Everyone there--clerical, dentist, hygienists, the lot of them--really took good care of me. I didn't feel like I was being judged or placated or ripped off or mistreated in any way. They were quick, considerate, and though there's no making a dental procedure pleasant, they did a damn fine job of making sure I will give up my ways of avoiding the dentist and neglecting my health. Found it right at bed time, funny how that's when kids like to tell you about things! We called here around 9pm and we were seen at 9:45pm. Consultation/drainage/tooth extraction for a total of $700, and $30 for the medication from the pharmacy. Considering how a tooth abscess can be a life threatening condition, I was blown away. I've taken my kids to emergency rooms before only to leave with nothing more than the same problem I entered with and a $1,000+ bill. We had been saving up for the past few months, we had hoped for a family vacation at the end of the summer (we've never had one since our kids were born) and unfortunately we had to rob Peter to pay Paul. However, the staff was great and made sure my kid felt safe and comfortable to ease her nerves.

I told them to cancel it because they refused to do the service that i went to them for in the first place and were pushy to do additional services that insurance would not cover. They apologized, said they got rid of the providers that did that and asked that i give them a second chance. I did, got my teeth cleaned with no problems. Today, my husband went in to get his teeth cleaned and they "RECOMMENDED" a deep cleaning and when refused they said they could not do a general cleaning that is covered by insurance. RODEO DENTAL REFUSES SERVICES THAT ARE COVERED 100% BY INSURANCE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT MAKE MONEY OFF IT. BUT THEY WILL FILE CLAIM WITH INSURANCE LIKE THEY DID SOMETHING. They waited 8 minutes before someone came to check them in. I overheard the receptionist telling a patient that they appointment was at 2:05pm and next time the doctor have a 15 min grace period or they will have to reschedule. I stepped up to make sure my child was checked in because by this time it was past her appointment. No one addressed me until 2:52pm. I got a "Yes she checked in." Shortly after they called the late patient back. Bottom line I'm mortified I started this payment plan with these people. Go somewhere else for braces. These folks don't value your time. The receptionist heard me talking about it and decided to laugh about it with another employee. They don't treat you like family. It's all about the money. I knew it was weird that they only put her top row on in October. They didn't want to give me a chance to sleep on it. I was under the impression this was going to be easy by the intail consultation. When my fixed retainers broke (the glue came off), they were able to get me in and fix it right away. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Her staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and Dr. Hernandez's bed side manner is par none. I highly recommend going to Dr. H for all your braces needs - they do it all (traditional, invisalign, etc.)!
