I've been a patient of Dr. Ourfalian for several years, and I was actually referred to him by my CPA who used to share the same office building (also a wonderful guy). It's been a good minute since I've seen Dr. Ourfalian, but recently I referred the love of my life to his office for some dental work and to check out an infected tooth. My boyfriend said he was instantly at ease with Dr. Ourfalian, despite being embarrassed about the condition of his teeth at the moment, and he said he wishes he would have gone to see him much sooner. Dr. Ourfalian is honest and doesn't try to upsell you on anything; he is also gentle and very thorough. I believe their office still offers options for dental insurance, and if a larger procedure is necessary, they there are a few financing programs available to help out with the cost. All of the other positive reviews are true and from real patients, so I hope those and mine are enough to assure you that you'll be in good hands! If you're looking for a new dentist, look no further!

At the time I thought this was all I could expect, but 16 years later and a freshly updated crown complete I am beyond pleased and proud of the way my teeth look. I didn't know there would be a dentist that would care the way that Dr. Perlaza did. The lab he uses is fantastic, coming in to custom shade match, then taking the time to come back and make a slight shade adjustment because doctor was not happy with the match the first time. I needed to get dental insurance and find an in-network dentist. My insurance agent, whom I trust, recommended Dr. Olivia Cajulis, who is his dentist. It's been a refreshing change. Dr. Cajulis is very caring and skilled. When the temporary tooth the horrible oral surgeon, my old dentist, sent me to fell out, she took the time to get it back in, so I wasn't toothless while we were waiting for my crown to come in. This was my front tooth, and for you older people who may get this, I looked like Alfred E. Neuman without it. The lab they used for my crown was also excellent, and the color match for this high-profile tooth was amazing. We are moving on to do some other work, including treatment for a couple of cracked teeth to avoid the expense of a crown. I incurred significant expenses for the implant on the front tooth, which Dr. Cajulis is sensitive to. She has been gracious in the charges to fix up this old man's mouth and help me afford a mouth guard to protect my now very expensive mouth. The office staff has also been very helpful. I'm not a fan of change, but in this case, a change to Dr. Cajulis has been good.

Singing, shouting, high-fiving, giggling in the halls, using inappropriate terms of endearment that I hoped were outdated 20 years ago, and one front desk assistant, "Kay", who actually asked me as I was completing my paperwork if I "knew how to relax" (??!!) - and just wanted to chat while I was trying to answer important questions about cancer and previous illnesses on the onboarding paperwork. It's a bit unsettling that a doctor would be aware (by her own admission) of this inappropriate behavior from her staff, and yet not have ensured that patients do not suffer from this unprofessionalism. She is after all the boss, the one paying the salaries, yet seemed to lack the confidence and desire to ensure that her office is run professionally and respectfully. I'm sure some patients do not mind all of the shenanigans going on while they're trying to get through an appointment... But some adults just want to have a calming, peaceful, and respectful appointment when they're having to survive what could be a stressful experience. Concerns were addressed with the doctor, who first asked me if I would please speak to her staff -??! - To which I said, that wasn't my responsibility as a patient. So she would take the feedback to heart, and have serious conversations with all of the technicians who clearly never got the memo that courteous respect is far preferable to infantile behavior- especially when one's health is concerned. Looking at other reviews, there's at least three other former patients who claim they will not be back because the staff is unprofessional, grab the wrong charts, address patients by the wrong name, or kept them waiting for over an hour. This all stems from a Doctor who doesn't feel that it's her right / responsibility to discipline her staff appropriately. Given the number of negative comments on her reviews, hopefully she will begin to take this to Hart and decide that her practice and patients deserve better. Other considerations: this doctor only takes premier delta, otherwise you'll be paying out-of-pocket. The building entrance is hidden behind a used car lot on a side street off of Van Nuys - yet the front desk staff failed to mention this in the THREE phone calls setting up my initial appointment. Would've been good to have mentioned this to new patients- rather than having us to play hide and seek to find our way to the office. This again was "Kay" - who also unfortunately has the nervous habit of changing what she stated three times. I was running a bit late to my appointment, yet when she handed me my paperwork, she said "don't worry, you're early!" I pointed out my appointment was at 2:30, she paused, laughed, and said "oh well, then you're right on time!" to which I said "no I'm 10 minutes late". Her response? "Oh ... well anyway - that's OK!" Yet, this is the person inputting all of our medical history - definitely concerning, not professional. There is no parking validation. You might get lucky and find street parking. Building is somewhat outdated, the vibe of a Florida retirement home, could definitely do with some updating. First exam was very thorough, teeth were definitely well cleaned, and at least the flow of all the different procedures for a first time patient were well organized. Thank you.

They always find time to fit me in and their teeth cleanings are quick and painless. The dentists are all super nice and the office staff is actually way nicer if that's even possible. I think they may have hired kindergarten teachers to be their front desk because they are so sweet and kind. I love this place and I really don't like the dentist at all but this place makes me reconsider my opinion that maybe all dentists aren't sadists!
