie. However, beware, the popcorn here is nasty I am not even sure if they pop the popcorn on-site or if they buy it from a third party but in either case the mediocre popcorn definitely kills the vibe. Concession prices are reasonable and cheaper compared to Phoenix theater pricing and they offer $1 large popcorn refills but no refills on sodas. You have to pay full cost each time which was like $5.75 for a large soda but that's okay because the next time I am out in Farmington visiting family and we want to catch a movie we will smuggle in can soda from the Dollar Tree LOL and skip the popcorn. read more

I went to Aqua Man with my wife and In-laws while visiting Farmington over the winter holidays. The stadium and movie were excellent. We watched in RealD 3D with Dolby surround sound, and the theatre is outfitted with nice big mechanical reclining chairs. Additionally, each chair has a swinging tabletop for drinks and concessions. I haven't seen that feature elsewhere. Unfortunately, the pre-movie experience at the Allen left features to be desired. Tickets are not available on Fandango and the theater's online interface is dated. The theatre lobby is quite spartan and there isn't much to do if you show up a few minutes early to your showing. Finally, Icees only come in a small size. As someone who loves going to the movies so I can enjoy a large Icee during the screening, this was the most disappointing aspect of the experience. I would go back to the Allen to watch another movie, but the "experience" could be improved upon. read more

Allen 8 just finished renovating and now had those spiffy reclining chairs that move alllll smooth! This definitely makes it superior to the Allen 10 now! Ticket prices are a bit high! But that for the fancy seats which you have to reserve! So be sure to get there early ok? Ok. Other than that, this theater is clean and the workers are perfectly fine high school students. I will def be back her to do all my reclined film screenings from now on read more

Allen theaters this is the one on 20th and it's pretty nice the remodel in the theater so now they have reclining seats and they have a little table that swivels out and you can order your tickets online through the Allen Theatres app and you can choose your own seats to reserve and very clean and more room more space and and we like the 20th Allen theater read more

Very clean theatres. I liked the seats and sound system. The biggest problem was with their screen. Their previews screen was tilted weird so the projector needed to be adjusted. Once to movie started it was ok though. The big problem was the 6 large marks they had on the top center of the screen that was perfect face height. It was really distracting. read more

Newly Renovated!!!!!! They renovated the halls of the theater, looks modern. They just need to work on keeping their bathrooms clean. Now they have large reclining seats! Push a button and you can sit back and relax with your feet up. Also have a convenient swivel tables. But what I dislike is when you're able to order tickets online but you still have to wait in long lines with others to print your tickets. Annoying. Plus side you can reserve your seats so don't have to worry about being late and not finding a seat. read more

good call tres b! for a small town i would say they are pretty good theaters. i guess i am spoiled by the movie theaters in phoenix with reclining stadium seating, arm rests that adjust. wider seating for us fat people. bigger & better technology, i guess one would say. but in the end going to allen theaters is still a good experience. and i can live with that. my ONLY gripe is admissions starts charging children at age 1 year old. so kids are $6. i guess i'm use to phoenix not charging children until 3 years old for $5.50. read more

I'm giving them 1 star because I came back from Phoenix to watch a movie with some friends hoping that straight out of Compton was showing and they only had 4 show times and it was sold out all day. AND it wasn't even showing at the other theater. Really? A movie that makes 5 million just off the midnight premier is only showing in one theater? The Pop Corn was stale, and taste like it burnt. The Soda was way overpriced no $1.50 refills, but I was glad they had Coke products. Not much of a selection on both the movies being showed, and the candy selection. The Screens were small, the seats were stiff, and uncomfortable. Both theaters in Farmington were lame, I thought the theaters in the mall was somewhat better, but not by much. I wish they had a Harkens Theater here in this town. read more
