I noticed a plaque stating the doors may be locked from 12:30 to 1:00, so I waited until 1:00 before returning. When it was still locked at 1:00, the time of my appointment, I knocked to alert staff that I was there. The staff member who opened the door was visibly irritated, pointed to the plaque, and asked if I "had a question" instead of welcoming me or simply saying hello. Her tone and attitude were rude and unprofessional from the start. Once I was inside, another staff member came around the corner and, instead of showing professionalism or trying to diffuse the situation, made a sarcastic comment about the plaque and their lunch hours as she walked away, clearly meant to be rude. If the office is closed until 1:00, then maybe appointments should not be scheduled at that time. It is customary for patients to arrive a few minutes early to check in. Had the first staff member simply opened the door, greeted me, and said "let's get you checked in," the entire situation could have been avoided. Instead, she acted as though I had inconvenienced her by knocking. The echocardiogram technician was not rude, but she was indifferent and impersonal. She seemed rushed and less thorough than other technicians I have experienced. What truly concerned me was that after telling me I would need to undress and put on a gown, she did not leave the room. When she realized I wasn't changing, she asked if I wanted her to leave, but in a way that made it seem unnecessary or inconvenient for her to do so. That should never even be a question. Patient privacy should always be assumed and respected. In my 50 years, I have never had a nurse, doctor, or technician ask that in any medical setting. They always leave the room to provide privacy. It was unprofessional and inappropriate. The room itself also appeared unclean, with a trash can overflowing with used gowns, dirt on the floor, and dirty chairs, which made the environment feel unsanitary. It's a shame when poor staff behavior reflects so poorly on a practice. There are too many options out there to tolerate this level of unprofessionalism.

I have been trying to simply make an appointment and confirm what tests will be done…read more Unfortunately my first visit consisted of waiting almost 2 hours to find out I could not do the required EKG due to some treatment side effects. This time I have been reaching out via their website and telephone for about 10 days and all I can get is odd responses from Rayna. She has advised me that if I don't bring test results, that the doctor has access to, to my appointment then I will have to wait while they access them. I do not understand why they would not pull the actual results and add them to my file. Maybe that is why my last visit was so long? I also cannot get a clear answer on what tests this visit will consist of as Rayna again says none but if they missed the EKG then obviously they will want to do that. Trying to confirm what else and after speaking to her twice it is very clear she does not listen or notate what calls consists of with patients. I have asked that a nurse or someone engaged in patient care calls me back. Fingers crossed after 10 + days someone trained in care returns my call as I liked the doctor but it's like pulling teeth to get info and I am already late for a follow up that never called me to schedule!

They are wonderful and very understanding. During my last visit, one of the nurses gave me some great, practical tips for managing my allergies, even sharing what works for her own kids, which I really appreciated. The Cons: My initial experience was a total nightmare due to insurance hurdles. While that isn't the fault of the practice itself (third-party insurance is the absolute worst), it definitely made the start of my journey here rocky. More recently, they've implemented a new sign-in sheet process. Since this was a change from previous visits, I mistakenly thought it was only for new patients. When the front desk clerk asked me to sign in, she responded with a confused look and a bit of a rude tone. It was a minor friction point, but a little more patience for returning patients adjusting to the new workflow would go a long way!

In short, the appointment was for our 18-year-old daughter. She has had severe symptoms uncharacteristic for someone her age: insomnia, migraines, fatigue, chronic pain throughout her body and more. A good physician knows how to make a patient feel as though they are being cared for, that their concerns are valid, and that they are being heard. Dr. Lavery took the time to listen to her concerns, look over her medical history, asked a lot of questions and had several ideas on how to troubleshoot the situation. Dr. Lavery was more than willing to work to figure out what is going on with her. Rather than rushing into diagnosis too quickly, he assured her that he had a process in place and once he received all of the data he needed, he would talk to her about a diagnosis. Dr. Lavery up to this point has been vigilant about following up on tests and communicated those results through a portal he offers his clients. Our daughter is empowered to talk to him any time of the day and he responds quickly. Having access to your doctor like this is remarkable! Thus far he has become a strong advocate for our daughter. He has helped her get medicines approved, secure an appointment for tests or meet with a specialist, and access other necessary services. The best doctors are willing to go the extra mile for their patients' well-being, and this certainly describes Dr. Lavery. We are in the early stages of solving this problem, but after years of waiting to find the right physician to crack this case, Dr. Lavery has been worth the wait. Peace be with you.

Set an appointment for a Dr. visit and a possible x-ray from an injury that "might" be work related. This was something for the doctor to determine as there were several variables. Once the nurse heard the word "JOB", she cancelled my appointment. I never got to finish why it might be job related or might not be, as I was at work with my boss in front of me. Called the next day (as they close before I got off work) and was told the nurse was with a patient and she would call back. I stated, I wanted to reinstate my appointment this afternoon and that it was cancelled wrongly. 3 1/2 hours past with no return call. I called back and cancelled a future appointment for a checkup that was over 2 months away (soonest possible date). Less than 5 minutes later, a manager called me to ask why I was cancelling my appointment. That confirmed my opinion that this office is more worried about counting their $$ than helping patients. Over 3 1/2 hours and still counting for a patients health concerns vs. under 5 minutes after cancelling an appointment. My wife left years ago for the same problems. The manager stated that we don't call patients back until the end of the day and that was policy. My wife found that they just don't call patients back unless it was over billing. No wonder so many are demanding free health care. They must all have visited this clinic! All kidding aside, in my opinion, their action proved to me that patients are here to serve the clinic, not the other way around. $$ over patients = Goodbye! I was really excited to meet with Dr. Mallick. He seemed like exactly what I was needed. I have chronic gut health issues (poor digestion, nausea, bowel issues) and he emphasized finding the root cause. This is just what I was looking for and after being so sick for 3 days, I booked a call with him. Looking back, I see similarities to my interaction on the call and the interaction we had in person. I scheduled the call, watched the linked video which looked good, he seemed to be the type of doctor I needed to truly heal. On the phone call itself, I briefly explained my issues and the call seemed a little bit rushed but I assumed he was busy, he is a doctor. I was handed to his receptionist and scheduled my appointment, he said to think of this first appointment as an interview. My husband, who took off for this appointment and my 1 year old son came with. The appointment begins and he talked a lot about the process, asked me some questions - but not with the intent to get to know me, understand, or to listen but because he was listening for the response he needed to decide whether to take me as a patient. During the appt, he told me he has ended consultations early in the past, once he learns that they are not the right fit for him. He asked many questions, some in repeat because he was making sure I was committed to his process and he made this very known. He seemed understanding of my son being there but when my son needed me for a moment (I was still listening, parents learn how to multitask) and said how "he will wait" before continuing. At the end of the appointment, he talked about the investment which for 4 months (which is what he recommended for me) it was $5600 and included everything such as supplements, future appointments, etc. When we started discussing financials, we felt pressure to sign up for their financing, apply right there, and we will be all set to start. We took time to privately discuss and I decided that I wanted to give Dr. Mallick the benefit of the doubt and asked if I can discuss some concerns with him. I didn't want to write him off without trying - this is about my health after all. I shared my concerns about how the interaction felt very different than I was expecting. I explained that I was seeking a human to human interaction, someone to truly listen to me, to take time to ask about what I was experiencing, and I asked for more transparency for what the treatment plan is which he doesn't usually share in detail as to not overwhelm the patient. He said he has had 3-4% of patients that would drop out of his process. He said "it's called vetting" to describe what his initial consultation is for. Reflecting back, I consider that a small percentage when the percentage of patients who likely walk away after this type of interaction are probably much higher. When I said that I was looking for someone to truly listen, he said "Didn't I listen when I was asking you questions about (XYZ)?". There is a difference between listening for the right response & truly listening to someone. He also said how the appointment can't be like "having a coffee and chatting". Which looking back, I feel that my concerns themselves were not only refuted but again, not truly listened to. We left without signing up for anything and I went home and sobbed and prayed to God for help. I felt like I would never find anyone to help me until, with the help of God's direction, I found Dr. Joel Miller, a functional medicine doctor that loves to serve and listen. Dr. Mallick, I hope you truly reflect on my feedback and the concerns that I see others have shared in the past. I also encourage others to read his responses to previous negative reviews.

Also, I was informed most of her appointments are taken by the PA who has "been with them for several years" and "does everything the doctor does." This is "their normal practice" apparently. I've never heard of such a thing. I asked if it was considered a "doctor's visit" if it was with the PA, and was informed that yes, yes it is. Huh? So why isn't the PA the MD then? Because the PA is *not* an MD... why are we paying a premium for a PA visit? I've visited multiple doc offices before and have had the pleasure of working with their PA's, but NEVER before working directly with the MD/specialist first and certainly throughout my care. Very disappointed after reading all the positive reviews about this place.

Just a few down side issues...there is a charge if you miss your appointment, even if it's an emergency. However, the doctor worked with me on this fee & waived it. The billing / coding on a visit was also entered in incorrectly and I was billed from my insurance company. But the office corrected it, and took care of it after I contacted them. It's nice to see that they can correct errors & look at policy. I would recommend getting rid of the no show fee, it's very high and things happen. Overall, very pleased and would recommend.
