She explained everything to me and pointed out some things that I didn't even know I didn't have on my State Farm poilicies. She was very easy to talk to. While I was there the owner came in and introduced herself to me and thanked me for coming in. I was so surprised at how easy the transition was to move all of my policies. They took care of all of the paperwork and even sent over cancellation letters to my State Farm agent. The company has become annoying, and I won't be using them again.

In 2014, I purchased…read morea home and decided to use Steve Holley as my home owners insurance agent as my ex spouse was insured under Craig Williams. In July 2015 I switch my auto insurance over to Steve Holley's office mainly because his Office Manager stated that they needed my car and home under the same agent to obtain and keep my discounted homeowners insurance. In September, I received a cancellation notice for 1 claim in 2013 and 2 claims in 2015. The 2015 claim was due to my vehicle breaking down having it towed then finding out the company it was towed to was unable to determine what was wrong with it to repair it. Thus it was towed again within a week. I immediately contacted Mr. Holley's office to file an appeal. I asked to speak with him on several occasions. He is never available and never bothers with returning calls. Nevertheless, my appeal was filed by the office manager earlier this week. When I checked the mailbox today (Friday), I was surprised to see a refund check which stated it was a result of closing my payment plan account. This is just the short version of a nightmare.

After an electrical event damaged my grinder pump and the pump breaker box, raw sewage began spilling into my yard, creating a serious health hazard. My family couldn't safely stay in our home, and I had to pay to stay in an Airbnb while waiting for my claim to be handled. Instead of promptly helping during an emergency, I felt like I was met with delays, repeated requests for more documentation, and resistance to covering the damage. After 14 years of paying my premiums on time, I expected my insurance company to stand behind me when I needed them most. Insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind during unexpected disasters. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on how my claim was handled, I cannot recommend Farmers Insurance.
