I've been going to Dr. Burt for about 2 1/2 years and am thoroughly delighted. He has very healing hands, listens well and is very intuitive and quick to find the source of pain. After having chiropractors that do 10 minute appointments, it is so refreshing to spend almost an hour in each appointment and having one's muscles warmed up before any manipulations are done. This business also gets an A+ for efficiency, handling all the paperwork for insurance claims, which many offices do not do. Another benefit are the other onsite services. I usually book my chiropractic appointment back to back with acupuncture and come out twice as relaxed. I love that it's family run. They are charming and caring. This is a restful and competent environment. The staff is very good about reminding you about your appointment times. Dr. Burt is an AMAZING guy, who is kind & caring, and will do whatever it takes to make you feel better! I have been going to see him for about 14 years, and he & his wife have become great friends as well. I have suffered chronic pain for years, and have tried other things to feel better, from medication, to physical therapy, but nothing else makes me feel better. One of the things I love about going to see him is his personal attention to you. He doesn't send you off to some assistant who does the "ground work" and then adjusts you. He takes care of you from the moment you step in the office, till you leave. He is passionate about his work, his patients, and everything that makes another feel better. My family has been going to Doctor Burt for 20 years. He is a friend of a family after all these years and he really knows his stuff. My father has a severe neurological condition that impairs his motor skills and as a result he can't help the very poor posture he walks in. I tend to build up high levels of tension in the neck, shoulders, and upper back. My dad goes for the full "adjustment" and it works wonders. I can't believe how many kinks I have in my back until the doctor works them out. This is not a simple massage. The doctor's hands are magic, and he starts the session with the electrical machine that softens up muscles by using electrical current to tense and relax muscles in varying gradual patterns. The office is a very nice little space, very quiet and clean. The doctor's bedside manner is the best - kind, quiet, warm, fun, casual. What a great place. I just wish I could visit more often, since I don't live around here anymore. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Tokuhara for about 4 months now and he has helped me tremendously! I was really skeptical about seeing another chiropractor since my first (and last) experience was such a horrible one. The pain I was experiencing in my neck and shoulder blades had gotten to the point where I couldn't even move and I knew going to a regular doctor would just result in some prescription pills. Dr. Tokuhara made me feel such at ease and was super patient with my nervousness about adjustments. My situation was a bit complicated and he went above and beyond to help me figure out what was going on, even referring me to another chiropractor to get a second opinion. He worked with me every step of the way and I haven't had those debilitating pains in 2 months. He is such a caring person and that's all you could ever ask for in a doctor. Selma is equally as caring and so accommodating when it comes to scheduling appointments. We always 'talk story' before my appointment and I always feel right at home there. Had messed up my foot during concert shenanigans at night which left me limping. We had our flight out of Burbank airport the next morning to head to the Super Bowl and I sure as heck did not want to be limping the entire time in Atlanta. My husband found East West down the block and saw that they opened at 8am. We drove right over and he took me in last minute. In a snap fixed my foot! Mr. Magic Hands! Dr. Burt is great! Went in with neck pain that would not go away and in three treatments its 98% back to normal. All chiropractor offices should take lessons from this office!! Unlike another Burbank chiropractor I tried in the past, there was NO hard sell for multiple un-needed appointments or selling of useless vitamins and supplements at three times the cost of the same stuff at any local drug store. I have been going to Dr. for over 13years and will never go to anyone else. I've had lower back problems for awhile but when I became pregnant it just got worse. With all the extra weight from my belly my lower back and feet were killing me. I always looked forward to my visits because he had this table that was able to open up, so when i laid down my baby didn't get squished when he worked on my lower back. I was a tummy sleeper so this was a treat for me. After having kids my back was never the same. A few years ago I pulled my back out and was in such pain that I couldn't even walk. I was out of work for a week. My back would go through these spasms that hurt so bad. Dr Burt worked on my back a few times a week until I was 100%. I go every month regardless if my lower back isn't hurting. This year my 12 year old son started seeing Dr. Burt. He doesn't have problems like me but he's been going through a growth spurt and has been complaining that his body has been achy. It's growing pains and they will pass but I know Dr. Burt can help him through it. The other people in my life Dr. Burt helps is my mom, sister and brother-n-law. I've been coming to see Dr. Tokuhara for over a year now (maybe even two). My dad has been a client of his for maaaany years as well as my mom. We've referred friends to Dr. Tokuhara & from what I've heard, Dr. Burt is a cut above. Each session is an hour. He has lots of tools & machines he used. My favorite one is what I like to call the meat tenderizer. It really gets all the knots out & loosens up my stiffness. I have been going to Burt the last two months for random headaches I was getting. He was able to address my problem in my neck and within two weeks my headaches started going away. Burt is very intelligent, fun to talk with, can address problems with your body quickly, and I feel perfectly comfortable with him working on my neck and body. For decades I had back problems. Finally I walked into Bert's office with painful back spasms some time ago. Dr. Tokuhara focused on the root source that top VA orthopedics overlooked and resolved it. When you remove bone you will be shorter on that side and that will cause imbalance.
