I want to share my experience with Alliance Home Inspections because I relied on their one year warranty inspection to catch a serious problem and was badly let down. I scheduled them to inspect my new home before the one year builder warranty expired and specifically told the inspectors that the builder had already been out four times trying to fix issues with the bathroom fan ventilation, and that I still suspected there was a problem. Despite that clear concern, their written report states that the bathroom fans were "hard piped to the exterior" and that "no major issues" were noted with the venting systems. After the inspection, I discovered that the ductwork and ventilation had in fact been installed improperly, which led to moisture damage and required nearly 4,000 dollars in repairs, including replacement and insulation of the bathroom fan piping, moving vents, and repairing moisture damaged ceiling areas. The repair invoice details extensive work: replacing piping for two bathroom fans, insulating the pipes, moving vents, and replacing the damaged ceiling in the main bedroom, along with new fan boxes and associated materials. These are not minor, hidden defects that suddenly appeared months later; they are exactly the type of problems I hired an inspector to identify while the builder's warranty was still in effect. When I raised this with Alliance, the response was essentially that their inspectors only check that the fans turn on and appear to vent outside, that they did not see anything visually wrong at the time, and that issues can arise months later due to condensation, poor builder craftsmanship, or other factors. They emphasized time limitations (about a two hour visit) and suggested the problem was more with the builder than with their inspection. I understand that a home inspection is limited and non invasive, and I do not expect inspectors to predict every future issue. But in my case, I explicitly flagged an ongoing, recurring problem with the bathroom ventilation, and the report still gave the venting systems a clean bill of health with no qualifications or recommendations for further evaluation before my warranty expired. Given the scope and cost of the repairs that were ultimately needed, I do not feel that Alliance provided the level of diligence and professional care I reasonably expected when I hired them for a critical one year warranty inspection. Because of this experience, I cannot recommend Alliance Home Inspections. If you are depending on an inspection to protect you before a builder's warranty runs out, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere or, at minimum, getting an additional specialized evaluation for any system you already suspect may have problems. read more

I initially provided a 5 star review for inspector Ronnie. I have come back to edit my review to 1 star as Ronnie's inspection was poor and owner Troy's response to my complaint has been unproductive. I used Alliance and Ronnie to inspect the home I purchased in July 2025. Ronnie's comments on the report state that the roof needed some attention and in person he stated that the roof had areas of moss growing that could be removed with products. Four months into owning the home, the roof on the porch addition began to leak. I have had five roofer companies out for estimates and all five say the roof is beyond due for replacement. All companies were shocked that this was not noted in my inspection, with one roofer saying whoever did my inspection should lose their license. In reaching out to Alliance and my realtor, who recommended Alliance, I was met with minimal assistance. They of course are keeping the inspection fee I paid ($400), despite neglectful, misleading inspection performance, which is a fraction of the $12,000 I have to pay for a new roof after purchasing the home a few months ago, which has caused significant financial strain and distress. Had I known the roof needed to be replaced immediately I would not have purchased this home. I guess I learned my lesson. Don't go with a realtor's inspector recommendation. I surely won't be using Alliance again and will spread my experience to anyone in search of a home inspection company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We hired them to do an inspection thinking they were working on our behalf. The two main concerns when you buy a home are the roof and the foundation. The inspector missed both, along with other smaller items like the gutters and a spongy section of flooring in the living room that I almost fell through. We found multiple water leaks in the home and called our homeowners insurance. They sent out an independent inspector and two roofers, all saying that the roof never should have passed an inspection. There were obvious problems that were visible on the roof that the inspector missed. We also found foundation issues due to the roof leaking. We had to completely replace the roof, as it was beyond repair and have had to fix many foundation problems. We have spent an extra $20,000 to fix these problems, and that doesn't include the sheetrock, ceiling and flooring issues caused by the roof leaking. We contacted Troy multiple times, pointing out that he claims to be an honest businessman, but he refused to even consider helping us, even though our roof issues fell well within the 5 year warranty period. We paid $11,000 for a new roof. We got $1,500 from his warranty company and he told us we should be grateful that we got that. I would NEVER recommend this company and I will obviously NEVER use them again. read more

Requested home inspection of a property with a lot of systems. Troy spent the entire day doing the inspection. He went the extra mile when one of the septic tanks was discovered to be filled to capacity. He returned a few days later to reinspect after it had been pumped out...free of charge. Troy was detailed, methodical, and took the time to answer questions. I would hire Alliance again for future inspections! read more

On March 29th I went under contract to purchase 439 Garland Road Corinth. I hired Alliance home inspections to inspect the complete property including the engineer report required for a FHA loan for $1100 dollars . The inspection report showed no deficiencies. The report was inaccurate and incomplete. Alliance stated that it was a double wide not a single wide. As a result of their lack of follow through they had to return to the property 4x for things they missed. After the second visit we were told that it needed ties downs as it was discovered that they had none. This should have been caught in the initial inspection. I then paid an additional $1800 for ties downs in order to have the loan approved.. On Alliances 4th visit for additional pictures it was determined that it was indeed a single wide with an unsupported addition. In the end it was determined that it was the addition was pulling down the entire structure. It required proper support and a new roof. This was a huge miss by this inspection company. They did a poor job. I was out almost $3000 and had to terminate the contract to purchase this house. read more

Alliance inspected a house for us and missed some major flaws that should have been obvious to trained professionals, such as a roof that was poorly patched, well past it's prime and leaked during the first major storm. Since they did not flag the roof in their report, we did not have a chance to negotiate with the seller and the entire cost of a new roof was on us. If you use this company for a home inspection make sure they actually go up on the roof and have a careful look. There were other missed items that ended up costing us substantially. I would not use them and suggest you go elsewhere for house inspections or do it yourself. Very disappointing service and no recourse to make good. Go elsewhere. read more

1 star is more than they deserve. Missed multiple code violations, missed visible mold, missed too many small things to mention. Finally contacted the inspector and he was full of excuses. Said he would talk to his boss. Never heard from them again. Carefully read the contract, it basically states they are responsible for nothing. If I could give them no stars I would, we were out of state buyers and trusted the process and inspectors to do their job. We moved in and immediately had repairs that needed to be done for safety reasons. The linoleum by the front door was peeling up, underneath we found black mold and severe water damage on the subfloor. Within a a month we had to replace parts on the furnace due to a fire hazard, the garage is leaking somewhere, we are looking at thousands of dollars to replace the deck and the supports as the wood is rotted and soft (it's been that way since we moved in). The list goes on and on and on....All of these things are not only safety hazards but should have been caught on the almost $700 inspection that we paid for. read more

This business was recommended by our real estate agent and that should have been the first clue that it was a mistake. Troy Francis came to our home and did a " inspection" but missed many issues, including mold from a leaking pipe,a leak in roof and multiple code violations. none of these issues were conveyed to us in our inspection report. we only found them once moving in (the first few days we noticed these issues). worst of all is the costumer service we received when we tried to communicate with him. no call backs then when we did receive a call he said there is nothing he could do and the problems were not there when he did the inspection. read more

I strongly dislike that it has come to leaving a negative review, but here we go as apparently they are responding to reviews but not their emails. We purchased a house last November as first time home owners and contacted Alliance. They were initially very responsive and pleasant to deal with. The inspector came on time, spent several hours on the property, and then we received a nice detailed report within a week. The house we purchased has a chimney. The inspection overall said the chimney was good, the only concern was a damper not working freely and cleaning out the chimney cleanout. They recommended getting a formal chimney cleaning as their ability to inspect the interior chimney is limited. November is a busy time to try and find a chimney sweep. We called several and only one called us back, but couldn't get out until May. Where the initial inspection didn't show any major red flags, we didn't push the issue and decided to wait until May. Unfortunately, the chimney inspection didn't go well. We were told that there was severe water damage due to various factors (hence the RUSTY cleanout, not dirty), the furnace pipe leading to the chimney was not regulation size, the flashing of the roof wasn't installed properly, and the list goes on and on. We were told the sale never should have gone through without a formal chimney inspection and there are significant red flags that should have been caught from the ground. Overall it's going to cost us over 7k to do just the initial repairs alone, which is tough to swallow as it's already tough as buyers in this market as is. We have never lived in a house with a chimney so I am not sure what is normal, but I can tell you that the photo showing the "dirty" cleanout was clearly not dirt, but I took the inspector's word that this was normal. I reached out to Alliance to discuss the issue. We are outside of the 90 day warranty because it took so long to find a chimney sweep to come. My first email was June 1st, got no response, then sent another one to an email I found on their website on June 5th. I got a response back June 14th essentially with a canned "we always recommend that you get a chimney sweep as our ability to inspect chimneys is limited" response. We are not holding Alliance accountable for the things they truly could not see, like pieces of the chimney liner falling into our furnace. We would like for them to be accountable for the things they took photos of and clearly didn't know what they were looking at. We would have been grateful for "hey, I am not sure what's going on, but this doesn't look normal so try to get a guy in here ASAP." They offered to refund a PORTION of our inspection fee but they had to contact the manager (June 15th). After no response July 7th, I sent another email back, and it's been crickets. It's now been over a month since they last communicated with us. So as a word of caution to others reading these reviews, if the house has a chimney, do not rely on their inspection of it, but please set up your own inspection with an external chimney sweep, and push to get it done within the 90 day warranty as the company is not going to stand behind its work. read more

The report was professional in appearance but I was not pleased with the level of detail - it was cursory at best and with roughly 50 significant technical problems with the home, nearly all were missed. read more

Egregious overlooks and no accountability. Trust me, they will not do a thorough job from my experience. Very clear and obvious overlooks even to the untrained eye. Just blatant lack of doing a thorough job. Thousands and thousands out of my pocket that could have been negotiated in my offer and closing. They simply didn't do their job to the fullest. Alliance Home Inspections recently completed a home inspection for a pending purchase. This is our first home buying experience. Alliance was very helpful in reassuring us on our home buying decision. They were prompt, personable, thorough, detailed, and were available for follow up questions. Troy and his colleagues took the time to talk to us on several occasions to discuss what our options were for the different type of inspections that their services cover, and what services would be relevant for the home that we are purchasing. I had noticed several items during our first viewing of the home that I wanted them to look at, and Troy made sure to follow up on those items. After we got the report, Troy was available to go over some of the findings and to discuss the overall report and his thoughts on the current condition of the house.
