Charlie recommended cedar: 8 ft x 3" wide and bevelled 1" thick at one edge and 1/2" at the other. I'll mitre them to meet at the corners. The cedar pieces are so beautiful I feel bad I have to paint them. Mine was a very small order but I received 5 star service. No wonder they are nearing 100 years in business!

Scott and his crew were not only able to fit us in but did such a great job. We have lots of landscaping and flowers surrounding our house and the crew took such great care to protect all of it. They even moved pots out of the immediate area and replaced them, I wouldn't have even noticed if I hadn't caught it on my doorbell camera. I asked them to include the chimney since it needed some attention, it looks better than it did when I moved in 15 years ago. I included a before and after photo of the dark stains that were washed away so you can see for yourself. What really put this company over the top is they treated a sun shade that had moss and mildew and it looks like new. My house always has green due to the plants and overhanging trees, not anymore! On both jobs, the price was very fair and the job was well done. With the patio replacement, the concrete truck left big ruts in our yard due to recent heavy rains. The workers apologized and repaired the damage themselves the very next day. In addition to the concrete work, they also created a gravel pathway from the driveway to the patio. They did a great job with that, too. I would recommend Baldwin to anyone who needs this type of work done.
