My refrigerator was not working properly, so I set up an appointment. The deal was 119 for the…read moreservice call. If a repair was made , I would just pay for the repair and the service visit charge would disappear. The technician came, said it was worth fixing , and ordered parts. Took two weeks. He came back, installed the parts and said it was fixed and left. It still didn't work, with the same problem. I called and it took another week to send the same tech back who then said it was not fixable. He said I would get my money back minus the 119 service call fee. Fair enough. Ten minutes later after doing paperwork in his truck, he came back and said I would get a lesser amount because of the charge for parts. I said the parts were no good to me and didn't fix the refrigerator. I said take the parts and he said he didn't have time to take them out. He seemed to care less. I called and explained the situation to a woman in the "repair care" department. After hearing the story, she said she would recommend that the charge for parts not be deducted. However, they deducted the money anyway. So I was without that refrigerator for at least three weeks. The tech didn't fix it, choose whatever parts to put in that didn't work, wouldn't take them back, and made me pay for the parts. I'm not complaining about the ineptitude of the tech in saying it could be fixed, or the weeks without a refrigerator. I'm complaining about being charged for worthless parts installed by the tech. If they treated me like that, then they will treat everyone like that.
