If you're looking for a place that delivers seriously great drinks, unbeatable happy hour deals,…read moreand a vibe that is peppy but not overtly loud, look no further than Derailed Pour House on Main Avenue. From the moment you walk in, you're surrounded by an atmosphere that's cozy, eclectic, and downright fun, twinkle lights, creative décor, and a laid-back yet lively energy that makes every visit feel special. Their happy hour from 4-6 PM every day is hard to beat with all the classics like wines, mules, Cosmopolitans, margaritas, mojitos, and Manhattans for just $6, plus tasty appetizers for 6& and even quesadillas for a $10. It's one of those deals that's perfect for catching up with friends after a ski day or just kicking back with a well-made cocktail without breaking the bank. Speaking of food, their carne asada quesadilla is amazing, rich, flavorful, and the perfect pairing for any of their drinks. And if you're lucky enough to have Tonny as your server, count yourself fortunate: attentive, personable, and genuinely one of the best in the business, the kind of hospitality that turns a great meal into a memorable night out. Between the delicious drinks, great value, funky ambience, and standout service, Derailed is a must-visit spot in downtown Durango. Whether you're here for happy hour, dinner, or just a cocktail, it's easy to see why locals and visitors alike sing its praises.

Quality food. Nice atmosphere…read more Horrible service. Having frequented this place many times, I'm always amazed at the painstaking lengths that the owner went to provide a pleasant dining experience, good food, high quality ingredients, and a pretty excellent value relationship-- Only to hire incompetent servers. Tonight I was placed alone next to a window, with the server barely spending more than 10 seconds waiting on me--in 50 minutes. Instead, he doted over all of the large groups in my vicinity, promised me a refill on the iced tea, watched me sit there waiting for 30 minutes for a refill, and never provided such. You got it. When I was handed the electronic payment machine...Yupp... he literally stares me down like a back alley shakedown artist. In addition to wearing a scuzzy unkept beard, not advisable for food servers, right?, he actually seems visibly upset when I gave him 16% tip, even asking me "was something wrong?" I know that we are in a small town, and Durango is feeling its growing pains, transitioning from a mountain/railroad rural tourist haven to a high profile mountain resort. But this was so obvious, that it ruined the experience. The burger was well executed and had a nice patina, offering a rewarding crunchy patty exterior. The marinade the patty was placed in was great as well. The bun was high quality and so too was the blue cheese and fried onion strings.

We started with the salads, which were phenomenal- absolutely huge portions and incredibly fresh. The pizza itself was spectacular. Even though the restaurant was pretty busy, the service was impressively quick and attentive, and the environment was great to hang out in. Before we left, we got some of their dessert dough balls to go--both the apple pie and the cinnamon flavors. They were absolutely delicious and the perfect sweet finish. Overall, just a wonderful meal and a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Our server was great in taking our orders and checking on us, but to get the check on the other hand, that took a while. Onto the food. Our order got mixed up a bit. We got one pizza placed in front of us that wasn't ours, the other that got dropped off someone at my table didn't notice and started eating it. Then our original order was brought. Long story short we had a bunch of left overs. I personally got a calzone that was amazing and the size portion was huge. This is a pet friendly location so they have outdoor seating and sliding garage doors that can be closed. Overall it was a great feel to it. And we would def come back for more.

We walked in and were immediately greeted by one of the bartenders and told to sit wherever we liked. We found a nice booth off to the side of the bar area. Our server Patrick stopped by the booth and pointed us to the food menu in the chalkboard. We also had another server but I didn't catch her name. They were both very friendly and attentive. I ordered the special for the day. A green chili Rueben & fries. Wow, this sandwich was so delicious! What a creative combination of flavors. Even the slaw in the Rueben included the green chilis. The fries were hot and crispy. My husband ordered the spicy BBQ pulled pork tacos. He said the tacos were amazing and the flavors were off the charts. They were topped with a slaw and pickles. The side of "tortilla chips" had a dusting of a very flavorful spice. Not sure what it was but very tasty. Looking over the menu, this restaurant has some very creative dishes. We can't wait to stop by again! My husband ordered
