July 11, 2023 Newest experience: You will NOT believe this,…read morebut Roy Hooker IV's associate Serena actually went in on a Sunday to submit our policy application to Citizens for Property Insurance coverage at our rental. The reason we were rushing at the last minute was because our previous agency let us down. I received a renewal of more than double from the carrier who bought out the one we were with and called to tell that other agency that we were not accepting their renewal offer and requested they shop it among other carriers, to which the agent replied, "Oh, we've got plenty of time for that!" And I replied, "No, not really. I would prefer not to wait until the last minute." Well, they waited until the last minute and maybe thought I would just accept it, I don't know, but I quickly called my State Farm agent Roy Hooker's office and spoke with Serena about seeing what she could come up with. She jumped right on it and got me coverage with Citizens for even slightly less than it was the previous year! Instead of $3200, she was able to secure coverage for $1,500. But here's the even more impressive part: SHE WENT IN TO THE OFFICE ON A SUNDAY to bind the coverage for us before the policy was set to expire Monday morning at 10:00 a.m.! Who does that??? I've worked in the insurance industry for brokers and agencies. I've purchased renters, homeowners, and property insurance for 36+ years. I have NEVER had an agency go to such measures for us. And...last month 6/04/23 State Farm and Roy's staff handled the severe hailstorm damage by helping us file a claim using our Homeowner's policy to get everything replaced or repaired including damage to all 4 of our cars. It could not have been easier! all the way! Like a good neighbor State Farm was there! Again and again!

Finally got a membership this year and went to the local physical location to vet some tour books and maps! Sometimes it's just more fun this easy instead of hiding behind a screen. Everyone was very friendly and showed me ask te different amenities offered, which includes copying service and notary! The key offerings though include services for travel, insurance, discounts, and printed maps!! You can even do DMV related services at some locations. I got ask the help I needed and try made sure Ib was aware of programs where I could earn AAA dollars to go towards my next year's renewal. AAA had definitely changed over the years, but the core services, offerings, and customer service have not changed.
