I saw Allen Yeroushalmi, MD, at this facility on 2/5. I can't sing his praises high enough. At 4 pm he diagnosed a retinal tear. He then called 3 specialists offices to see if he could get me an appointment to have the issue corrected immediately. I must admit that I was a little bit fearful of having laser surgery, however, after having the procedure explained in such a calm and reassuring voice by Dr. Yeroushalmi, my fears almost dissipated and I looked forward to the surgery. My sister had a bad eye injury on a weekend, and the ER told her to quickly find an Ophthalmologist. Absolutely awful! Went to see him for problems I was having with ongoing watery eyes and general optical discomfort, particularly with my right eye. Although his office staff was courteous, efficient, friendly and welcoming, the doctor himself was devoid of any semblance of personality, not in the least friendly nor welcoming, and was barely listening as I explained my reason for coming. I woke up late January in a big panic once I realized my vision in my left eye had dramatically worsened to a point that I immediately called my optometrist. After a few failed appointments, my optometrist referred me to Dr. Yeroushalmi's office as I required a specialist. I immediately felt a sense of ease as the Dr. was much more gentle with not only his tone of voice but also the way he examined my eye. He prescribed me a steroid and we scheduled a reexamination in a couple of weeks. Long story short, I just had my latest examination and I was excited to go in because I finally started to see a drastic improvement with my vision. We did the usual routine and I could hear in his voice how excited he was too. His expertise was paying off and I am now on my way to waning off the prescribed steroid. I would definitely recommend Dr. Yeroushalmi as I have had nothing but positive experiences at his office. I had eye complications where My contacts ripped a layer of my lens off due to them being extremely dry after sleeping in them and I was in serious pain and couldn't open my eyes. I had gone to the ER the night before and received care but they suggested that I see an Ophthalmologist in three days if my condition doesn't get better. I was in so much pain that With the help of my sister, I sought out a specialist the following day and found Dr. Yeroushalmi. Not waiting was the best decision We could've made and he was very accommodating and caring. He seemed to do similar tests as the ER doc but the details were so different and even the prescriptions and care instructions were completely different. He advised that one of the prescriptions would prevent healing and to not use it and that possibly could've been the game changer for me. He followed up with us directly and I felt like he genuinely wanted me to get better and as fast as possible. I am still recovering but Words can't describe how I felt when the pain was gone and I could open my eyes again!!! I have been a patient of Dr. Yeroushalmi's for a few years now. When I started with Dr. Yeroushalmi he noted a few things wrong with my eyes and vision, one being a significant cataract in my left eye. During my visits he is always kind, professional, and thorough. Last week I had cataract surgery which went extremely well. I have an "eye phobia" (my term) about people touching my eyes, putting drops in my eyes, etc., so the thought of having surgery on my eye was anything but pleasant, however Dr. Yeroushalmi came through and my surgery was flawless and my vision now is AMAZING. I haven't had 20-20 vision for 30 years and in about an hour of painless surgery, Dr. Yeroushalmi gave me back color, detail, and sight. It was time for my regular eye exam when the doctor told me I had narrow angles and needed to see an Ophthalmologist and referred me to Dr. Yeroushalmi. They were able to see me right away and confirmed that I needed treatment and scheduled me for laser Iridotomy. He walked me through the whole proceMy eyes were in great hands. Doctor Yeroushalmi is knowledgeable, skilled, professional and extremely caring. He was willing to come in on Thanksgiving in case I had any complications, he called me to follow up and see how I was doing, great bed side manner. I saw the doctor one time, emergency visit; he was the only doctor that I could find on Sunday; nothing was done and I was told to put saline eye drops. The next day I got much worse and was treated by another doctor. He called me personally to collect 5 dollars that was left to pay. He was polite. More than a year later his staff called me to schedule an appointment; assuming that he is my doctor, he is not. Staff didn't know anything of my history and reason for my one time visit. read more

Doctor Yeroushalmi was nice however there were several glaring issues with his practice. First of all, the patient rooms weren't clean and had dust everywhere. The eye drops he used for dilating my eyes didn't work and he had to add more drops than you're supposed to. I noticed that my overall vision worsened after visiting his office, even after the dilation drops wore off. This means the drops were likely expired and or contaminated, along with the other drops he uses. I also noticed that my blepharitis worsened as I went to him and that lead me to believe the other drops he was using weren't clean. He also wanted me to use cliradex wipes on my eyes without determining if I even had demodex mites, which after going to a second opinion, I found out that I had none. So using those wipes he recommended would have been too harsh for my eyes. I wouldn't recommend this eye doctor whatsoever and if you love your eyes I'd say find someone reliable that you can really trust and whose office is clean. read more

My daughter was in town and suffered a massive scratch to her cornea. Dr. Y. was referred to her by an Urgent Care doctor. Dr. Y. was able to fit her in the next day - on a Sunday. He was very understanding and kind. He allowed her toddler-aged daughter to be in the examining room, which kept them both relaxed and calm. I was able to get an appointment that week. I felt very comfortable and knew that I was in good hands. We set a date for my surgery and Dr. Y kept me updated guided me through the pre op process. I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Y while searching for an eye dr. who would see me on a Sunday, he proved to be exactly what I needed. He saw me several hours after we spoke on the phone. He is knowledgeable, thorough and cares about his patients. He treated me for my eye condition, prescribed drops and even detected another issue I had been treated for in the past. I saw him today to ensure that the drops were working, and they are. I will be going back in two weeks to make sure that I am completely healed Dr. Y even went so far as to place a call to my primary care doctor to update her about my seeing him.
