I've been a patient at Austin Allergy & Asthma Clinic for 10 years, after suffering a lifetime from "Cedar Fever." Dr. Gaglani tested me and determined the offending irritants. I get my shots of special serum and it's made such a difference. I can honestly say that I've been "Cedar Fever" free for 10 years. Dr. G was great as was her PA. They quickly resolved the mystery of why I had been coughing for 3 months straight. My allergies had reappeared 20+ years after getting shots. They follow up closely and keep you on track with treatments because otherwise it isn't effective. We love the doctor here but the nurses are completely unprofessional, they like to make my partner feel uncomfortable by flirting with him every time he goes to receive his allergy shots and especially for appointments. These young nurses need to realize that it's not okay to be "too" nice, and make there customers feel this way. I don't know if this is something personal or if it happens to all the young men who go in there but it's very wrong. Like they get to excited to see him. We've never experienced something like it. I have been treated by several other doctors for the past 12 years after being diagnosed with adult on set asthma. Each doctor prescribed inhalers and various drugs and steroids. I have had pneumonia multiple times over the years and I felt I was on a downward spiral, health wise. Dr. Gaglani recommended an asthma medication that has transformed my life. I've never been to an allergist before. I ended up here because of some digestive issues and I already met my deductible insurance wise this year. I first met with the nurse practitioner to go over the initial consult. Upon my second visit I met with the doctor to go over the blood test results. Upon my results I found out I have a mild barley allergy. What does this mean? No more beer of whisky!!!! Wtf?!? It is sad but I know my current alcohol consumption so I will be playing around with experiments to see the results of how alcohol with barely and me handle each other. I was annoyed with the wait here both times. Besides that I do think the doctor and NP know what they are talking about. read more

Dr. Gaglani is amazing! She's is by far the most thorough and thoughtful doctor I have ever seen. She has an amazing memory and attention to detail. Three members of my family see her and I trust her fully with all of us. My daughter recently had an accidental allergen exposure and I called the office in a panic. The receptionist immediately paged Dr. G, who was off that afternoon, and I received a call back less than 3 minutes later. Dr. G walked me through everything and called me back just to make sure I understood everything. She's absolutely amazing. The office staff are all on top of everything. I never have to call to check on prescription refills or any paperwork. They always complete requests when promised (usually much earlier) correctly the first time. Dr. Binaca Gaglani is a marvelous doctor, who I'd recommend without reservations. I was having a persistent problem with post-nasal drip. My GP tried several things and suggested I try Dr. Gaglani. She was very nice, extremely well informed and quite patient as we talked about my condition. I came back a few weeks later and took a full battery of allergy test. It wasn't a very bad experience as I knew what to expect. As it turns out, my problem wasn't caused by allergies and Dr. Gaglani was quick to acknowledge this. All-in-all, it was nice to deal with such a nice, professional Doctor, who admitted that she didn't necessarily have the solution to my problem. read more

The staff at Allergies & Asthma Clinic in Austin are both helpful and caring. Dr. Binaca Gaglani is a doctor who listens carefully to patient concerns, and strives to give you the best care for your needs. I frequently receive samples for suggested prescriptions, and if something is not covered by my insurance, Dr. Gaglani provides me with other lower cost or over-the-counter prescriptions. The billing staff has always been helpful in printing invoices if I request them, and is willing to touch base with insurance in advance if something that may not be covered. You may not see the same nurse every time for allergy injections, and that's really my only complaint. That's a personal preference, though, as I like an office that knows me and knows where I like my shots to be given. But the nurses are more than willing to adjust as you see fit, and to top it off with anti-itch cream and bandages (if you don't want medicine on your sleeves) as well as providing an ice pack if the injection site becomes itchy. If you get your shots during daytime hours, you rarely wait more than 10-15 minutes beforehand. read more

After seeing 3 other doctors and an allergist to get relief from worsening allergies over 3 years, I went to Dr. Gaglani. My last previous doctor told me, "there is no cure, we just have to treat it, and you have to live with it!". Dr. Gaglani's approach is different, which is to find the root causes, and to come up with a solution that is long lasting and does not involve strong prescriptions. 4 months after starting her allergy drops treatment, I started noticing subtle, but definite improvements in my condition, then even more dramatic improvements each month after that! Amazing results in spite of having only an exam by telephone due to the Covid outbreak. After only one week I am 90% improved and can sleep through the night for the first time in months. This is my 2nd year of disappointment with this practice. Last year they waited until almost the end of the year, to even tell me that I wasn't covered with my insurance plan without a referral, despite the fact that I gave them my change of information up front. They should have run it and let me know ahead of time, rather than send me a huge bill towards the end of the year. Well, this year I made SURE that I was covered up front, but AGAIN they waited until SEPTEMBER to even send me my first bill for the year. They confirmed my correct email address, and although my address had changed I changed it with the post office and my mail was being forwarded, so there was no reason I shouldn't have been getting bills sent to me monthly to make payment of my office visits more reasonable. Then when I went in to get an allergy shot, they tried to deny me service and said I needed to make a payment. I told them I would put $40 towards my bill, the receptionist then told me I had to pay half of my bill before they give me my allergy shot. Mind you, this is after I'd been waiting for 20+ minutes to get my allergy shot, I told them I was unable to afford half of the bill at once and after consulting with the "billing dept" aka the Dr sitting in the back they let me get my shot. I called today to get my nasal spray RX refilled because my pharmacy said they were not getting a response from the Dr office and I called them to see what was going on. They said I hadn't seen the dr since 2017 and I needed to have a follow up appointment before they would let me have my rx. First of all, who's fault is that and secondly, it's an over the counter medication that I just need an rx for to be covered by my insurance. They also informed me they won't be administering anymore allergy shots until I see the dr either. These people really do only care about your money and will extort you in different ways to get it, even though they completely slack on their end getting things done. I will most certainly NOT be using them anymore and I strongly advise that you look for another allergy dr that cares a bit more about their patients and less about the $$$. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I thought I had lucked out when this place was listed in my network and saw the fantastic reviews. Boy was I wrong. This place is only in business to make money at whatever cost possible. They do not care about their patients. I made my first appointment over the phone and was excited to finally get some relief from my allergies. I had never undergone allergy testing and was looking forward to getting this done and finding something that worked better than the over the counter medicine I had been taking. At my first appointment I was told I had to be off my over the counter medicine for a week before I could get the testing done, something that could've been said over the phone so I wouldn't have to come back again the next week and pay a second co-pay. Strike one. Once Dr. Gaglani tried to talk me into getting the allergy shots and told me that my insurance plan was very good and that I should take advantage. I was told it would cover 80% of the costs. I told her I would think about it and stuck to a prescription. My prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. Strike two. I went back for my one month checkup to see how my prescription had worked out and asked for more info on the allergy shots. I was convinced it would be a good deal and decided to go for it. I show up for my first shot and the nurse asks me if I brought my epi-pen. I was told I would get one but was not told when or where. Apparently they sent a prescription to my pharmacy without telling me I needed to bring this with me to the first visit. Strike three. A few days after my first shot, I get a bill emailed to me for the full cost of the allergy shots because my insurance does not cover it. After I was told NUMEROUS times that it did. Needless to say I will not be going back to this place. Maybe it's just my ignorance to the way the health system works, apart from seasonal allergies I'm very healthy so I don't have much experience with this. But this is just a terrible way to run an office. The disorganization, the inconvenience, the lack of truthful information is all too much. Never again. read more

I'm sticking with 4 stars. The Foof was tested yesterday for 29 common allergies and only reacted to 1. SO, there's not much they can do for her. The nurse/allergy-testing-tech was super nice, explained what she was going to do before she did it, tried to make it as easy as possible. While the timeline seemed longer than what I expected, I soon realized that developing a resistance to allergens would have to take time. The word "doctor" is derived from the latin word for "to teach", and Dr. Gaglani was a fantastic teacher during this process. She was very patient with my questions and very clearly explained what needed to be done. She told me it was my responsibility to check with my insurance to see what was covered since she sees patients with such a wide variety of insurances. I love Dr Gaglani and her clinic. Allergies be gone, well almost. I had been suffering from a number of allergies and one of the major one is Oak. I have had various treatments before but ever since starting allergy injections here, I feel much better. I was searching for Allergy specialists who were specifically trained in that field and were certified by the Medical Board of Allergy. Prior treatments from my family doctor were not helping. This season oak was strong in the air but I was so much better this time. In my appointments with Dr Gaglani, she is always very focused. The staff has been efficient.
