As a Prince of Procrastination, I've been busting my butt in packing to get ready to move, yet again (2x in less than 13 months). I had originally been scheduled to move on Thursday, 9/24. But, due to a 25% chance of rain, and, insofar as I was concerned, a serious health code violation at my old complex, I wanted to get out ASAP! Unfortunately, my plans to move Sunday, or Monday, didn't work out. So, yesterday morning (Monday, 9/21), I called AllStar Moving. Unfortunately, no one picked up. So, I left a message. My call was returned about 2 hours later. :-) I told the guy, I need to move ASAP. Can you do anything to help me accomplish this? After telling him where I live, and where I was moving to, he said either Tuesday, or Wednesday. :-o Because of my hearing problem, I clarified by asking, Tuesday? As in tomorrow, 9/22? And, he said, Yes (all giddy inside). After getting the arrival time down, and finding out the estimated cost (3 guys + the truck), I agreed to have use their services. At about 10:40A.M., my cellphone rang. After picking up, the caller was one of the movers informing me that they would be there in about 1-1.5 hours. Well, they arrived just before noon. I showed them what goes, and what stays. And, they did their thing. The guys introduced themselves. And, they were friendly. Yet, professional. And, once they got going, they didn't stop. I know they were tired. Because, I was their 2nd job of the day. And, taking only 4.5 minutes to get to my new place, they didn't get much of a break. Since it's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment (moving into a 2/2, and only taking bulk items, and packed (much still packed from my AZ to GA move on 8/28/19) boxes, it didn't take them very long (I still have several small things, and can goods to bring over). I was given an estimate of 3 to 4 hours; they were done in 2.5 hours! Even the movers commented on how nice my new place is (especially, compared to the old place). So, the move itself cost me $385.00 (the same time for the other place, would have cost me $500.00). In Georgia, while not a requirement, tipping is allowed. So, since there were 3 guys, I gave them each, $20.00 beer money. ;-) But, I told them, not until after you clock out. For sure, I'll keep them in mind for my next move (yes, I do have at least 1 more move to do; maybe 2 or 3). read more

I cannot express my gratitude enough. These guys are the absolute best movers I have ever had! They arrived on time, were so cool to hang with and super professional, packed my 1300 sq ft apartment in macon up in under 2 hours... and met us in buckhead right after we got there. We had to get creative and they worked with us to unload into our patio rather than buzz into our parking garage! They worked tirelessly even though we all had no water or food for hours. Damien was one of the hardest workout men ever of the group, even unloading a desk heavier than anything.... I called the owner this evening to thank him for having such amazing people! We just hope we tipped them enough bc we wish we could do more! Great guys,price less than half of the competitors and this is a mom and pop owned company. Called them a month ago for Sept. 2. "Dan" confirmed the day before and said the movers would be there between 9:00-9:30. At 9:45, I tried calling and it went to voicemail with the mailbox full. One man/Brandon called saying he was unable to get the rental van (they don't have a truck?!) and couldn't get another person either. He said he would come Sunday @ 2:00 with a trailer and another person. On Sunday I called him at 2:15 and he texted he was unable to get the trailer or the other person. Just by the grace of God, a friend had a trailer and my son asked some friends at the last minute to help. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!! read more

New job brought me to Macon . Used this company for my intrastate move (Atl to Macon) and they were wonderful. I'd definitely recommend to others and let my HR dept know since they list this company on our Co site. I did not have any of price/rate issues other listed they told me up front of the 5% surcharge on cc and the preference to split out the movers tip from the move bill. We moved from Woodstock Ga. to Lizella Ga. with a 2 day gap in between the locations before we could move into our home. The owner was more than accommodating without breaking the bank. Ricky and his crew were amazingly efficient, friendly and stress free! We couldn't move in until after 3pm on a Friday and Ricky came with 4 of his crew members and got the job done. This is the worse company ever. I request Allstar moving company because a senior citizen told me her friend use them and thy were very good and place furniture and caring. I receive just the opposite. There was 2 guys Braden and Tae. Braden the lead guy personality was ok but Tae has a poor attitude and his commit to me was we have stuff to do just like everyone else after I mention he look like he didn't want to be here. I state this is your job you should not have came if you didn't want to work. I should have at that point ask them to leave but I was alone tired and want my items move to the new location. This was November 23 the day before Thanksgiving. I too am a senior citizen. I move from a 1 bedroom to a 2 bedrooms and only furniture I had was a king size bedroom set, sofa, stove and refrigerator, washer, dryer, 3 stands, 2 tv's and a lot of boxes which it did not take long for the boxes from the old unit thy both use dollies. It took them 6 & 1/2 hours to do. I didn't get all my items from the other unit because time was ticking and the charge was $150 and hour. When we got to the new place I am upstairs so I could not watch them. It took them forever to get the items in and they did not place them plus they broke one of the foot off my dresser and chip my it as well as my bed and my night stand. On top of that Tae just drop my sofa because Braden wasn't holding to right and he slam the washer on the floor when he brought it in and every time i said something to him he got an attitude. But they both had the nerves to say if the you don't pay use we know where you live at the begging of moving because they said they had trouble collecting from people( I see why). Then when I was writing the check I said I am so tried I hope I am writing the check correct and Braden statement was we know where you live. Now I didn't feel comfortable with them continue you say that because there are legal ways of handle any situations. Even though they reduce my charge to $135 and hour and 5 hours instead of 6 I still had to pay $675. That's lot of money for a 1 bedroom unit. I have used this company in the past more than once though my husband set up the appointment he didn't mention any bad vibes and the movers who came were all about the business. They came in were respectful of us, our children and our belongings. They didn't slack around and caused the move to take longer than the allotted time. I attempted to call them for a more recent move but they are BOOKED. Customer service is always a deal maker and respect goes a long way. Thanks guys wish you hadn't been busy. read more

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had a bad experience two years ago and I would like to give them a second chance. This past week was another bad experience with this company. The owner is not transparent with cost towards its customers. They failed to keep up their promises by taking care of customers' belongings and ended up with major damages. RUN FAR AWAY! I read the mixed reviews and was reluctant, but can assure you this is not a qualified or professional business. Customer service is lack luster, values and ethics are subpar, and not to mention the owner displayed overt signs of racial undertones when he saw I was a mother of a bi-racial infant. I usually don't leave reviews but I had no choice! After moving here for a job, I used this service and was completely horrified with my customer service experience. The owner was extremely rude, did not adhere to basic CDC recommendations (wearing a mask during a pandemic) and quite frankly he was overtly racist. The movers did an excellent job. However, the boss was very rude when I asked if there were safety guidelines in place during the pandemic since masks were not worn and he hung up in my face. He denied I had a medical condition when I expressed concerns of their safety guideline or presumably, lack thereof. On the phone, he continued to cut me off after I tried to say several times that I wasn't trying to insult his business. Safety guidelines are posted and/or told to customers all of the time and as a paying customer, I have a right to inquire about those guidelines if I have people in my house. This company is clearly not operated by a professional business owner. I ordered a moving truck to be at my location at 9:30 they arrived an hour early. Nothing was talked about over the phone as far as open boxes or containers are not insured. Or the fact that if you want to conveniently pay over the phone by credit card you will be charged a 5% fee. I will say the polite movers were speedy and did a great job no thanks to their boss. Their caring boss also likes to screw them over so if you pay by check and you want to tip them be sure you write a separate check or Dan the boss will take 40% of that hard earned tip they just worked for. read more

I'm not a firm believer of writing negative reviews. I personally feel that the best manner to handle poor service is to not support the business. However, since Dan essentially "threatened" me, I felt that this review was very deserving. I will never use or recommend Allstar Moving & Delivery due to Dan's behavior. And if Dan is a professional, he will redirect his energy for developing "a plan of suing me for slander" into potentially rectifying this situation with myself and other potential customers who may come across this review. I used Allstar Moving & Delivery for my move from Macon, Georgia to Hampton, Georgia in December 2012 and was pleased with the service and pricing. This led me to send an inquiry with Dan Couley (owner) on October 15, 2015 for an upcoming move in Hampton, Georgia on October 31, 2015. I called Dan with details on October 15, 2015 and followed up with an email. Dan verbally guaranteed that he would be able to perform the move for me in Hampton, Georgia and that "I had his word because he was a God-fearing man" (his words not mine). I never received a response to my email, and gave Dan a call the following day, October 16, 2015. Dan said that he received my email and that he was in the middle of a move, but I had no worries and he would still be able to handle my upcoming move. On October 21, 2015, I finally received an email from Dan stating "thanks for your inquiry, I'm sorry we are completely booked." I was a little dismayed because this contradicted what he verbally stated previously. I immediately called him to see if he confused my moving request for another. Dan told me again that he was completely booked and that he did not appreciate the fact that I told him that "I did not believe my move should take over 4 hours (including travel time)" in the original email that I sent to him on October 15, 2015. Dan felt that this was an example of me telling him how to do his job and he was not going to accept that. As I mentioned to Dan, my "4 hour time frame" was a personal estimate. If my time estimate was unrealistic, then Dan (as the moving professional), should have advise me (as the customer) otherwise. Dan went on to mention that there were closer movers in McDonough, Stockbridge, and Jonesboro (Georgia) and that I should contact them. Dan is correct with that statement, however I chose to contact him initially for my move because I used him previously and was familiar with his professionalism (or at least I thought). Furthermore, if Dan felt that my move was "out of his area" then he should of told me that when I initially reached out to him on October 15, 2015. (If Dan would have suggested to contact a moving company that was closer, in the beginning, I would have had no problems and would of still considered Dan for any future moves that I may have had.) During this phone call, I advised Dan that I would be going onto Yelp and Google and reviewing him based on his lack of professionalism (Dan called this a "threat"). Dan then advised that if I give him any negative reviews, that he would contact his lawyers and sue me for slander. I immediately hung up the phone and was bombarded with text mesages from Dan stating: "Your immaturity is evident and we would never do business with an individual like yourself." "Your threats of slander will be met with a lawsuit." "I have your number and email address so my lawyers will find you and you will pay." "Since you know how long it will take to unload your truck and do what is necessary, do it yourself. You seem to know it all. Good luck!" Dan also sent me emails essentially expressing these same sentiments. While Dan never provided me with a written confirmation of acceptance to my moving request (I emailed him twice prior trying to get this to no avail), his lack of professionalism is clearly evident by the rude treatment and harsh comments he spoke, texted, and emailed to me. I Can't speak for these other reviews and they're one star critiques, but I have used them twice now and have had nothing but great service, the owner has been nothing but courteous and nice to me and my family. And the employees are fast efficient and friendly and it's a good bargain as well. The $200 to $300 spent is well worth foregoing a back injury or shoulder strain. read more

This was the first time that I have ever used a moving company and it was absolutely an awesome experience! It was by far the absolute best price that I could find at any other company. The owner who I dealt with and gave me my quote was very friendly and always returned my calls in a timely manner. The guys who moved our furniture were extremely friendly and took very good care of all of my things by wrapping them and being extremely careful. I will recommend them to anyone! My daughter is going to use them when she moves in a few months and we will be moving in September and I would not even think about using anyone else to move us again! They have a customer for life with my husband and I and I will always refer them to anyone that I know who is moving. This company lost my shelf for my armoire. I called and the company and they acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. It was not left at the previous location because I checked. Made a reservation for a moving truck weeks in advance... get a call the morning we are supposed to pick it up and are informed they don't have it. Apparently they saw our reservation "before the weekend and hoped one would come in." If you know about it ahead of time, do something about it or call your customer and let them know. I called All-star moving in the planning stages of relocating for my job to receive a price quote. I spoke with the owner, Dan Couey, asked him to email the quote and let him know I was still in the planning and would contact him to set up the move it I decided to go with his company. He was very demanding wanting to know who else I had been in contact with and was speaking poorly of all competition, which was a factor in my final decision to go with a company that was priced slightly higher. I did not reach back out to Mr. Couey further than to receive a quote, but received a call a couple of days before my move from him to confirm services. I let him know I had made my decision and received confirmation from the company I had opted to go with which was not his, at which time Mr. Couey began raising his voice, yelling and cursing at me, calling me names. I made a comment that he didn't need to be rude at which time he proceeded to tell at me he is a respectable business man (using several 4 letter words as descriptives while making that phrase).
