Leslie is the one who found the house too, we didn't even know it would be the one we wanted the most until she showed it to us. As young, first-time homebuyers, we knew nothing about the process of buying a home, but from the moment I sent my first email to Marc and Leslie, I felt like their most important and only customer. They are a fantastic team that really works to build great relationships with their clients. They were so responsive to every email and phone call, and they were available at a moment's notice to show houses or draft an offer. They walked us through every step of the contract process, explaining everything in detail, so that we didn't feel lost or in over our heads, and they patiently answered our hundreds of questions. They even helped us move our closing date up a few weeks and worked closely with our lender to make sure everything got done on time. Working with Marc and Leslie made househunting fun and easy, rather than a chore. They never pressured us into any decisions. They are just honest, pleasant people who really know what they are doing. I cannot fully express how happy we are that we chose the Suskins, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. I would use them again for a sale or purchase in a heartbeat!

I don't write reviews. I do read them, and I am grateful for all the people who take the time to…read moregive honest feedback on their experiences. But generally speaking, I have sort of a caveat emptor approach to life and I usually just figure, oh well, lesson learned ig. Other people might have different experiences than I did, don't let me bash something indiscriminately. Having said that, let me give you some valuable advice about Ridgemar Commons and how to deal with the Property Manager from Hell. To start with, there were many things I loved about living at Ridgemar. My unit was small but in great shape. It was typically pretty quiet (though if you can, try to get an upstairs unit as there seems to be very little dampening of sound between floors and the footsteps overhead can be obnoxiously loud), parking was close and plentiful, and the location is fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about the maintenance staff, especially Adonis, who was the go-to guy for my building. They were quick to respond, super knowledgeable and skilled at what they do, and are just generally good people I enjoyed being around. The problem was literally one person -- the property manager. For the life of me, I can't remember her name anymore, which was annoying at first because boy do I want to call her out by name. But then I realized that my brain had opted not to store that information and honestly? Mad respect for that. So the details of my story are insane and lengthy so I won't go into it here. And in all honesty, the issue began over a mutual mistake that we *both* made. But although I immediately owned up to my error once I understood what had happened, she kept doubling down again and again, *insisting* that she had done something that she absolutely did not do. The upshot of it was that I was being told that I had canceled my lease when I had not and that I needed to be out of my unit in 48 hours because it had already been rented to someone else. I called two attorneys I happen to know, explained the situation, and asked if I had any recourse. Both of them gave similar advice, which was that yes, I could take this to court, but without documentation proving what either of us had done or not done, it would be tricky to litigate and resolve. So I did some digging, and finally found the company who actually owned the complex. I reached out to them and within days I had a new year-long lease at the same rate. I spent that year just keeping my head down and biding my time. Until today. Because now, after I have moved away, received my deposit back, and it has cleared my bank, I am here to warn others about the unprofessional, dishonest, and aggressive way this property manager handles tenants at Ridgemar Commons. I wish I could express to you all how bad this situation got, how distressed and terrified and anxious I was for those few days. I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, cried constantly, felt shaky and lightheaded, and had a racing pulse at all hours of the day. It's the closest I have ever come to a complete collapse. And it was all because ONE PERSON refused to admit that she had made a mistake. So what's my advice to folks thinking about moving to Ridgemar Commons? There's still a lot of good things about this place, and for the most part they outweigh any of the negatives. But take it from me: be prepared. Go into it with your eyes open and know that the only person you can fully trust here is yourself. Document absolutely everything. In writing. Do not be afraid to talk to attorneys and to tell the property management that you have. And if push comes to shove, reach out to the company that owns the property (they're not always easy to find, I had to do quite a bit of sleuthing). You are your own best advocate. Don't be taken out by someone who parades around as an adult but has not yet grasped the concept of owning up to mistakes and correcting them or taking responsibility for her own actions. Good luck!

Unfortunately, our rent kept increasing each year and got to the point that it was no longer feasible for us to afford it. We lived in a two bedroom, one bathroom unit. This community is clean, quiet, and updated. The pool and gym are never busy. Have never had any issues with bugs, maintenance, or the front office. Parking is free and guests can park without a pass. You can find apartments with more space for less price around the area, but overall, would recommend the complex! I wish there were options to sign for longer than 12 months in order to minimize the increase in rent each year.

I live in South Florida, but I own a townhome in Gainesville that I wanted to sell quickly. I called Lisa and I was immediately impressed with her professionalism and with her vast knowledge of the real estate market and how to best market a home for a quick sale. Lisa genuinely cares about each and every one of her clients, and she always made me feel like I was number one on her list. She also returned every one of my phone calls and texts I sent her within minutes, and she answered every question I had. This was very important to me. Lisa's real estate expertise is amazing. She did a thorough market analysis, previewed my home, and sent me a list of things she recommended that I do to get a quick sale (new paint, new carpet, repairs, professionally clean the unit and the tile, remove certain furniture, etc.) I followed her advice and she was right. Lisa listed my home on June 27, 2018, and by noon June 28, 2018, we had three cash offers. We actually ended up selling my townhome for $2,000 over the asking price! Since I live out of town, I needed Lisa to be my eyes and ears for all the contractors I hired to work on my townhome. Lisa stopped by my home numerous times to help with whatever needed to be done (letting in the painter, checking out the new carpet for me, etc.) She texted me dozens of pictures so I could follow the progress of the contractors. She even stopped by my townhome after 9:00 p.m. when I asked her to check something in the townhome for me. Lisa did countless extra things for me, including installing new weatherseal by my front door when the old seal needed to be replaced, and she had great ideas to stage my home. She made my townhome look amazing! I have used several real estate agents throughout Florida during the last thirty years, and Lisa is by far the best agent I have ever had. She made everything so easy for me. She was always there to answer my questions, to help me with whatever needed to be done, and to walk me though every step of the selling process before, during, and after the sale. I am so happy that I found Lisa. I recommend her 100% to anyone who wants to hire the very best real estate agent in Gainesville! Thank you, Lisa, for all the extra things you did for me and for the amazing job you did selling my townhome in one day - and for $2,000 over the listing price! This wouldn't have happened without you. You are beyond awesome!
