I had a claim due to a wild horse hitting my car in the Nevada desert. I have 3 legitimate estimates for $4000. They paid $2400. Their excuse was that they could total the car if they paid more money. The car is worth more than double the legitimate cost to repair. I guess we'll just have to go with small claims. They did manage to send their worthless newsletter to the correct email. It just showed up in promotions. Time for a complaint to the Department of Insurance. Bad service all the way around.

The individual agents seem ok, but their interface with underwriting is a confusing mess. By insuring assets in different states things got really messy for me. It took months to be refunded from the jet ski cancellation, and weeks for a second vehicle cancellation in WA. Then because I insured my truck in Idaho underwriting cancelled my motorcycle in Anacortes!!! What a terrible company. I'll NEVER deal with State Farm again. Maybe the others are as bad but they cannot be worse! Sorry Heather Ladd, you may be great but the corporation you represent is the worst insurance experience of my life. AND I'm the poster child good customer you WANT. Getting quotes on truck for Idaho and I should be State Farm free soon.

Wednesday evening, my bride and I got home from work only to find a tree on our house. Never having…read morehad the need to make a homeowner's claim before, I called our agent Robert Young for help. It was after hours, but he returned our call within five minutes. His first concern was that me and my family were safe and had shelter. He then immediately started working on my claim and advising me on the steps I needed to take. Long story short, within 72 hours, the tree was removed (same night), we have an approved estimate to repair the damage, and Safeco has already sent a check to cover the cost of the tree removal. Mr. Young and the entire staff at Tradewinds have taken all the stress out of what in normal circumstances would have been an incredibly stressful situation.
