I came to learn about The Driving Institute, earlier in the year in January - I had a relatively bad experience with another Driving School, after 10hrs of road experience with that school... I was left with no confidence in any of my skills and I barely got any feedback. I booked myself in originally for 2hrs behind the wheel private lessons (which after I passed my driving test - I added in a further 2hrs later in the year to gain some confidence with Interstate and Highway driving), and I must say from the moment I contacted Miranda at The Driving Institute, I was greeted with nothing but friendliness and professionalism. I had my lessons with Mr Rossi [The 2hrs were split into 1hr sessions] and I have to say just after 2hrs, my confidence rose to further than what it was after 10hrs with my previous instructor. He fixed any issues I had within seconds with such simple techniques. He's a great teacher and he knows his stuff! It was well worth my drive from Richardson just for the lessons - I couldn't recommend anyone better to get you ready for these fast and furious Texas roads.

My siblings and I hired Pearl Rose Academy to evaluate my 91yo mother's driving. We had our concerns. Brandon understood and took mom on as a client. They spent 5 hours together and we ended up being reassured that all is safe for our mom, for now. Brandon called me after each lesson and gave me details about mom's skill set. Mom agreed for us to do this and she ended up loving Brandon. We will call Pearl Rose in a year or two or if we see a decline in mom's ability to be safe for herself and others on the road.As you can predict, taking away a parent's right to drive is a hard responsibility. We want mom to have the objective, professional input from Brandon so she can make her own decision when the time comes. They would not give it to me. They gave me some long explanation about an alcohol and tobacco program that is automatically added to the Trophy club program so they couldn't give me the discount. Too early and too tired to argue while I was there. I do know they offered to charge an extra $15 for an alcohol certificate so I'm confused. Called them back after I arrived home and they gave me a similar explanation. The web site doesn't indicate anything about any alcohol and tobacco program providing the discount. It only indicates that the discount is activated by paying cash or check. I think they are either confused or they did not print it correctly on their web site. Either way it's not cool to mislead the public. I hope they get it corrected on their web site soon. A few hours later: .... They emailed me back and apologized. Turns out there is a different agreement with Byron Nelson High School so the $15 cash discount can't apply. Kudos to them because they made it up to me in another way since they graciously mentioned the confusion existed. I like companies that make it up to you. I would recommend them to anyone.
