I had a pipe break in my home while insured by Thomas Schlosser with American Family Insurance. I was able to have my wall repaired and my ceiling repaired. AmFam will only reimburse you for damages AFTER YOU PAY OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIRS. My flooring on the first level of my home needed to be replaced. If you price out the cost of flooring it gets very expensive. I waited to get it done in order to be able to afford the repair. It turns out they have a 2 year window for helping me out. I completed my flooring project a couple of months outside of the 2 year window so they WILL PAY NOTHING! KEEP IN MIND I NEVER WAS LATE AND NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT! Meanwhile they raised my rates because of a claim but will not reimburse me a dime towards replacing my flooring which WAS INSURED. I am DISGUSTED WITH THOMAS SCHLOSSER AND AMERICAN FAMILY! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! THEIR LIKE GANGSTERS WHO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND OFFER NO REAL PROTECTION!!! In case you think I am overstating my case check out this article from Clark Howard. Bradley is totally unavailable to speak to a lifetime customer any day of any week. I switched agents today. I was with this particular State Farm branch for 24 years with Ron Green who was excellent! Ron retired and sold this agency to Bradley who has Zero interest in his customers!
