Overall this process was shorter than I expected - it took about 2 months from the day I first spoke with Ingrid to when we signed the documents and a lot of the delay was on my end! Ingrid was the paralegal assigned to work on my estate plan and she was very lovely to work with. She spoke with me on the phone a few times to walk me through the basics and explain the answers to my questions. She was very responsive over email as well. She gave me enough detail and was very thorough with her responses but never made me feel overwhelmed or like things were too complex. Ingrid let me know ahead of time she had a heavy workload and that it would take a few weeks to get back to me once I gave her all the required information. I had no problem with this as we weren't in a rush and she was very transparent. Once I filled out the packet and sent back all the information about our assets and accounts, Ingrid was able to create the estate plan within a couple weeks. We had very minor comments and feedback - so the edits were quick, and we were able to sign the documents a few days after that. Ingrid offered an option for them to print everything for us and they also acted as our notary and we appreciated the ease and convenience greatly. Once everything was signed and all final fees were paid, Ingrid emailed us all of the signed documents and also let us walk out of the office with the original signed paperwork in a nicely organized binder that we have. Patricia Boyes is incredibly unprofessional and rude. I called her asking for help and consultation as a tenant and she literally told me to "stop talking" as I was explaining my situation to her and that "no one will believe a male victim". She was really condescending and patronizing, and did not actually answer any of the questions I came to her for. Do not call and waste your money. Fortunately I did not have to pay out of pocket for this but if I did you best believe I would be calling to charge back. I wish I could get the 10 minutes of my life back. Some quotes from our conversation: - "Well you can read the code just as I can and it says *proceeds to read code verbatim even though I asked her to interpret and explain legal jargon* " - "I can't predict the future; there's no crystal ball" (did not ask her to "predict the future"; only asked her to interpret whether the civil code is a strong enough protection for me to pursue my landlord for damages, etc. - "Well I do believe you but... you know have you tried talking to him (the landlord)?" --- Implying I haven't already gone through that effort. SMH, truly a disappointment. A true "Karen" lawyer if you will. If I could give negative stars I would. Stay away! read more

Update in regard to Patricia's response: Patricia apparently didn't even understand what our issue was: we weren't proposing building on our neighbor's land, but rather were asking about what to do about an existing structure outside of our property bounds. At any rate, I'm not sure how she sees violating trust by posting details of our situation, and those of others in other reviews, on a public forum as a smart move to increase perception of her professionalism. Stay away at all costs. We were referred to Patricia Boyes for a real estate matter through our LegalEase benefit at work. The benefit includes a 1-hour consultation before ongoing services, and we were forced to end our consultation after less than 8 minutes when it was clear that Patricia had no interest in helping. At one point, we asked if a certain path forward was an option, and she responded with a short "No." She was extremely bothered when I asked her to elaborate. When I asked a separate question, she literally laughed at me. I ended the call shortly thereafter. I don't expect lawyers to have the best bedside manner in the world, but I can't recommend this type of treatment to anyone who might need empathy for a tough situation, especially one that might merit reaching out for legal assistance. read more

In my Opinion, DO NOT WASTE your TIME and MONEY here. I had a case which wasn't too complicated and was referred here by LegalShield which I had to cancel the membership with them as well because of the poor services. Don't get me wrong, Nice people working there and I have no problem with any of them but the whole system and the way Patricia processes stuff makes you think twice to keep reminding her or keep following up, otherwise something else will happen. First of all took them months to figure out what even needs to be done. I called and went there and spent about an hour providing her all the info electronically and hard copy, and asked them multiple times that my company wants to sue AAA because of the accident I had. then after 3 months I realized that she filed a claim to sue the bodyshop then had to cancel that and start from the scratch. (mistakes happen so not a big deal ) Then next we were keep waiting for them and I was keep following up and I had all the paperwork that was showing what I make per year based on the bank statements and my accountant report but my problem here is this that I didn't see her fighting for the case and they were talking about was to settle it and obviously the settlement wasn't what I expected! charged were high for waiting and every month I was keep getting a messed up bill while she was not charging me every month, but at the end got a huge bill so basically spent half of what I got with these guys for not much doing. Also I told her multiple times that my company is suing this person and then AAA but still everything is under my name and now when I search on google, my name comes up against the aaa instead of my company's name. We had a water leak in our apartment, which resulted in several days of maintenance and construction in the kitchen/living room. Landlord declined all our requests for any reimbursements. Even emails where we detailed the potential health issues due to construction didn't help. Harish Tangri from this firm had promptly resolved this for us! Left voicemails with no return call. I have been very happy with Harish Tangri's integrity, and professionalism. We were potentially going to enter a dispute with our previous landlord/housing manager, but wanted to understand what kind of case we would have, and were not necessarily interested in going into a dispute at all costs, if it ate away at our limited time or sanity. The other attorney I spoke to under our Legalease was truly terrible and unprofessional--gave us recommendations that would line his pocket, but would add unnecessary stress to our lives. Harish Tangri told us what legal options we had, and helped us understand how to evaluate the cost/benefits of each legal option. We ended up NOT activating a legal option, and he guided us so that we were able to take steps to retain most of our security deposit rather than enter into a time-wasting dispute. I needed assistance in reimbursement of my security deposit from the management company that bought my old apartment building, raised the rent by $200+ and made a lot of people move out. Please stay away from Boyes Legal services, specifically Patricia Boyes. I had the misfortune of dealing with her recently to get a partnership agreement done for my real state investments. She is the most incompetent, unprofessional and rude attorney that I have ever dealt with. She cut and pasted the detail terms of the agreement I sent her for talking points and sent me back a PDF with several mistakes that needed to get adjusted. She then sent me a bill for $875 for 10 min phone call and this cut and pasted agreement. After I requested that she justify the charges based on the value she brought to us, she indicated that she spent 1.5 hours to put together the 4 page agreement that 2.5 pages of which is word by word my emails. To top it all, she sent me this final word: "Lastly, please don't ever call me again."   Patricia A. Boyes, Esq.Principal Attorney BoyesLegal, APC So I spent the money and still have no legal agreement but have no patience for dealing with such incompetence and rudeness. I can cut and paste my own emails much faster than her. Next time I will know better. It is a shame attorneys like her give a bad name to all lawyers. Update 7/20/18: Ms Boyes has forfeited her charges so I have not received an agreement but there was no extra bill at the end.
