For the past 4 years I've been a patient of Dr Tim Smith at Purcellville Dental. Dr Smith's Purcellville office is first rate. Clean. Good vibes. Cutting edge technology. The staff very nice; especially MJ, the good Dr.s' assistant who was cordial, professional, and most importantly MJ knows her stuff. These folks are pros, and at the top of their game. The two primary factors that matter the most to me are the dentists competency and price. Without question, Dr Smith is the best dentist I have ever been to. That's 60 years of dentists. Dr Smith is at the top of his game. Extremely thorough, methodical, and he goes that extra mile to ensure the patient's total comfort and at the same time getting the mission accomplished successfully. He is currently treating me for an implant replacement. His fees are competitive, reasonable. You're getting top dentistry for incredibly decent prices. In summary, I can't give a higher recommendation for Dr Smith and his staff. The highest Competency. Cutting edge technology. Relaxed, hygienic, atmosphere. Great staff. Reasonable pricing. It's why I travel from N Bethesda to Purcellville. They're that good. You won't be disappointed.

I was pleasantly greeted by their front desk staff upon entering and the hygienist (Alaina) ushered me In after a very short wait. Alaina took extra time to explain in detail what she was about to do and the procedures, equipment and substances she was using to X-ray and painlessly clean my teeth. In addition, she indicated where she saw problems, recommended corrective procedures, and verified my insurance coverage. Dr. Singh examined my teeth after cleaning, thoroughly explaining the what, why of my dental situation and recommended protective procedures. After accepting her findings and recommendations, I scheduled a follow-up appointment and my wife will schedule also.

The gums around the crown were dark maroon/black in places. A different dentist, who is no longer here, caught the infection the year prior. It was on my records, and the referral to a specialist AND the specialist's results, should have been on top/most recent entries in my medical history. I went through the ENTIRE cleaning with hygienist and Dr. Barekzi, not a word mentioned, and when I asked about it afterwards, they both looked at me like I was crazy. They repeatedly said "There is no infection, you're fine, nothing's wrong." The gum around my infected tooth was dark maroon in several places. Their own practice had sent me to a specialist the previous visit. They did not even read my chart, and I guess they performed the entire cleaning with their eyes closed? Do NOT come here.

I originally did my research about this place and I saw some issues with billing but it seemed like a one off but unfortunately I fell victim to it. I have had multiple conversations with staff about the billing with insurance and specific charges that they talked through during the consultation and every conversation was different. I had to end up calling my dental insurance and explaining the situation to have it resolved back and forth almost 6 months later. Truly ridiculous. Save some headache and find a different place!
