I called during their regular office hours. Have you ever called a doctor's office and gotten the menu to push numerous suggestions of buttons to push for your problem to be solved? That's what I was hearing. I left my message of not renewing my policy. After all the years of being with this local agency, having never met the owner, I think it was his voice going through the menu options. I called the DeSmet Agency on a Sunday afternoon, knowing they weren't open, but wanting a quote to see if I could do better with the exact same coverage. I left my message. The next morning, Monday, I received a call from Mr. Tim DeSmet, and we discussed my options. In less than an hour later, Mr. DeSmet called back with a quote. It's a good thing I was sitting down. With his diligence, Mr. DeSmet's quote would be saving me $538.40 a year!!! When I came into his office to start my policy with my new company, Mr. Tim DeSmet personally greeted me and shook my hand. Before this day, I was ignorant of knowing about DeSmet Agency because I blindly trusted an agency I thought was doing the best for me. I goofed but got wiser when that inflated car insurance bill arrived a couple of weeks ago. Why would anyone choose another agency?

Holden stated they would definitely find us a new company before the insurance ended on Sept 7th. Well let's just say that date has gone and past and we still have not heard back on insurance. We are now moving on with a new insurance company. They left us high and dry with no insurance on our buildings. Never again will I do business with them!! Kay Lackner was absolutely incredible to work with. She answered all of my questions, advised me on the necessary steps to best proceed with the claim process, and was always available to speak with me regarding any questions or concerns I had.
