Great practice. Staff is super nice and accommodating. Dr. Simian took my pain away and gave me my back mobility back. I went to a different chiropractor for years that was suggested by my insurance network but my pain didn't improve. I am so glad I found Dr. Simian. Together with Krista the massage therapist they were able to do what my prior chiropractor wasn't able to do in years. It's a long recovery for me if at all but I feel in good hands. This was my second visit to this office. The follow up was excellent. The office admin was warm and welcoming in spite of having to work on a Saturday. The doc was great. He remembered the particulars of my case and went to work quickly. I was very pleased after the first visit and my pain has diminished considerably since. So far it's been Amazing!! Going to Dr Shahen Simian for chiro care has helped so much. He and his staff are awesome! Even after the first adjustment I felt a lot better. The first session was a mix of working with the physical therapist, who does a massage and gets you ready for the adjustment. Then after being warmed up, the doc comes in and does the adjustment, leaving you feeling even better. Everyone here is amazing at what they do, from the doc to the physical therapists, to the receptionist. I have a lot of problems going in from day 1, which was a consult along with the first adjustment, and I explained my main issues. My main issue is posture, my spine needs to be re-aligned, and also forward head posture. He knew exactly what was going on and explained it in detail. We didn't even have to take x-rays which I liked. Now, that may not be the case for every situation, but with all that I had going on, I was relived and impressed that we didn't have to take x-rays. There is also a specific spot and area in my back, which we refer to as the sensitive or sore area. It only hurts if someone touches that area, or there is pressure on it. We are working on that as well. I have had that issue for most of my life, like since I was a young teenager, and now I am 37 yrs old. He has a smart strategy of adjusting the top of my back and lower back, which has been relieving pressure to the middle problem area. I myself couldn't believe the difference in how I felt after the first session. My neck and back in general feel a lot better. I have been to other chiros, 3 others just in my area, and no one compares to this guy and his staff. I am so glad I found them and decided to try them out. I was so frustrated after trying to find a new chiropractor, and was starting to give up, but then I called their office and they took me in the same day as a new patient. Another huge plus for me!! My issues are from a lifetime of being in front of a computer, since I was a kid, then teen years, and then as an adult doing IT work this whole time. There are even things he noticed that I didn't know about, like one side being off and uneven, so that's related to the hips and another thing we are working on. Add to all this the years of weightlifting I have done, some of the time doing things wrong and lifting more than I should (big lessons learned) and no wonder I have so many problems. I've stopped the weightlifting for now, going in to see the doc twice a week, and will wait until all my issues are resolved and recovered before starting again. I have had 4 sessions total now, and a big difference in my overall posture, spine and back. That sensitive area, he touched it the 2nd time, and I didn't "freak out" or "jump" like I did the first time he did. We both noticed it :) haha. Also, I have an issue with my ribs because of lifting too heavy. He is working on that. They are very careful in their approach to your body, starting off gently and with light pressure, until you get better and stronger. Then they can do more aggressive adjustments or pressure. These people are miracle workers with their hands! I also love that they are open the whole week from morning to evening with many hours that they are available. TL;DR EASY 5 stars. Very good adjustments, great muscle work, and teaching of stretches to do at home all for a reasonable price even without insurance. They're honest, flexible, and don't try to book you more sessions than you actually need. I have been going to chiropractors for about 15 years so I know it can be hard to find good, effective doctors that you can trust and afford. And some LA chiros are... well, weirdos with yucky vibes, if I'm being honest. But this place is legit. I started going here almost a year ago due to whiplash from a car accident, and there was a major improvement after one session. With follow-up up sessions and stretches Dr. Simian taught me to do at home, I was totally back to normal. Now I come for monthly adjustments, which often reveal that I was more creaked up than I thought. I've also missed sessions and had to reschedule a few times, and they've been really flexible and gracious with that which I really appreciate.
