However, no refund has ever been issued to me to today, and they have never stopped charging me for my old policy every month! This is the most ridiculous insurance company I've ever worked with! Communication was inconsistent, and I repeatedly had to follow up for updates. The most serious issue involved an admitted oversight related to projected tax liability for 2026 (something I didn't ask for), which has caused hours dealing with the IRS and a moderate amount of stress. What left the worst impression was the response afterward. Rather than taking meaningful accountability for communication failures and oversight, the focus was placed on defending the return's technical accuracy and justifying the fee. The small "goodwill adjustment" offered felt dismissive given the amount of time and frustration involved. Accuracy is expected from a paid tax professional. Communication, attention to detail, and client support are what separate a quality firm, and unfortunately this experience fell short in those areas.
