Wednesday evening, my bride and I got home from work only to find a tree on our house. Never having…read morehad the need to make a homeowner's claim before, I called our agent Robert Young for help. It was after hours, but he returned our call within five minutes. His first concern was that me and my family were safe and had shelter. He then immediately started working on my claim and advising me on the steps I needed to take. Long story short, within 72 hours, the tree was removed (same night), we have an approved estimate to repair the damage, and Safeco has already sent a check to cover the cost of the tree removal. Mr. Young and the entire staff at Tradewinds have taken all the stress out of what in normal circumstances would have been an incredibly stressful situation. I cannot emphasize my gratitude for service we have received. Pillar to Post, David Millican did a pre-purchase inspection of our home on April 25, 2022 and…read morefailed to properly inspect our attic space. We got the keys to our home on May 25, 2022, without any idea that there were any issues. I was very clear with my realtor that our new home could not have any moisture or mold due to my underlying health issues of COPD, heart disease, and compromised immune system and my grandchildren living in the home. The inspection report did not indicate any of those things, so we proceeded with the purchase. From May through October our area of Darrington Washington was in a drought and had no recordable rain fall. In December, we began to notice brown water on the living room window ceil and thought the other had spilt coffee as we all work different shifts and set our coffee up there away from the kids. It was not until removing the Christmas lights around the window that we saw the brown staining went all the way around the window. My son-in-law who is a co-owner of the home and his father then went up into the attic and took pictures of nine separate leaks in the attic as well as what appeared to be different kinds of mold. I hired another inspection company to come out after my home-owners insurance denied our claim because the issues of mold and leaks were there prior to our ownership. The new inspection proved that David did not follow protocol and did not fully inspect our attic. Pillar to Post is now refusing to give us their insurance information for us to file a claim and have the damages repaired as now our master bathroom, master bedroom, and living room have damage as well as continued damage and mold growth in the attic that we are breathing. I am running an air purifier 24/7 but it is not enough. We put everything we had into buying this home and now I may have to move because I am now using a breathing machine at night and my health has deteriorated since October. My granddaughters have also had multiple respiratory infections since October while living in the house. Don't use Pillar to Post!
