This company will do ANYTHING to make sure their tenants do not receive all of their deposits back even if you fulfill ALL their move out criteria. They will file evictions prematurely, to falsifying pictures as proof of why they are not returning your full deposit, to not providing detailed proof of why they are keeping your deposit. DO NOT rent from this company. Keeping your deposit becomes their main goal from the moment you sign your lease. Take a lot of before and after pictures of everything (lawn, trees, the entire house, and outside of the house, the street too). Chris Naper and the entire Allstar Management company are some unrighteousness humans. This company will not make it far operating off these immoral principles. Have been a tenet here for almost 5 years. In 2022, we had exposed nails from our carpet and the company refused to fix it for MONTHS. I have two young children that got stabbed multiple times and we ended up at the doctor numerous times. The finally replaced it. Since we signed our initial lease we have put in maintenance tickets do to leaking and we knew our roof was bad, well fast forward to June of this year and our entire ceiling in our master bedroom caved in. There was a hole in the roof as well. So we were exposed to outside conditions for almost a week before they fixed it. Now we are going on day 4 with no ac and they "don't know when the parts coming". Ninety degree weather, mind you i have three small children. Completely unacceptable but you bet rent goes up every year despite us being long term tenets. Save your money and do not go with them. The only reason we stayed this long is due to the wonderful neighbors/neighborhood we currently live in. read more

A bit rocky towards the end but management worked hard to keep us safe and give our family everything we needed when unexpected circumstances arose in the home . I'm over this business and it hasn't even been a year. We get charged for everything under the sun. Kind of feels like we're been robbed blindly. It takes them forever to come fix something, half the time it doesn't even get fixed. I would NOT recommend this rental company. 2/10 stars from us. read more

They threaten to evict you every month for something. Wont come fix anything things have literally been falling apart since I moved in. The office lady is blatantly rude and the maintenance people are all crackheads. I hate I ever rented from these people!!! read more

Have been attempting to contact someone over one of the management agents and cannot get any response and will not be allowed to speak with any of their supervisors. As a lead in our neighborhood association if we have an issue with one of their properties we should be able to get our issues heard and acknowledged. That is not the case withal of the management agents. read more

All Star is a skeevy company. We've had many issues with them over this year, particularly with regard to maintenance. They are slumlords who are always trying to pass you off to someone else whenever you call, and they'll never call back. The home itself is not in great condition on the outside. The porch has issues to the point that the wooden floor of the porch is actually rolling up, so it has a "hill" of sorts. The inside on a surface level seems fine, but we have excessive drain issues with clogs in the bathroom sink and tub even when using a hair catcher. We had a leaking roof in our kitchen for about a month in the rainy fall before it was fixed. It was leaking buckets of water into the kitchen. They finally fixed the roof, but now we just don't have a central light in the kitchen because they have yet to fix the shorted light. We also have a mouse problem. This has gone on since the fall with very little assistance. Just today I received an email stating that this is my responsibility as a tenant, which violates Ohio law. I have requested that holes be filled which are easy mouse entry points. Even if, hypothetically, extermination was a tenant responsibility, filling a mouse hole that is in the landlord's defective property is certainly not a tenant responsibility. These issues have been completely ignored. Regardless of what my maintenance request is, I almost always receive a "canceled" notice to my email, even for things they've said they were going to fix, like replacing the kitchen light that is shorted. Most of the time, there is no explanation of the reason for the cancellations. It is also hard to get in touch with them. It's rare to get someone outside of 9-5 hours, and sometimes you spend so much time being transferred and passed around that there is no way to talk during a break at work. This means it's hard to hold them accountable. This is easily my worst renting experience. No one should have to check a mouse trap every time they go to their bedroom or bathroom, and they certainly shouldn't have to pay money to do so. read more

The will not fix the fence. The tubs are outdated to the point they are no longer white BUT my rent has went from $875 to $915 to $938 without one single home improvement! I will no longer be taken advantage of. You get a 15 day notice that your rent is going up and it happens each year. read more

This rental company are slumlords! Do not rent with them! The property we leased and moved into was neglected inside/outside, dirty, missing items (I.e. Outlet covers, blinds, smoke detectors, cracked kitchen tiles, damaged doors etc). I told them we would make the repairs, replace items, etc if we got reimbursed. They told us that per the lease that property is "as is" and any repairs or replacement that we did, we wouldn't get reimbursed for. Their maintenance workers and work orders took forever and didn't do a good job or do the job right! Had problems with this company from the time we moved in until the time we moved out. We left that property in better condition than what we walked into. Yet, getting charged for items that were already damaged/missing prior to us moving in! These people are crooks! read more

Allstar is one of the best property management companies I have ever dealt with. They are friendly, prompt and really take great care of their properties. The house I am renting in Horn Lake for a great price I might add, was completely renovated before I moved in. Soon after moving in there was an unforeseen plumbing issue. The roots of the huge oak trees in the front yard had grown though the pipes. Even though this was a very costly repair, the job was done quickly and without any complaints. They even come around regularly and change the filters on the brand new trane system that was installed before I moved in. I renewed by lease by signing off on a form that was given to me in August 2016. I them called and asked for my lease to be emailed to me or a copy of it to register my son for school. The young lady with the nasty attitude said that I had to pay $10 for something that I never received. I only have the lease from when I first moved in. She was very rude. worst company to ever rent from. renters beware. many many problems with the houses they "flip". they just slap on some paint and new carpet and used broken appliences then tell you to fix them because they don't work. they threw in an old gas stove in the kitchen and there wasn't even a gas line to hook up the stove. then the broken stove has a gas leak that they are in no hurry to fix and replace. been 5 days without a stove/oven since if you turn it on gas will start pouring out. read more

I wouldn't even give this company one star of I didn't have to in order to write this review. When the home was rented from all-star there was issues with the plumbing. A huge hole was found outside the home in a pipe flooding the yard causing there to be not use of the water inside the home. After almost a week of being unable to live in the home after signing the lease this company has the plumbing taken care of. When calling the company to have the issue resolved I was told it wasn't their problem and was simply waiting on the owner of the home to comply. When ask if my rent would be pro rates due to the lack of ability to live in the home I was told no. Also there was (is) broken an missing Windows that were suppose to be replaced. Allstar ask me to keep the key in the box on the door until the company came to replace the windows. One day when I arrived home the key an box was gone windows not repaired or replaced. I've lived in this home almost a year an it had yet to be replaced nor have I received my key back to the home. Today I woke up to raw sewage in my bathroom floor, tub and toilet. I contacted all-star when calling again 41 minutes later I was told someone would be out or contact me shortly. Two hours after speaking to them I still had no response or no show. I contacted them back to ask when someone would arrive and was told they didn't know. When ask how or where I should shower or use the bathroom I was told to go to Walmart. I thought this has to be a joke, but she was beyond serious. I will never rent from this company again an would never advise anyone else to. I would live under a bridge before dealing with all-star ever again. The people are rude and unhelpful. Worse rental agent in the whole area! read more
