This is quite a find! I was looking for a place to get my car washed both outside and inside; most of the ones I used to go, moved to a 'do it yourself' model. The first time I went, I was a little embarrassed; my cars interior was full of leaves and dirt from the winter/spring. This place has a full crew working on the car. The basic full service includes vacuuming and dusting inside, then wash outside, for $37.50! And they are doing a consistently good job, in less than 20 min! Small waiting area, but you don't have to linger for long. As part of this review, I posted a photo with the add-ons, a VIP spa menu for cars. You can get your car pampered at any level you wish! I take great pride in keeping my car looking good. As I get older, it's harder for me to do the job I used to. Allston is my extra set of strong arms to make my car look great again. I was a little surprised, but also delighted, that they had already started a file on me from just one prior visit. They knew what I had done and previously so it was easy to recreate the ticket. I am only able to treat myself to getting this wonderfully clean outside and inside car when in Boston. There is nothing like this in my little village. So when I go to see my Doc, I also make time for my car to get a good cleaning. Allston has never disappointed. I used to be able to drive 10 minutes away in my old hometown for this service, so now I really appreciate it. I like to keep my things looking nice and Allston helps me do that. It is tucked away with a small sign. If I did not know it was there i would have missed. They gave me a fabulous car wash. I always get out and check my can afterwards. After all, the best time to dispute a car wash, is right afterwards. They wiped down my car which was a nice touch. I will return when I need my car washed. read more

$19 to get an undercarriage wash to rinse off the winter salt is a good value. The car rinse was better than what I expected from a drive through (ie cleans off dirty windows but not enough to remove something really sticky like sap). The workers there had thick coats for the 17°F weather which was good to see. It feels like they should wear face masks too since I could smell the chemicals from the wash from inside my car and they're right next to the wash outside. The left side is for an exterior wash only and the right side was full service. There's a couple of people checking you in for what kind of wash options you want. Next are two workers that spray your car, giving a look over with human eyes before you set your car on neutral for the belt. And there's an exterior team waiting at the finish to direct traffic and towel dry. read more

SCAMMERS DO NOT COME HERE. I got my car detailed here on Aug 2nd and. Today I lifted up the mats in the back of my car because it was time for another cleaning, and there was mold growing in my carpet because they never dried off the mats all the way. So mold has been growing in my car for two months now under my floor mats. DISGUSTING. THE PRICES ARE HIGHER THRN WHAT IS ADVERTISED. Upon arrival after speaking with them, we agreed to pay the higher price even though it's not what was listed on the sign. Then at checkout, I noticed they tried to sneak in an extra $14 fee for Matt Cleaning that nobody mentioned before. When I brought this up, the employee pictured below told me I was stupid, wrong and Yelled at me from across the store in front of other customers. Really good service and deal for a premium car wash. For 18 bucks, you get a undercarriage wash, rust protectant, and clear coat sealer. The reason why this car wash is better than their competition, like a national chain like Scrub-a-Dub, is because they do a pre-wash spray down of your car, dislodging any dirt, salt, or poop off your car before it goes into the wash. Also, at the end, there's a team of 4-6 people waiting to dry your car with soft towels, so you don't instantly pick up new dirt on your car because it leaves soaking wet. read more

I have been coming here to have car wash more than 20 years. I observed their car wash prices go up, but quality goes down. I didn't complaints when I paid $20 for interior and exterior wash in the past, but now day I paid $50, and I see dust everywhere after they said they have cleaned, spoke to their manager and told me to pay $35 more to have them clean better! I had a good experience in the past at Allston Car wash however my recent trip was less than satisfactory. I had the Works Full Service Interior and Exterior. It was a quiet day and no car was in front of me. A multitude of people descended on my car, so I was more than surprised at the end result. It looked like a rag didn't even touch many parts of my car although there were about 5 people inside cleaning it. I went home and dusted/cleaned the inside and there were spots that came off easily with a quick swipe. The inside windows were the bright spot in my visit. They were cleaned really well. Last time I was there they asked me what kind of air fresheners I would like. This time, no air fresheners at all even though it stated it on my receipt. I do not think I will return. I've gone back recently and they did a good job of rectifying things. On days of intermittent weather you should call the store before heading over to check if their car wash is open. Not ideal but it could save you some headache. They could have spent some more care in wiping down the rear defroster (horizontal instead of up/down). Also knocked off my front and rear dash cam. Overol very positive experience. All other detailed car washes either required reservation way in advance or leave the car for 3 hours. Here you just come and get your car back in 20 minutes super nice and clean. Will not remove the dirt that went deep inside the leather pattern of interior or seats but removed all dirt from our hikes and an active outdoorsy dog. For the price it's a steal and if you are willing to pay more they can shampoo your interior to remove deep stains. Also I appreciated welcoming and helpful young gentleman at check it in - makes you feel they appreciate your business which is rare these days. Highly recommended. read more

This car wash is always busy. The staff do a great job working together to work quickly and efficiently to make the cars sparkle. After taking a four day road trip they removed all the smashed bugs on our license plate and cleaned out the dog hair from our interior. The itemized service list gives lots of options. Paid 49~ dollars for deluxe wash and tire shine. Not quite worth it. Car came out with dirtier windows (streaky as can be) than when it went in. Wheels not cleaned well at all. Good machine process, bad people process hurrying on a 40 dollar cleaning. Never had this issue here before but I guess all things don't remain the same in time... Motivated to write this as 50 ish dollars with tip should be better of a cleaning. read more

Was just there for an exterior wash and rims. The wash was okay since I have "Clear Coat" on my new car. The rim looked just as filthy as when I entered. They always used to do a good job on your rims, now don't bother. Pre wash your rims before you get there and get the regular wash. read more

I'm only giving this place 3 stars over 2 because I feel badly for the poor hard working guys at the end who are nice and just trying to make a living. The rude blonde sales dude is a complete and total bully. I was referred here with a coupon from the last time I got my car serviced at Herb Chambers. As much as I'd prefer to vacuum and wash my car on my own at my own house, that's impossible living in the city. Sure, I could do self-serve, but for a few extra bucks, I might as well have someone do it for me. With the dog and the fall leaves and salt and gravel, my car was getting rough, and I really wanted to clean off some of the salt stuff on the undercarriage so I don't get rust and stuff. So, I came here on a day off from work a Friday around 2 PM, knowing that I really had to get the whole shebang. Vacuuming, protectant, exterior, undercarriage. Grabbed the coupon from the kitchen counter, set the GPS, and started my journey to Allston Car Wash. When I got to the location, there were a ton of cars all jammed in the entrance at the street, so I was thinking maybe that was the car wash area, so I continued driving, then realized that WAS the entrance. So, I made a left down the street, and did a loop around back. I came out on a street directly across from the entrance and then entered the lot. Then I realized that the line to enter for full service was alllll the way down the street, the cars WAITING to get serviced had backed up traffic about 10 cars onto the road. So, some brutish-looking fellow starts walking up and down the car line screaming at people. I'm sort of parked randomly in the middle of nowhere, trying to figure out where to go. I sat there in my car watching this huge blonde guy (mentioned in previous reviews for being RUDE) starts talking to this other woman in her car like a piece of human garbage, trying to route her to the proper place. I felt bad for her because she was trying to be nice and agreeable and was trying to smile as this guy talked to her like human trash. Then I rolled down my window and tried to get help, because I wasn't able to enter the line without blocking the exterior wash line, but I had been there for awhile and would lose my spot. I asked the big huge beast of a guy for help, and he started yelling at me! Yes, yelling at me that I was in the wrong place and had to go back around the block and get in the back of the line! After he was yelling at me, since I'm not someone you can abuse verbally and me not say anything, I said to him, "You know, it would be really nice if you wouldn't talk to people like human garbage. We are CUSTOMERS trying to spend money here." I suggested to him that instead of directing traffic up near the the beginning of the line, to have someone directing people at the front of the line, where there is mass chaos, which holds up traffic on an already chaotic street. (I later saw a school bus cross the double yellow line and pass the long line of cars, because there's no way to go on this street. He actually sort of backed off, but he walked away and I was still stuck with the choice: Stick here and hope someone nice understands my plight/that I had been waiting awhile, or start over. I sat in my car analyzing this for awhile, because I usually don't have the chance to get my car washed, AND I had a $10 off coupon from my dealership. I opted to suck it up because I had already spent 40 minutes and my car still wasn't in line. So I went baaack around the block again and waited IN THE STREET with the OTHERS for a car wash. I waited 20 minutes and then my car was finally brought in for cleaning. I will say this: my car was exceptionally clean. They even vacuumed out the crevasses under my trunk hood (Which I had pointed out to the vacuum guy to please vacuum) (trunk cleaning costs $2 extra). I tipped the main interior window/console cleaning guy a few bucks as he got out of the car and gave it to me. I checked the trunk crevasse before I got in, and was happy to see it done. Ultimately, would I come here again? If I find another place, I will go there. Anyone have suggestions? I read the Yelp reviews mentioning this rude sales guy, and I was wondering if he'd be there when I went today. Yup, he was! This whole mess cost 20 dollars with the 10 dollars off coupon, and also used 1.5 hours of my day. YES, driving from the Fenway to Allston to get my car washed here: 90 minutes of pain and torture. But the guys drying and doing the interior at the end were very efficient and high quality. Unfortunately those are the guys that they are probably paying the least. And yes I used the bathroom here (because I hadn't expected this to be a huge production), and they were like the worst prison movie you've ever seen. read more
