I was sold on the reputation but also on the promise of significant cost savings for bundling both home and auto coverage. My first marked disappointment with the Glasgow agency came when the downtown location was closed, and I was forced thereafter to conduct my business with them by driving into the hornet's nest of overcrowded office condos in the vapid wilderness of Westgate. I hate that hellish haven and the extra effort of getting into and out of it. But I was even more disappointed to watch my homeowners insurance double in a short period of time, with all savings from "bundling" disappearing in a puff a smoke, without ever submitting any claim whatsoever. From time to time, I might be contacted with offers for savings or different coverage that, once I tried to sign on for them, would mysteriously evaporate or no longer be something I qualified for. Recently, I was informed that my homeowners insurance is being eliminated altogether. Yes: it means I will now take all of my business to an agent who's willing to provide service to me, who's going to go to bat for me, who's going to show that he will do whatever it takes to be certain that I am covered, that my business is valued, and that he is actually and truly "on my side." The name on your coverage might be the "Jim Glasgow Agency," but you'll never see him and you'll find that you cannot depend on him to provide and maintain the service that would deserve your patronage.

I was also looking to change my insurer after a previous bad experience. Not only did I switch over to Nationwide for my home and car with Carolyn, but she took the time to show me the details of how insurance operate and rates are calculated. More than anything, Carolyn seemed focused on helping each customer as an individual instead of just another customer or number. Unfortunately, this means that it can be a bit difficult to get some one on one time with her. Luckily, I remembered a lot of her advice and it REALLY saved me much later when I had a seemingly minor car accident, but suffered a back injury which has laid me up, unable to work. I had temporarily raised the Medical Payments limit on my car insurance previously, based on Carolyn's advice from years before, and I am so glad that I forgot to lower it as it helped relieve almost ALL of the financial burden arising from my accident. My 1 week hospital stay was over $22k alone and I am now waiting to have surgery! Thank you Carolyn Berry!

I have been with State Farm since I can remember, mainly because my dad had them as car insurance…read moreand liked them so much. I didn't know a whole lot about them until I graduated from college in 2010 and was introduced to the big boy world where I had to start paying my own car insurance which was never fun. That's where I met Mr Ron Connor. I like Mr Connor, he is straight to the point and s really easy going guy. He is also really easy to talk to, and just by getting to know him I could tell him and my dad had been talking about me venturing out on my own with my car insurance for awhile. He will answer any questions you have in a clear and concise manner, which I am fond of. I have had a few situations where State Farm has been pretty good to me: 1) I wrecked my car back at the end of 2014 and totaled it and Mr Connor along with State Farm helped file my claim and get me back on the road as soon as they could. Their medical department even sent me a check to help cover the expenses for me being treated at the hospital which was almost $3,000 plus ambulance fees which was another $500 on top of that!? They saved my butt and really helped me out from coming out of pocket in that case! 2) The second situation they helped me out of was when my dad backed into my car in Nov 2015 and smashed into my bumper. I was so mad I didn't know what to do. He had to file a claim and State Farm took care of me again! They have those Select Service Repairs Program where they work with certain shops in your area who are well known for quality of work. I chose a place in Winston-Salem called Pat's Body Repair (Lewisville I think, sorry) and they worked directly with State Farm and handled my matter perfectly! I only had to pay like $250 and they took care of the rest! They even got me a rental car for the week so I could get to work and when I held on it to it two days later than what t should have been turned it, their customer service representative picked up the bill for those two days because at the time I worked 12 hour shifts and couldn't get off to pick up my car! She was unbelievably nice, and knew exactly where I was coming from! All in all I would definitely recommend State Farm to anyone looking for high quality car insurance, I cannot speak for the rest of their insurance cause I only have them through car but if their car insurance is ANY indication of the rest then you will be in OUTSTANDING hands! Mr Connor also has some representatives that help him, specifically Mrs Nancy Duvall who is really sweet as she always calls me to remind me to pay my car insurance before the cancellation deadline! ***If there was one "blemish" I would say it's another representative there. Not sure if she is knew or not, but I don't really care for smart comments. Her name is April Oakley. She emailed me once telling her to call her back, which I did and made a remark about me needing to clean my voicemail out cause she couldn't leave a message. Lady, first off you don't get paid to tell me that, and second off, you could have emailed me the reminder instead of just saying to call you as soon as possible. Then on my birthday, she called and said, "I am not here to harass you about your car insurance, just wanted to wish you a happy birthday." I would have fathered she not call AT ALL. I don't like her tone of voice or rudeness. She would be better if not calling me again! *** However I still give this place 4 stars for their quality of service, and the way they have treated me in the past. I will say they are pricier than other car insurance places, then again I also have some speeding tickets from my "riding' dirty" days so that's a factor too. But even though they are more expensive, you get what you pay for, and I have seen it first hand with them. Thanks again for your help Mr Connor. You have been really good to me for going on 8 years I believe!

I was completely alone dealing with my claim with no support from Lori or her team. They also sent in a storm team to talk me out of submitting a claim all together. Would not recommend.
