I really appreciate touchless car washes because in NY, we don't have much and the one I go to sucks. I just go to get the salt off Anyways, this is a GREAT touchless car wash. Perfect for any car enthusiast that cares about their car. Once again, it's touchless so don't expect perfectly clean. The whole point of these in winter is to get salt off your car I paid for the best $16 wash because why not. You can pay with card or Apple Pay. When the door opens, the stream of water that cleans the bottom of your car is insane. It's a beautiful fan ensuring complete coverage to rinse all the salt off. The one I have in NY sucks. Then you drive up to where it says and then stop and let it do its thing. Make sure to drive slow out so the dryer can do its thing Here are the results. One star extra for having a touch less car wash near me which remains open late. However the prices are way too much for it being so quick. The dryer system should be better and one should utilize all the time it provides else I'll walk away with a wet car with the dust sticking on. You'll be able to see the dryer time when you come out so drive slooooowwww while getting out. The premium one which has everything costs $15. Although it did clean my car but I would expect it to leave some shine. I'll definitely be back but will be taking the basic one next time to try it out and see the difference. read more

Do no go here. The owner is a crazy person. Today, i accidentally drove into the entrance the wrong way (my fault) however it is horribly marked. Upon doing so, the owner came out screaming asking if i could fing read. So I rolled down my window, and kindly asked him to calm down, there were children around w their parents vacuuming their cars. That didn't work. It only fueled his fire more. Then his little assistant had to jump in and argue w me too. All in all, the man has an anger issue and doesn't not know how to conduct a business properly. I used their touchless wash for the first time today, and was pretty pleased with the results. Overall it did a decent job and got the pollen off my car, but it was pretty basic. I did the "Good" wash, which was $11 and included undercarriage but only one coating of foam and then two rinses. The dryer worked well-- better than most touchless washes I've used. There was no line when I got there on a Wednesday afternoon, and plenty of space around the side of the building for me to dry off my car with a microfiber towel. I might spring for the "Better" next time, but I was generally happy with my experience here. read more

I go there probably once or twice a month. The gentlemen are always considerate and IMO go out of their way to make sure that they go over the car with hand brushes before the automatic wash even begins. I like to pay for the wheel cleaning ($3.00). It's worth it. I've been to many carwashes including the new fangled ones that are buying out all of the old "mom & pop" car wash places. Those places charge DOUBLE what Lexington Car Wash charges. Not sure if they're the same people who own the one in Winchester but very similar experience. Highly recommended! read more

Went here around 2PM on a WEEKDAY for a self-service wash and it was packed...problem is, you don't realize that until it's too late!!! They have the dumbest (or most evil, if this is by design) lining-up system I've ever seen: the wash bay doors are closed on the street side, so you have to drive in and around the BACK of the place to wait your turn, which means you CANNOT SEE if there is only one car in front of you that you have to wait to finish, or---as was my case---there are like 2 or 3 cars, which would have probably entailed at least a 20-30 minute wait! By the time you get far inside enough to see this, there are cars behind you and cars around you so you are basically STUCK...felt like a frickin' VEAL PEN! Luckily, I was able to get one of the other cars to move a little so I could inch my way past and get TF outta there! Never again! read more

Went there on a Sunday afternoon. There were three bays of touchless wash, and all had one car in them. Not a long wait at all as the wash is roughly 3 minutes long plus a 45 seconds dry cycle. You pay at the machine, a bit like ordering fast food. Then you drive into the bay. A robotic arms spring water, foam, and water around the car. When it is finished, the signal lights tell you to go forward. There is a countdown timer right outside the exit so that you can time your slow driving forward to get the car dry. My car has dried mud stuck on the sides from driving on dirt roads. The dirt had been on the car for two weeks now, and the touchless wash managed to get them off. After the wash, on close inspection there are definitely the odd spots that the wash did not manage to clean. But it is still a worthwhile way to quickly wash the car without getting the body potentially scratched with a traditional car wash. read more

Who knew that there is a new, updated touchless car wash here? This is ideal with all the salt that sits in cars. I love that it's all automatic. You pull up, you pay, you wait til the door opens and you pull in until the sign on the left tells you to stop. Then the touchless wash begins. It's about 3 minutes long and then you slowly pull forward to the dryers- there is another countdown screen you see to know when your drying is done. This is the closest place to my house so I figured I'd give it a try. I paid $15 for a wash. It left almost all the dust and dirt on my car. I couldn't believe it. I went through the car wash and when I got home I ran my finger on the side of my car and it left a finger streak like the car had never been washed. It's a bummer because this would be Convenient for me to go to and they have vacuums and air fresheners but it was just a waste of money. read more

These guys are horrible. Do not go here. I will not be returning after many years of using their touchless car wash. Today I paid for a wash and pulled into the bay only to have the equipment not work. When I spoke to the attendant he at first was very helpful and had me come back around again. I told him I either wanted my car washed or a refund either way. He said let me check the machine, had me pull my car in to the bay and it worked. As I went to leave and roll my window down to thank him for his help he chose to berate me and accuse me of getting a free car wash. I cannot tell you how this has upset my day. Don't go here. I normally go to a car wash in Belmont but I was tight on time and needed to go quick. I used the touch less car wash for $15.00 , it cleaned the ground my car was parked on but nothing else! The foam left horrible spots all over my car. Front to back. I went to Belmont car wash after this and spent another $15 on a car wash and they told me whatever type of polish they used leaves stains and damaged my car. I have been trying to contact mass ave car wash and their business Number rings and rings, you can't even leave a message. I love this place because I can take my car through the touch free car wash. I really appreciate a car wash that has no tracks because I'm always so scared about hitting my rims. I love the touch free system. They just need to improve their dryer in order to earn 5 stars. You have 40 seconds to leave and go through the dryer and I always use all 40 seconds but my car never dries evenly. Their actual main car wash that touches your car is very good. Maybe I'm more of a traditional car owner, but I like being able to wash my car with my own hands. And the self service bays allow me to do exactly that. The beauty of all of the set up? The fact that the self service bays take credit cards! Simply swipe and take as little or as much time as you need using each of the cleaning options - your card won't be charged more than $10. It's nice to know that I can also dry and detail my car within the bay - it doesn't seem like many folks use the self service bays and I've rarely been asked to leave because I've spent far too much time wiping everything down. The vacuums are really cheap here too - $1.25 for 4 minutes (not that you'll need any more time than 5 minutes if you've got yourself set up properly). The large trash cans next to each vacuum are quite convenient for throwing out the month-old orange juice bottles that are hiding underneath the car seats, and the vacuum suction is strong enough to lift out dirt from last winter. read more

This carwash has recently been improved with two new touchless carwash bays, as well as several manual wash bays. The original automatic wash with brushes is also still there. The touchless wash works well, better than most, but not as well as you could do yourself. It automatically figures out the size of the car, and runs a robotic arm with spay nozzles along the side and back of the car. The drier is at the exit and doesn't move, so you have to drive *very* slowly in order to have it dry the car at all. Basic wash is $8. It takes cash & credit. The manual bays also work well. I believe the water is heated (the hose felt warm even though it was cold out). $3.50 minimum. I put in $5 and got 5 and 1/2 minutes. Also takes cash & credit. I haven't used the automatic wash myself, but a friend used it and said it did a good job for $9. You pay an attendant, not sure if they take card for that wash. There are also vacuums available, that I haven't used yet. read more

went on a whim to get the salt off my car. the basic i got was $9. they get a brush and wipe your car down with soap water from front to back before it goes in. that's good service. you're done in about 60 secs literally. overall, it's not a bad choice. just wish it was a few dollars lower for the basic but most car washes are charging this much now read more

I made the mistake of parking my car under a tree with lots of birds that apparently hate Volvos. Mass Ave Car Wash was the closest car wash. I chose the $14 wash and pulled forward. The wash was okay. It didn't get all the bird crap off. I left with a good amount still caked on. Not a bad wash just not strong enough to get everything clean. If your car is caked in mud or bird doodie you may be better off at another car wash. If your car isn't that dirty and you want a basic wash this is a good choice read more

NOTE: I'm reviewing the self and touchless here, not the traditional wash with brushes The new self wash bays are some of the nicest I've seen, they allow you to use a credit card and there's a nice boars hair brush and foam gun. The touch less bays do a nice job to quickly remove light dirt. People often expect these to perform miracles and get disappointed. If you keep your car waxed then the dirt will rinse right off with the touchless wash, if not then it's not going to do a great job. Both the new self wash and touchless are very good, reasonably priced and clean. The vacuums also work very well. The regular wash is awful, I would never run my car through it but did go through with a friend and as Lila mentioned it doesn't use soap which is very odd. Any car wash that uses brushes is going to put swirl marks in your paint though so I just write this part off anyways. read more

I went out of my way to get to this place because it's touchless. Touchless car wash is pretty worthless. Couldn't remove water spots from recent rainstorm. Same for some minor bird droppings. I get better results with a garden hose. Give it one star because it was interesting to watch. $12 quite literally down the drain. read more

Touch free automated bay was a big disappointment yesterday. I paid for the $15 wash too, left haze on the painted surface in some areas where dirt wasn't cleaned. Bird poop didn't even come off. There is obviously no substitute for scrubbing but the regular wash was closed for the evening. I've go pretty regularly to one in Ayer and have never had this issue. read more

They were really good the year they opened and I was happy because they were close to my home. But in recent times you can visibly see that the soap and wax coating they use is very diluted. And the results are also diluted. The wind shield is no longer grease free or spot free. Bird droppings don't get cleaned any longer. Last few times I even had to spot clean with my rags after coming back from the wash. This new and diluted wash is now an extra $2 read more

This is a review for the self-service wash. Lots of options and water pressure for the rinse is awesome. I would recommend that you bring a chamois/drying towel, your own wash mitt, something to clean the brake dust/gunk from wheels. The brush provided is too abrasive for clear coat and you'll get light scratches if you aren't gentle. I ended up spending 13.50 my first time there, but can easily get that down to $10 tops. Just set remember to set the dial to "Stop" for when you're using the wash mitt after you use the scrub soap. read more

I got my car washed here today. After the wash, my car looks basically the same as it did when it went in. My car had very light dirt marks on it and the wash didn't get the off... I can rub them off with my finger so the washing system must have been very weak. Waste of $11! read more

These negative reviews are probably unwarranted. Look, the best touchless service you can get here tops at $15, and you dang sure get your money's worth. I've lived all over the country and that's a very reasonable price for this area. I have soft windows on my car and can't take a brush or rag to them. I drove through the touchless wash and my car came out as sparkling clean as one can in winter here. I drove slowly thru the dryer, and had very little to gripe about. I will absolutely be coming back here and highly recommend. read more

Overall quite pleased with the quality of the wash. The fact that the automated touch-free wash lanes took cash was a deal-maker -- and as a bonus, the machines dispensed change in dollar bills, not dollar coins. I take my car to Mass Ave Car Wash because, well, my niece loves it. We usually go touchless. That's the point. I took my car through on Saturday and one side was not completely cleaned. When I called, Henry told me immediately to bring it back. I am not a fan (at all!) of redoing service that was not completed fully / correctly the first time. If customers are inconvenienced, there should be some acknowledgement. And I got it! Henry and team took my car through two additional washes to be certain the atomic grime (which I thought was plain old pollen) was fully removed. And they gave me some suggestions for cleaning the odd historic spot on the hood. All that to say, I'm now loyal beyond my niece's interests. They made sure I was happy and I am. Thank you! read more
