Bone Dry Roofing - Bad Decking Repair in Indianapolis, Indiana!

    Bone Dry Roofing

We're an hour away, and I had been trying to get local chimney sweeps and masons to come deal with our house for years. I'd get an estimate, and then no one would follow up. Bone Dry showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would do, were respectful to my house, property, and people, and cleaned up after they left. We had three different crews come through to address each phase of the work, and everyone was professional, friendly, and communicative. There were a couple of small bumps, but they handled them professionally and quickly. I was, all in all, very pleased with their performance. I'm a building professional myself, and very much appreciate what they do. They're good people, and did a very good job for me. Pricing was reasonable '(this stuff is expensive - brace yourself, but these guys don't overcharge) I'd hire them again without a second thought.

Followed up a few years later by issues where moisture was entering our house through an access point and causing damage to our ceiling. They took partial blame for the situation and repaired things with partial charges. Most recently after a storm, they checked my roof and determined it was OK, but a rake board had come loose and the sales rep showed me a video verifying the need for repair. I consented. When they came to do the repair, it wound up being a simple 'nail back in place job', which was not what all I thought it would necessarily be. Combined with a single loose piece of siding that was also nailed back into place, I was charged $665 for a 10-15 minute job that required basically no materials. When I shared my concern that I felt the charge was excessive for the work performed, I was basically dismissed and charged the full amount. I realize I signed the contract, I simply didn't think the job warranted the full charge. I appreciate they got on a ladder and did work I wasn't comfortable or knowledgable enough to do, and felt a slightly lesser charge seemed to make sense for what they did. Guess I will look elsewhere for future jobs after the lack of understanding to work with me.

We hired Two Men and a Gutter to install a wider gutter over our garage. Within a couple months,…read morethe gutter began pulling away from the house, bowing outward, leaking, and overflowing. The installation ultimately left us with a worse problem than the one we originally hired them to solve. What has been far more frustrating than the failed work, however, have been the hostile interactions and complete lack of follow through from Two Men and a Gutter. Over the past year, we have spent countless hours attempting to get this issue resolved. We have made repeated phone calls, left numerous messages, exchanged text messages, and communicated directly with company representatives. Multiple times, the company acknowledged the issue, agreed that the work was covered under warranty, confirmed our account and address, and promised to send someone out to make repairs. No one has ever shown up to even look at the damage, let alone repair it. Each time we followed up, we were given another explanation, another promise, or another timeline. Most recently, we were told someone would come out once the rain had passed. The rain passed. Nobody came. Follow-up messages have gone unanswered. That was in May 2026. To make matters worse, both my husband and I have experienced extremely hostile and aggressive communication from company representatives during our attempts to resolve this issue. What should have been a straightforward warranty repair led to them screaming at me on the phone about our review of their work costing them business. At this point, we have lost confidence that Two Men and a Gutter intends to honor its warranty or stand behind its work. We honestly don't feel safe having by them back at our house either. We will now have to hire and pay another company to correct their poor quality work. Mistakes happen. What matters is how a company responds when something goes wrong. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company to anyone and would urge you to look elsewhere.

No materials arrived, no work began, and communication with the company eventually stopped. I did not receive my money back. I later learned through public records that there are multiple civil judgments and legal disputes connected to the operators of this business. Please take the time to research the individuals and the business thoroughly before hiring.

I paid the company over $17,000 upfront with the expectation that work would begin shortly after. Unfortunately, after the payment was made: No materials were delivered, No work was started, And communication from the company eventually stopped. I did not receive a refund. Because of the significant financial loss, I looked further into the individuals and the business. In publicly available court records, I found multiple civil judgments, pending legal matters, and business-related disputes involving the operators and the company. Based on my direct experience, combined with what I discovered in public records, I personally would not feel comfortable hiring this company again. My goal in sharing this review is simply to help others make informed decisions and to encourage anyone considering this contractor to do a full background check first.
