After using Allied Roofing for years when I was a realtor . I hired them to do a flat roof/porch with two doors opening on it. Their representative measured incorrectly and had to remove the two doors. They drywalled the inside house, which was fine. But left these black like tar paper coverings over the exteriors. And said that they would come back and redo it well it's only been Two years and neither the representative nor the owner will return my phone calls. Couple of times Chris said he'd meet me over there and then didn't show up. Does this picture look like a professional job to you?? Be wary of this company they used to be very good. They were quick to come out and quote. Material showed up late so they did. We found a lot of nails in the yard plus had two rips to 2 our screens and grill cover. They gave us little money back for that. everything seemed good then the snow melted and out roof was leaking. Tried to contact them for three months. While the lady at the front answered the phone, no one returned the message. Finally someone contacted back. They came 2 days later then that said and "fixed" the problem. It was still leaking. Another month of trying to get them to come and fix it. They came, and it didn't seem to leak... until the next spring when the snow melted again! Needless to say we had to pay another company $700 to fix it. It hasn't leaked since. read more

Our office building had a flat torch down asphalt roof, and it was time to get it replaced. We had several quotes done, and to replace the roof was quite a large sum. So much so that we had even considered getting some trusses and building it into a peaked roof with shingles. Allied came along and offered a white silicone coating to cover our entire roof for a fraction of the cost. No one else even suggested this as an option. This coating has a 10-year warranty, but it's expected that it will likely last longer than this at as we don't live in the sunbelt. Note that the warranty is given by the manufacturer of the coating, and they send a rep to come inspect the /installer/roofers work when it is complete. In addition to the coating, Allied brought a crane to get our old rooftop AC units down, and this too was affordable. These were nice people to work with, and always followed up like they said they would. read more

Two months back I contacted 5 roofing companies: Hansons, Snyder, Moore and Sons, Above Roofing, and Allied. I explained to each of them that I was bidding the work out and that the work would be won not only on competitive price (Not the lowest), but also quality of product, references, experience (Years in business), total insurance and liability, and overall comfort with their sales rep. The job I was having done was a complete tear off with new shingles being installed. Dave Jr. from Allied came to the house and did a great job of asking the right questions, listening to my concerns, and providing a comprehensive scope of work for the job. While other companies had great presentations that focused on why them, Dave was very straight to the point with me. He explained what he could do and when they could get it done. Dave recognized that I did a tremendous amount of research as I was asking more technical questions of him. He didn't bore me with a 45 minute presentation. In my opinion, the market is flooded with roofers who all say they have the latest and greatest products. Because of this, I learned a lot about the technology out there. Having said this, I went back to Allied and spec'ed out what I wanted on my roof. I chose diamond synthetic for the underlaying, Certainteed Pro Hi-Def for the shingles, and shingle vent II for the vents. There was a lot more they did like reflashing the drain waste vents, ice and water shield (6ft), and replaced drip edge flashing to name a few. They completely accommodated my request and resubmitted their bid. It came in spot-on! I chose Allied because I felt most comfortable with them. I didn't feel like I was being sold, rather, that they just listened and offered me solutions that worked for me. They have been in business for a long time (more than 75 years) and are a family owned company. When all was said and done, they were the lowest bid as well. This was the icing on the cake. On the day of the install, their workers showed up early. They started working almost immediately. I went and got them some Gatorade in the middle of the day and offered to get pizza but they instead opted to go out to lunch somewhere. They finished the entire job in one day. I was absolutely amazed. I was able to look at the materials they were using before they got started to verify that they were using what I spec'ed out and everything was just right. I highly recommend using Allied. I have already given their contact information to two of my neighbors who also need roofs. I explained all the work I went through to get bids and that they should just make one call to Allied. I trust that Dave Jr. and his team will do a great job. Side note: Hansons is SUPER expensive and to be honest, if you spec out the materials you want with Allied, you can get everything they offer and more for less money. Their money back guarantee seemed nice but their price match policy is a joke. They will only match pricing if you have to replace 100 sq ft of plywood. Otherwise, you are out of luck. My roof was fine so I was automatically disqualified for price match. I feel as though if I were to go to Allied and tell them I was unhappy with the work, they would do everything they could to fix it. So in that respect, Allied matches everything that Hansons said they would do. Also, I found the Hansons sales rep to be overbearing. He didn't understand that I already did a lot of research and continued to try to sell me stuff I didn't want or need for that matter. We moved into our new home in March of this year. Prior to moving in we had an inspection done and requested that 4 splash guards be installed before closing. This was confirmed being done by Allied Roofing and I have the invoice confirmation. After a few days of being in our new home I noticed pieces of metal in my lawn. I found that they took pieces of bent metal and just glued them to the gutters. No real splash guards were installed per the invoice. I have been in contact with Dave for the last 6 months asking for it to be fixed. He originally had no idea who or why this work was done by their company but said he would send someone to fix it. No one ever came. He is hard to get a response from and did not stand by his word to fix the issue. I have since purchased the guards and installed on my own. Would not recommend doing business with them. Poor customer service, unorganized with the work they perform, and do not stand by their word to fix the issues. read more
