The doctors, PAs, and medical assistants are extremely knowledgeable of allergies, the reactions vs sensitivities, willing to work with you and your insurance (accepts Medi-Cal), explains everything in an understandable way and willing to take the time to explain when you question or ask things. The staff is always encouraging and wanting to keep your health as a priority to take the best care of you. They take your temp at the door and are very conscious of health regulations keeping everyone safe. Highly recommend. I was seeing another allergist for about 4 months without any plan or solutions being discussed. My frustration led me to AllergyDox via a referral and during my first visit, Dr. Manoukian had a plan of action and subsequent tests and medications were planned out. I've since started cluster shots for immunotherapy and it's been such an amazing experience (not the shots, but the care I've received). Everyone from the person at the front desk to the person who schedules my appointments, to the PA and the person giving me my shots has been beyond kind and caring. Their testing site for allergies is a joke... You are set up to an appointment at a certain time and end up waiting for an hour or more all due to the staff taking in patients who are super late to their appointments... Then they suggest you come waste your time again on another with hopes the same won't happen. Last year when it was done in the same building it was super easy and fast. Not only did they have us wait about an hour, the nurse wasn't gentle with my toddler at all, it showed she has zero experience dealing with little ones. Last year we had a gentleman who was amazing with my lil one, he made her feel safe and the transition was super smooth... I don't recommend this place at all if you're bringing your child. Expect to be seating and wait for an hour or more. They also over book patients... read more

I've been to many allergists in the past, and these guys are great! They are very mindful of your progress and symptoms throughout the entire treatment process. The staff are kind, communicative, and competent with administering treatment as well as scheduling. Dr. Manoukian is thorough and clearly knows his stuff. He also has a very kind approach. I live nowhere near the facility, but I still prefer getting my treatment from them just for the peace of mind that I'm on the right track to a better quality of life. Before getting allergy testing, I spoke to the Nurse Practitioner, Emma, who took my various concerns very seriously and also looked into a lot of other things. She ordered many blood tests in order to rule out some conditions and such, which I was so grateful for. When all that came back and we went over results, it was time for allergy skin tests to be scheduled. Both times the staff that did them for me were so kind and gentle, explaining well what was to be done, and checking multiple times on my comfort, etc. The test was kind of painful but not as bad as I was expecting, thankfully. After 15 minutes we met Dr. Manoukian and he took the time to show me where all my areas of sensitivity/allergy were. Allergy shots were also set up after the second appt. I was worried about how it would go, because it is a long commitment ( several years total) but so far so good :D I have been going since October '22 or so. The wait time has always been non existent or at the most like 10 minutes and the staff is kind, which makes it easier to persevere about coming back each week. I have a lot of anxiety but they help ease it by chatting briefly, while doing what they need to do efficiently! The waiting room is on the smaller side but rarely at maximum. One final thing I appreciate: they are LGBTQIA+ friendly! I am non binary and have never been made to feel uncomfortable when wearing a pride item, dressing androgynously, having my pride colors noticeable on my epi pen bag, etc. Mom has been in with me a few times and never been treated awkwardly even when wearing her 'ally' cap which is not the case in a lot of places we have been. I am grateful to know that while coming here so very often for the next few years, I am able to be more authentically me. The only 2 drawbacks: parking is mostly in the structure and that can get costly, especially since the price changes after just 15 minutes. Also, there is no bathroom in the office, it is down the hall a bit and available to only one person at a time (which can be problematic for some). read more

My review mostly concerns misleading business practices, which are mentioned in other reviews. I went to this allergist in part because of their easy availability (e.g., there is an option to book online where it lists the doctor's available times). Every time I have tried to do this, as a new or returning patient, I have been called and told the appointment is not available and I could instead book an appointment several weeks or months later instead. It is very misleading to use an online booking portal with inaccurate information to make it look as though the doctor has much more availability than he actually does. I only ever saw a doctor on my initial intake as a new patient, and was not able to schedule an in-person follow-up visit with the doctor after that (only medical assistants/PAs). If you are looking for an allergist where you can actually receive care from a doctor, this is not the right place. It feels like they care more about getting new patients in the door than actually taking care of their patients. read more

I couldn't come to the appointment one time they terminated me us the patient because I missed one appointment and I was in special medication that I need every 2 weeks . They lying me they call so many time but I only got 1 call from theme and latter that they terminated me ya a pt . I call them to figure this situation but the staff is very rude to me and they don't do anything I trying to talk to manager she or he don't even call me for two weeks about this situation then I call again the front assistant told that manager is busy I won't talk to me and in this situation it's nothing to talk because they already terminated me and they don't care about this situation anymore. Husband had a shortness of breath & wheezing for a few months and doctors couldn't pin point his symptoms. Dr Manoukian did a numerous tests & found out what was the underlining problem. I went to Allergy Dox after seeing my ENT for a series of nasal/breathing issues I had. In addition to a surgery and medication and a few tests, it was suggested that I get allergen immunotherapy at Allergy Dox. It seemed like a very very long process of getting a whole lot of injections for a few years so I was a bit on the fence about it. But everything was explained to me very clearly. The doctor and staff were all very friendly and very helpful. And I'm pretty happy with my decision to go with the immunotherapy. Like I mentioned, every person I interactacted with at Allergy Dox was very friendly and helpful. Everything from scheduling, to visits for injections, to getting various prescriptions, to answering my numerous questions was all done very easily and quickly (something I can't say about most interactions for medical stuff I've had to deal with in the past ) Specifically, I'd like to acknowledge Jessica for answering my numerous email questions and clearly explaining everything to me, and Mary, who administered the majority of my cluster injections and answered a lot of my follow-up questions and concerns. I'm not a fan of needles, especially getting the dozens of injections in the first two months, but she made it as quick and painless as possible. read more

I've suffered from moderate to severe eczema for most of my life, but only in the past 3 years has it been unbearable and impossible to manage. I was referred to Dr. Manoukian and his team back in 2021 and I'm so glad for the referral because their care has been amazing. From figuring out my chemical allergies with thorough testing to the medicine journey that Dr. M has been walking through with me, I'm very satisfied with their care. All of the nursing staff are very nice and understanding. Dr. M has a boisterous energy, but is always clear and succinct in his explanations. We've been brining my son to Dr. Manoukian's office for a little over a year now. We were referred by an ENT, Dr Line before he retired when we though our son had adenoid issues. The change we've seen since we started bringing him to Dr. Manoukian's office, is nothing short of amazing. He had horrible allergies, blood allergy testing only showed so much and we didn't realize how severe and how many until we had him "scratch" tested. Our allergy testing for him was covered by our MPI Anthem PPO insurance. We have dual coverage, so we had no out of pocket cost and pre-authorization was not required for us from our insurance to have this done. We decided since our son has so many allergies to do the immunotherapy drops versus the weekly multiple shots. For us, the immunotherapy drops were more convenient and something that we could manage at home rather than taking time off work and school each week for years to do the shots. We have 3 sets vials of drops which were increased over the last year and now we've been at the 1/1 ratio for about 5 months now. My son's sniffing, coughing, throat clearing, sickness in general has greatly improved. We're one year in with a few more to go but the progress has been great for us. Immunotherapy drops were not covered by our insurance, so we did pay out of pocket. When we pay for the drops, we pay for the year and get a discount by not using a credit card. I believe the yearly option is the only option for the drops since they're mixed and given ahead of time for the whole year. We went from 2x a day Sudafed PE, Allegra, Claritin, albuterol inhalers, budesonide inhalers, countless nebulizer treatments, Flonase, and two other prescription nose sprays. We're down to one pill at night (rx levocetirizine) that we crush so he can take it, and the daily drops (3 drops under the tongue at different points of the day) ...THAT'S IT! We use the nebulizer as needed which is maybe once or twice every couple of months, and one spray and one inhaler as needed for flares (which is not often at all). Well worth it and we recommend it to anyone in the same situation. We've been able to do the majority of his appointments via telehealth and we've seen both PA-C Kayla and Emma. The time I needed an in-person appointment it was not more than a day to be seen. I have never once felt rushed by Dr Manoukian or by his PA-C's. His front desk is always helpful when I have had to call with anything, and the office is quick to respond when I've needed an answer back. The office also works with BinkRx, I found out today, so if your regular pharmacy wont' cover a medication they do have other alternatives that may. The office looks busy with chairs but all of those are there for the allergy shot patients also, who have to wait so long to make sure there's no reaction from their shots before leaving. Also, I saw another review recently that said they collect without billing insurance, this is incorrect, and we've never had this issue. Copays and coinsurance if applicable they may be required to take prior to billing. We don't have either of those and they've always billed the insurance for us without an issue. read more

Dr Manoukian is outstanding!!! He assisted us with our sons pulmonary testing. He went above and beyond even demonstrating proper technique when doing the spirometer testing! He is very patient and always open for input and discussion and does so with respect and understanding. He explains things in detail and with empathy. His office nurses and staff were also so helpful and patient during the test. Dr. Manoukian is one of the more caring and knowledgeable Drs we have. I saw doctor Manoukian earlier today, and I wouldn't say this unless I believed it 1000%- but he is one of the best doctors I've ever seen in the United States. I came in with him regarding multiple medical concerns (some of which he doesn't specialize in)- yet his approach was finding a solution. Called for an appointment and was told to fill the online form and upload insurance and other details, next day they called from the office and asked for credit card to keep on file and told me the first appointment will be a telephone appointment, I told them I am making an appointment for allergy issues and need to be tested for allergies for that why I need a telephone appointment I want to see the doctor in person. In COViD times a telephone appointment is ok but keeping that as a regular practice is unacceptable some doctors are still doing this to make more money. Greedy. read more

At my first appointment, Dr. Manoukian interrupted me as I was talking and informed me to just answer his questions. I had maybe been talking for 2 minutes, but he did not care. I was so taken back by how rude he was that I just answered his questions. I left that appointment feeling like he did not care at all about what I had to say. I wonder if he would have spoke to me that way if I was a man? There are too many great allergists in the area to settle for one that does not respect you. Also, his office policies of keeping credit cards on file and billing practices are very sketchy. If you are considering Aire Medical, read the fine print of everything you sign. read more

Dr Manoukian is a miracle worker. I've had severe allergies and eczema since I was a kid. Throughout the years it got worse and spread all of my body/face with inflammations almost every 2 weeks which would make my face swollen and end up in the ER. I went to Dr. Manoukian and he explained everything step by step, took all the tests needed, and guided me through everything. Within the first few weeks I saw a slight difference. With my allergy shots and dupixent shot my eczema cleared drastically. Today, not even a year later, all my allergies are controlled and my eczema is 95% gone. This has been the best experience! From my first teledoc apt to now receiving my allergy shot clusters smooth sailing! When I first started coming to Dr. Manukian and the team I was breaking out in full body hives that were itchy, bright red and would wake me up at all hours of the night. They immediately got me on 3 different medications that alleviated my symptoms and then got me in as soon as possible for a 3 week intense detailed allergy testing. We discovered I was basically allergic to a TON of environmental allergens. I've been coming here a little over a year now to get immunotherapy shots. Before coming here, my allergies were starting to get worse, and it got to the point where I didn't want to go see my friends with dogs. Which really sucked cause I love dogs. The routine shots are a big commitment to make but totally worth it. And it gets easier once it goes from weekly to monthly. All the things that used to give me red, itchy, puffed up eyes with sneezing don't really bother me anymore. The staff is friendly and informative. Appointments are easy to make. I've been going to Aire Medical Group for about a year now, and they've been fantastic to me! I started going so I could ask about reducing my allergies with Allergy Immunotherapy (getting regular shots to essentially trick your immune system to chill out haha) and after testing, they were happy to accommodate. They've been frank about the risks and have been incredibly kind and understanding every step of the way, and do 6month check ups to see how you've been improving. I was also lucky to have already been a patient here when I started having some light, but uncomfortable, skin reactions that I didn't understand how to reduce. Aire suggested a chemical allergy test, and I learned about some light allergies that I never knew I had until they were removed from my life! I just thought I was prone to skin bumps... turns out I'm mildly allergic to a common skin care thickener! Explains why my new reactions happened when I started a new facial wash, whoops. TL;DR - these are nice people, who are good at their jobs. Bonus- I'm fairly certain they work in couple other languages too, though I'm afraid I don't know which. read more

Absolutely appalled about the office staff and their treatment of patients. After waiting for over a month for her appointment my mother was turned away at the office because, according to the front staff, her English was not to their level. She is able to see all the other doctors that she needs, including one just last week, without any special help or need for a translator and explain all her issues. Yet, to get through this group this was not enough. The Dr. did NOT even take his time to try and communicate with her to see that she can in fact answer the questions regarding her health history and why she's there. Instead they just turned her away for another appointment in a month, to which she objected. Absolute disgrace and disrespect for their patients. read more

Allergy shots have been very helpful for lowering my reaction to allergens. I definitely notice a different and my ENT also notices the change.
