The rating for this doctor is ZERO stars.   Here is what happened: Firstly he made assumptions about the condition and about the personality of tween kids before he walked into the room. He did not listen to our problems and started giving parenting advice that did not go well. He shared all about his life which the visit was not about.  Based on his presumptions he had decided kids born in the US do not know how to solve problems, He was insisting my child to share about the problems she has solved without building trust with her. This I fel was way beyond his boundaries. Secondly, the doctor did not demonstrate good bedside manners.  His tone was unkind. He grabbed the phone, talked to her rudely. My child is a sensitive, shy kid. He made her cry inconsolably. I honestly was taken aback and felt like leaving the room but I did not want to be rude. Thirdly, He had no empathy. Even when hearing her lungs he rudely told her she can leave soon if she lets him hear her lungs by stopping to cry. What kind of behavior was that? I expected pediatricians to be kind and console the patients if they wanted them back, not make them run out of the office in fear. He was nothing like what I expected. He was unapologetic and aggressive.  Lastly, he came way close to the face to make his point and it made me very very uncomfortable. We went for something and he took the visit in a different direction . I was in shock , disappointment and waiting to get out of the office. I felt sorry that I put my child through this. I also felt his approach would be very different to a white mom and white kid. I'm still super frustrated at him. This is my 1st review and I'm writing this so another child or parent does not have to go through what we went through. Hope it is helpful.

She came up with a treatment plan and has for the first time put my mind at ease since we finally have an idea what we are dealing with. I cannot say anything better about this doctor. I have 3 boys, who are rowdy and have special needs (autism, adhd). He picked up on that immediately and responded appropriately, calmly and was able to meet their needs as well as the rest of us. We are leaving the area/out of state or we'd stay with Dr. Rubin. We were only allowed one pair of glasses on our insurance, so he was very cordial in knowing that my kids would need more pairs-b/c one of them breaks their glasses every year, so getting a prescription to order online for them, was no issue. Fast forward to 2020, I noticed that my daughter seemed to be having allergy issues so I decided to seek out Dr Yoon again because his service was outstanding during my visit with him. I was happy to find that he opened his own practice in Ashburn so I scheduled an appointment for my daughter. The scheduling process was very swift and I was able to sign up to their patient portal on the same day with the assistance of the receptionist who was very friendly and helpful. I took my daughter to her appointment yesterday and was very pleased with the cleanliness, high tech equipment and aroma of the office. The women at the front desk were friendly and greeted us with a smile. We arrived about 15 minutes early and did not have to wait until our appointment time to be seen. Just as I had remembered, Dr Yoon was very pleasant and easy going. My daughter was found to be allergic to trees and cat hair. Dr Yoon was super informative, knowledgeable and gave us more than enough information on treating her allergies moving forward. He also gave us a good amount of sample products to take home with us. I highly recommend him for your allergy needs. He was willing, ready and able to answer all of the questions we had. He took his time and that alone shows that he's passionate about the work he does. I highly recommend his office.
