They are reasonable and make old bike look new. Very friendly and offer advice at no charge. They worked on my old Yamaha that other shops would not even look at. The owner Jim is an old time biker and invited me to just come by for coffee. They also have an junk yard that you can look through. There are no shops like this any more. A GEM! read more

My 2003 Yamaha 450 Kodiak atv has gasoline in the crancase. After I serviced the engine, I noticed it did not run quite right. It had a slight miss. I purchased a carb kit and put it in myself...but it still did not run properly I took it to a shop in Spokane Valley to have it checked, along with the old carb parts as well as the remaining carb kit parts. After $300, it hardly would run. They thought the timing chain was stretched. I replaced the chain... absolutely no change in how it ran. My son recommended Allen's Cycle. They called the next day to tell me that an internal part was missing from the carb...a part that you cannot buy. Allen's recommended I perchase a Chineese-made carb to get the part, which I did. As long as it was in the shop, I also had the set the valves and replace the boot on the intake of the carb. All of this for $200. That old 2003 Kodiak now runs better than I believe it ever has!! Allen's Cycle folks are very congenial and absolutely experts on motorcycles, atv, and etc repair. I highly recomend Allen's Cycle for all of your ctcle/atv/utv needs!! read more

Called just a few moments ago to inquire about some tires. Right away this guy (Jim Allen) was aggressive telling me he didn't have what I need. I over looked the aggressive yelling out of nowhere and continue to ask about something else (front end). I wanted to know if his front end would fit in my bike. Again he starts yelling saying he didn't have what I needed. The very item he just told me was all he had. I may have said a total of 25 words because every time I opened my mouth he would just cut me off and yell. I don't know if this guy is having a bad day or he's upset for some reason. I was completely polite never said a bad word or got an attitude in ANY WAY. I don't get it. I did nothing to warrant his behavior. What I do know is this is not how u treat a potential customer or ANYONE to be honest customer or not. This is not good business. Very disappointed. I will never ship bye or call this business again. I deserve an apology. I did nothing to the guy for his behavior. read more

Wf your interest is vintage motorcycles, this is your store. Jim Allen is the Customer Service guy, his brother is the technical manager, and father Jim Sr is overseeing the whole thing. The Allen brothers hold several vintage racing World Championships. The experience and knowledge are first class. I have purchased used and new parts from the Allens, had them mount tires, re-spoke rims, and even weld frames for my old bikes. The motorcycle 'boneyard' in the back has yielded several treasures you'd pay a fortune for on Ebay. They are generous with their time, and advice. A few work "deadlines" were pushed out because of race activities and lack of enough techs at a given moment. I don't commute with my old bikes, so I can afford to be patient. Great place for old parts and repair of vintage bikes. If your thin skinned and want someone to lay down the red carpet for you to enter maybe your not suited for this motorcycle shop. They are a little gruff but truly are the best at what they do & sell. I have many old Yamaha bikes and work on them until my limit of knowledge, then take them here and they come back running perfect from not even starting. I would not go anywhere else as I have in the past with mixed results not a for sure repair like here. read more

The absolute worse service I've ever encountered anywhere. These foul mouthed brothers fight in front of you and then continue to tell you how f'n busy they are and don't have room to keep your cycle overnight so it will be kept outdoors and unsafe even after you scheduled the drop off a week out. There is a reason they are so cheap. They said they fixed a fuel line and fuel gage and brought it home only to find fuel gage didn't work and fuel line still leaked. When called back to see what they were willing to do I was yelled at and told to bring it in and let it sit until they can get to it and figure it out. At least two weeks. No thanks I'll spend my time making sure Spokane is warned about your bad practices and rude behavior. read more

I recently brought my dad's old enduro motorcycle in that hadn't ran in 43 years. My buddy and I thought we cleaned it well but it just wasn't running that great, especially when I had to change gears. Anyways when we arrived we were told to expect a 3-4 week wait. To our surprise the bike was done in 10 days, which is impressive with how swamped they get with nice weather coming out. The price was certainly fair and I am very pleased with their work. Rode the bike for an hour today on/off road and it performed great. Thanks guys! read more

Everyone told me that this was the place to go, a real, old-school cycle shop where you could get things done. Came in for some parts to rebuild an obsolete cable. The father turned me on to his son who reportedly does the cables. The guy barks that he's having a crappy time and has his hands full at that very moment. Which I totally understand. I tell him I can wait. Then then barks at his dad that they can't help me. The dad obviously is a bit embarrassed and offers to oblige. But at that point I'm not giving any money to a guy who acts that way. This is business. You're paid for your inconvenience. read more

Terrible customer service. Sprocket sport had to fix there mess up. Sprocket sport even gives discounts to people who had there bikes messed up by allen and his blind co worker. Beware owner will make you pay with cash. Very shady. read more

Works on my older bike. Have had tons of work done by them on 1979 GS 750. Carb rebuilds, valve adjustments, steering bearings, and just plan upkeep. It now runs like a top and I have faith to take it anywhere I want without it breaking down. read more

Horrible repair work. Bike came back in worse shape than I brought it in. Missing bolts. Incorrect repairs. Given multiple re-attempts and never got it right. Don't go here. I brought an '04 Vulcan in for top end work on one of the cylinders and the bike has never ran the same again. The bike was in perfect condition except for a bad cylinder. Not a single nut or bolt was missing and everything was exact from the factory. When I got it back it was missing 17 bolts, two hoses, a spring, a ball bearing, and both air cleaner duct springs. Plus, several MAJOR items were not reattached. On my ride home I realized the gas tank and seat were both completely unbolted. I turned around and brought the bike back and they couldn't find the original bolts so they used misc loose spares to reattach the items. Not alright. After that, I noticed the bike was not running right so I brought it back TWO MORE TIMES and they STILL didn't fix the problems. Blaming the problems, instead, on the bike just being "temperamental" in nature. I gave up on them and started overhauling the bike myself. I found several disconnected hoses, a missing spring/ball bearing from the carbs, missing carb vent cap, mis-synced carbs, missing air cleaner duct springs (replaced instead with safety wire), mis-routed wiring and hoses, and loose bolts everywhere. Not only was their work shotty, they gave me back an unsafe and poorly running bike and they failed to fix the problem when I gave them MULTIPLE chances to. Do not go here! read more

Early last summer when Allen's Cycle was booked out for 2 months, I was able to speak with the owner about a mechanical issue I was having on my ancient Yamaha Virago. He was up front about the wait time and suggested a few things I could try on my own because of it. Thanks to some good advice (even though it meant I wouldn't be a paying customer this time around), I was able to get on the road after a weekend of shade tree mechanic work. I recommend this shop to all my buddies who need work on their motorcycles and have yet to hear anything bad about them! I will definitely use them when I need work done I cant handle myself. read more

Horrible. I went in there to get 2 new dirt bike tires put on my two bikes and it was a nightmare to say the least. One of the bikes didn't get a flat, but the other one my CRF450X got one after I brought it home and left it in the garage. When I called them about it they argued with me and the owner or son of the owner got angry and when I showed up at the shop with it wouldn't even look me in the face as if it was my fault when I told him I wanted to take the high road on this and talk with him about it. This is after they told me on the phone twice that it was $20 per tire change if I brought in the wheel. When I left the shop and looked at my bill, they had charged me $30 per tire and when I called them back they argued vehemently. The son actually told me his eighty-five-year-old father probably got it wrong so I let it go. But after I got the first flat, and told them they got it wrong and I needed it repaired without being charged again, they continue to argue until I suggested they don't. I then went to Moab and got my second flat on the bike and my trip to Moab was curtailed because of it. When I got back home I took it to another shop and I know this shop well and the people that work there. When I told him the story and ask him to look very carefully at the tire rim and everything because I keep getting flats after the shop gave me two flats after their work on it, he came out and told me there were metal shavings in it, that the wheel spoke cover was missing, and that they put in a 90/100 tube instead of the right sized tube in my 110/100 tire...LOL. Pathetic to say the least. If I've learned anything it's not worth trying to save a measly 20 bucks going to a very lousy dirt bike shop. You get what you pay for and in this case it cost me a lot of money to simply get a couple tires put on. And grief to say the least. read more
