I do NOT recommend using this driving school. We paid in full upfront only for them to completely ignore us when I needed to schedule my son's driving test. They ignored every text and voicemail I left for 2 weeks. Now my son's appt with the DPS that we waited 2 months for has to be rescheduled! The next appt is nearly 3 months out, so now my son will not get his license for another 3 months! One of their drivers has the kids stop for his personal errands, and gives zero instructions to the students! They do have one really good driving instructor, but requesting him is a flip of the coin. After ignoring my request for two weeks, they responded with their instructor retired with no notice. We are on our own! Had they told me immediately maybe I could have made alternative plans, but instead they ignored me for 2 weeks! They did not even apologize as you can see from the screens shots I provided. They were so very nice until they had my money! I thought for sure the negative reviews were just old... they are not! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and leaving this review on every review site I can find to warn other parents. ALLIANCE DRIVING SCHOOL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR KIDS, ONLY ABOUT YOUR MONEY! Alliance driving school helped me achieve a long term goal. I've been planning to learn how to drive for years but had a fear of driving. The Team helped me accommodate my schedule and even picked me up every day of driving lessons. Mr. Ron was very patient and calm while teaching. In just 6 hours I was able to learn the main skills and was able to pass the driving test from the 1st attempt. Seeing so many negative reviews, I gotta say it was exact opposite for me. The ladies were very helpful and supportive. They made sure I understood what would happen and were very clear on the prices. I was charged a decent price. Reasonable one at that. And it was worth every cent. My instructor was a kind lady named Mrs. Sharon. She made every detail clear and even gave me tips on what to do even before we began. She explained it all clearly and made sure I understood. If I messed up, she would patiently explain where and how and even give me pointers on how to not repeat the error. Now, I have anxiety. Bad. I tend to get nervous easily. Mrs. Sharon , Mrs. Denise, and Mrs. Judy all made sure I was comfortable and more. It was because of them I could pass on the first try. They gave me the confidence needed and made sure I felt at ease. Overall, I have to say it was the best experience ever. And I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to learn to drive. They are kind, understanding, and most of all, VERY thorough. Best place to learn. And I do not say this lightly. read more

I was a little hesitant to come to this driving school because of the horrid reviews but I gave it a chance given the location and I am so glad that I did! My daughter is on her second week and thriving in this driving school! Judy is amazing! She enthusiastically goes above and beyond with her knowledge and willingness to help you understand everything that you will have to do in order to take your child to get licensed. Seriously pay the money and make your life easier by bringing your child here! It's pretty much a one stop shop, other than getting the permit and license! I am a student at Alliance driving school. Ive been going here for 4 YEARS. The reason I have not completed everything and gotten my license is due to the unpredictable business hours, lack of call backs, and random, excessive fees. I would not recommend sending your children here. All friends I have that have gone here agree with me and lots of them are also still trying to get their licenses as well. The initial payments are so high too that we can't afford to go to a different school. When I tried, they wouldn't send me the paperwork showing I finished the in class portion, so I was forced to finish out my schooling at Alliance. I finished all the schooling, driving and class, at 17. Tried to take a test, when I got there at my scheduled time the doors were locked. I waited 30 minutes, and they were still locked. Then they charged me 25$ saying I didn't show up. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!!! read more

First off, yikes! I'm glad I didn't read the reviews here before I enrolled my son otherwise I wouldn't have been able to experience first hand how amazing both Judy and team have been through our 6 month process. Proud to say my son got his license today and I attribute all of that to Alliance, granted my son did his classroom instruction online and only enrolled to do the behind-the-wheel portion with Alliance. I don't know what these other reviewers are saying but they have always been super nice and professional with us. Judy has been in this business for yearrrrssss and she knows her shit. I always had a million questions and she was always patient with me and answered all of them. I am so beyond thankful for her guiding us through this process. Texas is tough!! There are so many requirements!! Doing parent taught behind-the-wheel instruction may save you money but you will have more headaches in the end because you're just left to figure everything else out on your own. But Alliance was there every step of the way!! Oh not to mention it was super easy to schedule each driving session. They're spaced out for a reason. But she will explain to you why they're spaced out the way they are. My son always made it to his driving sessions so we never had to reschedule or cancel. We were never charged extra fees, NEVER EVER. They also have someone that comes to Alliance to do the driving test portion for $75 (I think it was) which we did. So all my son had fo do today was go submit his documents and take his picture/vision test at the DMV. We thought this day would never come but it did with a blink of an eye! And again I cannot express enough how appreciative and SUPER GRATEFUL I am for Alliance!! read more

This is the very worst place to take your kids to get a driving license. We had a horrible experience for the past 2 years of dealing with this school. Very unprofessional. Very unorganized. And the ladies there have a very terrible attitude problem. Do not go here. I am very unhappy with this place. They have lied and tried to charge us for something that didn't happen. read more

If I could rate this school a negative zero, I would. Horrible!! They charge you for tests results for the learners permit. My daughter received only 15 mins of highway drive time on her LAST drive day. All drive time was scheduled for 6:30 in the evening with the exception of one class only because I bugged them about it. The driving instructor never have my daughter feedback while driving other than she was doing good. On her last class, that instructor did and asked her if her other instructor had and of course the answer was "no". The drive times were scheduled months and sometimes several weeks apart. Needless to say she failed her first test for her license and when I called to see if she could get addtl drive time I received no call back after calling several more times, I was told it would be an addtl $150 fee on top if the $500 already paid. They even charge if you need to reschedule classroom time $25. My daughter had to miss due to track meet, $25 additional dollars. These people should be put out of business all they care about are their fees not that they are producing quality teen drivers. I wish I had had some feedback on this company before I sent my daughter. Horrible customer service.. Even HORRIBLE is an understatement! read more

Wow, Also if I could give a -0 I would. I paid a great deal of money for my daughters driving school and she completed it. We are active duty military members and received orders to move before she could do the drive time (she completed all the classroom time). I have called numerous of times trying to get her completion certification so she would not have to go to another school costing hundreds. The lady that always answers the phone, and never follows through with sending us the papers. So while my husband is deployed to Afghanistan, I am jumping through hoops trying to get the certificate of completion sent to me. I sincerley think that 1 star is too high of a score for this poorly run business. The owner "Nicole" is the rudest person my wife and I have ever met. She has repeatedly openly yelled at us and tried to get us to forfeit the money we paid there and go somewhere else to have our daughter do her driving school. I really can't believe they are open and doing business this way. Maybe she has had an abusive past which has led her to believe it is ok to verbally abuse my daughter and wife...I don't know but now I'm faced with the difficult decision of just quitting the school that we paid for in full and going somewhere else and having to pay all over again. Please, please, please do not spend your money here. My expereince with Alliance Driving School was positive. All three of my sons trained at Alliance and confidently passed their driving tests the first time. I've read some of the negative reviews in this forum and all I can say is that my experience was different. I was never charged additional fees for anything, but I will say that fees for changing appointment/drive times, etc. are clearly stated in the paperwork you're given. I imagine that it is up to the discretion of the school to waive fees, but if someone is charged a fee, it shouldn't come as a surprise. Like I said, I had three sons go through training at Alliance and any charges I paid were all very upfront. In fact, they went out of their way to accommodate schedules and to communicate with me on what to expect. The ladies at the front office, Denise and Judy, are very caring individuals who have dozens of families coming through their offices during business hours and still manage to give warm eye contact and smiles. People will wait for hours at an APPLE store only to find that they'll need to schedule an appointment or be charged a fee for something they weren't anticipating and will deal with it because they want the result - a working i-phone or macbook upgrade. But show up to a driving school with no visible police officer, and expect special treatment because sweet ladies are supposed to accomodate your entitlement and inablity to follow the rules or read paperwork corectly ... hmm ... They've been in business for 13 years and I would imagine that due to the nature of their businsess and how it's regulated, that if there was anything shady from a financial/records standpoint, they would have been shut down a long time ago. 3 of my kiddos have come here. They have always been polite and professional in a neighborly kind of way. Very down home atmosphere. The prices are the same as most places do if your looking for cheap drivers ed well no such thing. My kids have always appreciated this place so I've always brought the next one back. Parking is cramped but once you know how it all works you just drive up, drop off and leave. I would say customer service is what sets this place apart from the others. read more

WARNING! Do not use Alliance Driving School. First, I've read the other reviews as far as the fees and they are correct. You will get charged well over anything they quote you. *** I'm saving the biggest issue for the end of this review. You can skip to the *** to read it. Location: Terrible location for first time drivers. It's in a beat up old shack of a strip mall on a very busy road. Which makes pulling out hard for even the best of drivers. Not to mention, at night it doesn't feel like the safest area. Instructors: this will be the only good part of this entire review. There is a guy named Mr. Ron who is incredible, caring, and all around a nice guy. I hope he goes and works for someplace that appreciates him. Fees: as I stated before, swap classes get charged $50 bucks for a paperwork fee. I'll get into that mess later. Miss a class, pay another $10 to go to an early 8:30 am make-up class. Interesting enough. The school cancels a class and they don't reimburse you (and I know this because they cancelled one for an instructors vacation). But if you have to miss a class... they charge you. And yes they charge you for test results. *** Here's the underlying issue with this whole place THE OFFICE STAFF is atrocious. They have no idea what the heck they are doing. There are folders with hundreds of post it notes sticking out of them. Misfiled paperwork, mounds of documents all over the desk and a filing system that looks like a 3rd grader came up with it. Don't get me started on Denise, who you will most likely have the displeasure of dealing with. In a word "Bird Brain" seems most fitting. First if you call and get a live person, it's like winning the lottery. You will most likely have to leave a message and she'll call you back (without listening to your message) "Hi this is Denise from Alliance Driving School, I had a missed call from this number." So what's the point of leaving a message??? One day she left a message on my cell phone at 5:51 PM and said she could get my daughter in to drive the next day and her driving time lessons would be "all done that day." So I called back 4 minutes later (it's on my phone bill) left her a message that we would accept that offer and figured it was okay. So the next day as we're driving 40 minutes to get there. Denise calls and what does she say; yep "Hi this is Denise... I had a missed call from this number" Same canned message. After she realized who it was. She goes on and tells me that it's no longer available cause she didn't hear back from me. Not to mention she tells me that my daughter still had 3 classes and that I was mistaken about her being all done. (After the fact I called back and played her message telling me my daughter would be "all done." To prove she said that.) during this time, she argued that she never got a message that I left her. Well no..... Cause she's too rattled to probably know how to check her phone messages. Hey Denise. Since you so condescendingly want to spout off how old you are and know it all, why don't you learn the first rule of a good business "the customer is always right!" You don't speak the whole time and not let the customer talk. After I got off the phone even my daughter who was in the car said "Oh my gosh I could hear her the whole time, she wouldn't shut up" PARENTS.... You know how you have a teenager that spends more time talking than listening to what you say. Or they are sitting there thinking about what they will say next without listening to you. Well here ya go. Denise is the most scattered brained, opinionated person your about to come across. Yeah she tries to be all sweet and a southern bell like when you first meet her. Just have an issue and get ready for the most frustrating person you're gonna deal with. Finally, Alliance will probably reply with some remark about me being upset and as a pastor I shouldn't be upset. Well Denise, believe me. As a pastor I'm really holding back what I want to say about how bad this place is. I'm extremely frustrated and don't want anyone to deal with what I went though. If I had to do it over again. Don't trust the information you are given over the phone or even in person. They have this payment plan and if you don't read the very small letter in your contract they add a $40 late fee....very misleading. Very dissapointed that I was given the wrong information and they refused to help me in any way!!!!All they said was why should I loose money its stated in the contarct we gave you!!! My son went to the classes and all of the drive times. He got to choose what time he would drive from a couple of different options. He passed his test the first time, and we had him drive straight on to school from there. Very convenient and good instructors. read more
