Cute, local theater but staff is incredibly rude. We stopped in with some fresh coffee from Starbucks up the street and bought tickets to a movie that was just starting. We had our coffees in our hand as we bought the tickets then made our way over to concessions to purchase some snack. We purchased both from the same person so it was strange after we made our payment, they then decided to let us know we couldn't bring our coffees in. As my friend and I were deciding to see the next showing instead so we could finish our drinks and catch the film from the beginning, the manager decided to walk over and tell us if we saw the later showing she wouldn't refund our snacks. I found all of this so strange and rude so we decided to leave and go to another theater instead. The manager wouldn't let up and kept interrupting us to let us know if the other theater wouldn't let us in with our drinks either and even if we tried they were the only theater showing the movie. It was such a strange experience we got out of there as fast as possible and most likely won't go back until there is a staff turnover. read more

Maybe I'm going overboard with the five stars; this isn't the Arclight Hollywood. It's a quaint two-theatre venue, but they are big time supporters of the Durango Independent Film Festival, and we love them for that! Plus, their chairs were comfortable, bathrooms clean, clear picture, and great sound. Assigned stadium seating isn't always needed, so it seems. read more

Gaslight Theatres - Cinema Near Me - Durango, Colorado

A cozy little place, friendly people. Has recliner seats, the only bad thing is the back reclines but the feet don't. I wouldn't call them recliners. Other then that disappoint, it's a great place to see a movie. read more

A nice two screen movie theater on Main St. In Durango by the train station. The seats are comfy and reclinable (like new theaters have). The staff was very nice. Theater was clean! read more

Yeah, so it isn't the best theatre I have ever been in, but I always reward customer service. Went to a 6:05 showing of a movie, We were about 30 min early and hence the only ones there yet. Girl working the counter was super friendly and even said, " go ahead and get your seat, while I make some fresh, hot popcorn. I'll bring it to you!" Wow! Could have just given us some of what was leftover, but didn't! When in Durango and you want to see a movie, look here first. read more

Tiny theatre located near the Train Station; only has 2 theatres so it's pretty small but it does the job. Went for a 4:15 showing and still got the matinee price whoot! I like that its much closer and more convenient than the main movie theatre which is kinda far out near the mall. read more

My family and I were looking for an afternoon activity indoors and decided to catch a movie at the Gaslight Theatre. So glad we did! This is a small, quaint theater you hardly see anymore with great service and seating. read more
