I thought I was going to have to rejigger all of my gutters for thousands of dollars, but Michael identified the real problem as lying in my neighbor's driveway, which had a dip next to his basement door where all of the water collected. Plus, his drainage system had never been cleaned (he's owned the building for 24 years). The solution then that Michael urged us to was first for my neighbor to contact Roto Router to clean out his drains. In the event that didn't do the trick, another easy solution he suggested was redirecting my downspout from the back of the building to the front. So, while I had no need to hire Primestone, the advice my neighbor and I received (for free!) was sufficient to resolve the problem for the present, and likely into the future. Many thanks Michael!

I would suggest those of you who got screwed by them do the same. I live in Watertown, MA. They were walking around the neighborhood, soliciting business, which I found out later from the city that was not legal. They gave me a quote. Now I realize the estimate was outrageous. I told them they must secure a permit before they start the work. They showed up on a day that I wasn't home, with no notice and started the work with no permit. The city building inspector drove by on the second day, and shut them down. A month goes by and my porch is on temporary support pillars. They still had not applied for the permit, but they were happy to cash my deposit. They made all kinds of promises, including when I canceled the contract that the check was in the mail. It's now in the hands of the Attorney General and I hope to get my money back that way. I hope the attorney general can also file criminal charges.

Until this year, we had nothing but positive things to say. Unfortunately, our most recent experience was completely unacceptable and has left us extremely disappointed. When we called to order mulch, we were told the credit card machine was down, so we couldn't pay over the phone. We were informed that paying the driver upon delivery was an option. We were also told the mulch would be delivered the following afternoon and that the driver would call before arriving. I stayed home all day waiting for the delivery. At 4:20 p.m., I had to leave briefly to pick up my child from daycare for a 4:30 pickup. Shortly after, I received a call from Nelson Landscape stating the mulch had already been delivered. The employee who called was rude, disrespectful, and immediately demanded payment. They insisted I had been told delivery would occur between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m., which was never communicated to me. Had I been given that information, I would have made other arrangements. When I asked if I could provide my credit card over the phone, I was told no one was in the office to take payment. I then asked if I could simply call back the next day to pay by credit card. Instead of receiving a reasonable response, the employee said, "Whatever, I don't have time to deal with this," and hung up on me. After years of being a consistent, reliable customer, this level of customer service was shocking. The interaction was disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. We understand that mistakes and miscommunications happen, but there is never an excuse for treating loyal customers this way. Given the way I was spoken to and the complete lack of professionalism shown during this interaction, we can no longer support this company. It's incredibly disappointing that after years of loyalty, one employee's disrespectful behavior has completely changed our opinion of a business we once trusted and happily recommended.

The worst - absolute worst contractor I've ever seen or experienced. I would strongly recomand reading the comments already posted by Hristos K. and Demettri P. also see the pictures, - not the advertising pictures but the ones posted by dissatified customers. My expeience with them was so bad that i want to vomit when think about them. Their "Sales Pitch" was we will not ask for a dime until the work was complete to my satisfaction. However, on the very first day of work i was asked for $2000. For "expenses" a week or so later I was again asked for $2500. like A fool I paid them. the "con" was convincing. I should note that this was a $10,000 job for landscaping. Another week into the job I was told all was complete, it was far from complete. Thier concept of complete was pouring dirt - not mulch or any grass seed, just dirt. at this time they demanded the remaing $5000. for work completion. i hesitated, not knowing anything about landscaping. so i wrote the check. BUT, i got "lucky" - that night it rained and the next morning i viewed thier work. All the dirt had washed away leaving a barren landscape much akin to pictures of the moon. But I got lucky, it was a holiday weekend and the check had not yet been cashed. I called my bank and instructed them to deny payment of that check!!!! they followed my instructions and the check "bounced" when presented. But it didn't end there. that week i was in Hawaii visiting my daughter. I got a call from Tom the apparernt owner of the company, he actually suggested "we needed to talk" soon! about "a matter". Of course by this time I had a lesson in life and hung up the phone. But, and this is critical, i never heard from them again. Nothing. Now I ask, would a ligitiment contractor allow me to cancel a check for $5000. and never follow up on their claims? I don't think so! This sham of a company got $4500. from me and i guess they thought they came out ahead - therefore no follow up. Bottom line, It cost me another $7000. to repair thier shoddy work. But Im blessed for that rain!!!!! It saved me paying these con men a large sum for nothing. DO NOT DUE BUSINESS WITH ALLSTATE PAVING AND MASONRY. DO NOT EVEN LISTEN TO THIER SALES PITCH. If you have unfortunate recommation through social media - do not call or return calls. Or, they do make door to door calls -shut your door nd walk away. read more

In the most recent project of an investment property we had them replace 9'w super heavy sliding patio doors & 3 windows. They removed & replaced rotted sill plates on the door and windows, foam insulated, & replace sills & molding with all new. Nik goes the extra distance adding a white oak threshold, replacing the sliding door moulding trim with bigger ones & also replacing the adjacent thru-the-wall A/C unit box's trim, making it look so much better. Nik took apart Harvey window sashes & trimmed the vinyl corner's mitered edges that the Harvey Window factory should've taken care of in QC. Nik is the consummate professional - he does what he says he'll do, always on time, dedicated, hardworking, superb craftsmanship, very experienced carpenter, and a perfectionist. He goes the extra distance & looks out for your interests, even when you don't know work needs to be done. And that's someone you want in your court. He's quiet, diligent, hard-working and a precise carpenter. Maria is a delight to deal with, warm, superb with fast communication texting/emailing keeping you apprised throughout the whole process, working with the town building dept, getting & closing permits & working w the distributor. Please note there's at least 3 articles in the local Community Advocate paper last fall & this spring, about their great company.

Called a week later to the owner...left VM...he called me back...and instead of scheduling a time to come by to give a quote...he asked me call his telephone service again. I'd mentioned to telephone rep. that I'd called prior week and provided my contact information. She'd confirmed the my information. The next day, I receive an email stating that they're busy for the rest of the year and won't be taking new customers, only returning customers or contractors. It would have been nice if the owner told me that in the first place when I'd reached out to me. =P

We had a ton of small stuff and managed to box a fair amount, while the stuff in storage was literally just packed in floor to ceiling. We were scheduled to close at the end of June so I foolishly started calling around maybe 10 days prior for a mover, thinking it would be slow before college students moving back in...was I wrong. I called all of the big names first, and even with their fleet of trucks most were either booked solid or charging outrageous fees. So I checked out Yelp* to see what they could suggest and of course right at the top was Bee's Moving. Having never heard of them (since I never move, ha ha!) I was at first skeptical, especially when they told me they could move me on the date requested, then quoted me a price. (a little back story: my wife owns a commercial treadmill like those found in gyms, it weighs well over 600lbs., the company that initially moved it into our condo quoted me literally $100/lb., but Bee's charged me a fifth of that!!) After reading the reviews here I decided to book with them and waited for the big day. Remember that horrible heatwave we had at the end of June into July? Yeah, they moved all of our stuff in that with no issues whatsoever. Everything was handled carefully and professionally, they were overly polite and made sure I was completely satisfied with their service. Now comes the "above and beyond" part most people hope to get with a moving company. We had a new rather expensive washer and dryer, and there was now a dime-sized scuff on it, which had no effect whatsoever on it working properly. It is to be expected that sometimes things like this happen, esp. when moving so much stuff. Did Bee's try to place blame elsewhere? No. Did they ignore me hoping I'd just move on? No, it took one call and they more than resolved the issue, even making sure to personally followup to make sure we were satisfied. Now think about it: how many times do you REALLY need a moving company? Now factor that in with how great they were AFTER the move. Look, moving can be nerve wracking, esp. when some are known to "tack on" fees after the fact, or you find your valuables in less than ideal condition. If you have more money than brains, feel free to use one of the big names here, hope they won't do any the above, let alone have an open booking at a GOOD price. I feel so confident from my experience with them, that I could literally guarantee that EVERY move with them would be just as great, I can't say enough how great Matt, Brandon and their crew really were. After living through a house fire, the only thing that has been as great as finally moving into a new home has been doing it with this company.

They made quick work of unloading the U-Haul. Making even the biggest pieces of furniture look easy. Whole job was done in 45 minutes and they got a desk up the stairs and inside that we would have had to leave on the curb - still not sure how they did it - real pros! We leveraged Mark to help us with cabinet selection and layout. He walked us through all the options, showed us lots of examples of previous work, and gave us suggestions. He was responsive and flexible, worked with us and our timetable to get us everything we needed. Our GC double-checked all of Mark's measurements and layout, as well as doing all the installation for us. We did not experience any of the issues that others mention, perhaps for that reason. Our renovated kitchen is absolutely beautiful and we are happy with Mark's work.
