I took my car here on a Friday at 10:30am and it was pretty empty. I purchased "the works" and "basic interior" package along with an additional $10 for seat polish. I paid $53 in total for a terrible job. There was dog fur still everywhere in the car and the exterior still had dirt/bird droppings/bugs. I wonder if the "express car wash" even has soap in their line. It looked like it went through just water. I had to spend an additional 50 mins cleaning the car myself with an already painful wrist. ScrubaDub has been my go-to car wash / interior detail shop. I stopped by today and was told they no longer offer interior detailing. However , you can use their (very) high pressure hose for your mats. While they don't offer any soap, I suppose you could bring your own, scrub your mats down and then wash off. Vacuums cost $2.00 / 6min. The machines accept credit cards, coins and maybe dollars. There are attendants working who can probably provide change if necessary. They still offer clean dry rags and cleaning spray if you want to clean interior yourself. It's unfortunate that they cannot locate workers to man the detailing positions. The car wash cleaned the car as expected. In the past, if you were weren't satisfied with the first pass, they would allow you to go through again at no additional cost. Great neighborhood business. Scrub a Dub - Brookline, MA is a mediocore car wash, at best. Consistently, our cars come out of the car wash wet, certainly not dried by forced hot air. In the evening hours, 7:00 PM, and thereafter, the glass cleaner bottles on the "touch up carts," are consistently empty. It seems that the staff is not attentive to cars coming out of the car wash wet, or the carts that are supposed to have towels and glass cleaner on them, being empty. I went there for the first time today. I had the most elaborate car wash program for 25 dollar, as I really wanted my car to be clean (hence the drive to a carwash). When my car was done, there are carts with washcloths to further dry the car. I had never had to do that myself, but I decided to try. I noticed that while walking around my car, that it wasn't fully clean. The washcloth turned black instantly. My windows weren't clean and the backside of my car was still fairly dirty. So, very disappointing result. I do have to add that the costumer service was very good and the company went above and beyond to offer me compensation. read more

I went to Car Wash in Brookline today and I was very happy what I saw. I was in line and I saw all employees having precautions about the Covid19. The cashiers was with mask and gloves too. They offered me sanitizer wipes, which some many car washes doesn't have. Also, they offered a very good deal of unlimited program, so this way I can wash my car many times that I want a month. This is an incredible place! My car was treated with incredible care by the crew here. The assistant manager, John, is wonderfully smart and generous. I have had problems in the past bringing my hybrid car into car washes and having the electric system messed up by the water. Quickest wash I've ever been too. Maybe I'm too picky because I usually hand wash my other car, but when I left, the back of my car still had dirt remnants clung to it, and the side view mirrors have soap residue as water barely got on it during the rinse. Not to mention, the wheels were only half clean. If you got the unlimited package, better go back in for a second wash right after your first, maybe that'll do. read more

Amazing service! I woke up one morning to find my car covered with bird poop. Covered to the point where I didn't even want to touch the door handle. I went to Scrubadub (new customer) to get an outside wash for ~$10. Juan was so helpful. Before my car entered the automatic washing phase, he went around my car and very thoroughly sprayed down all the areas where the poop was stuck. He then said I could come back for a second cycle if there was still poop stuck. The first cycle got most of it off, but I still had some stuck on the windshield and back. Juan again sprayed down my car. The second time did the trick! I cannot think of another time when a business was so helpful to a customer! read more

I bought a discounted 5 pack today and ran my car through the washer only to find soap and wax still all over the car. After my car exited, I saw other cars with the same issue. One guy said he had to run his car through 3 times and it still wasn't clean! I ran my car through again and still a lot of soap and wax. I gave up and cleaned my windows at home. After a disappointing visit to the ScrubaDub in Dorchester, i decided to use one of my remaining coupons at the location in Brookline. My thinking that the people of Brookline would demand a higher standard of carwash than the people of Dorchester. I was right. The wash I received was just as poor as the other location, but there was no line, presumably because of my aforementioned theory. I been here twice, once around 7pm and once around lunchtime, both on a weekday, both time no line. Near the exit, there was a cart and a bin of "dirty towels", so I assume at some point there were clean towels for you to use, but I would recommend bringing your own if you want your car dry. read more

I've brought my car here a few times now, and I will say that I like the service I receive, especially for my money. The actual wash itself is great, but where Scrub-a-Sub really shines (no pun intended) is in the additional services that they provide. Having a team of three guys tackle your disgusting car at once is excellent. One goes to town on shampooing and cleaning the floor mats. Another is busy vaccuuming out french fries from Wendy's, McDonald's, AND Burger King. The third is busy cleaning the dash, windshield, and other interior panels. The cleaning goes like clockwork, and usually, it's done in about 15 minutes. The only downside is that if you choose to have the additional services done on your car, you may end up waiting for a bit of time. They service only one car at a time, and if they're busy, you're going to wait in line for them to get to your car, and that could end up being a long wait, depending on what the other people in front of you paid for. read more

For the extremes: we've come here after long road trips with the dog (hair, hair, everywhere!), camping trips (I always seem to bring back half of the sand in Maine and soil in NH along with the campfire smell), but also after the general "the car is sort of grungy" feel after a few months of city driving. As other reviews have stated, do not order a full service interior clean unless you want to experience Groundhog Day where you start the day with the same dirty car. After we drove home we realized what a scam this was and tried calling a manager up. Ha. The phone then directs you to corporate who tries to get a manager on the phone. Double Ha. Ya want a quick drive through wash yeah its decent but anything involving detail work go somewhere else. Edit-after this post management got back to me very quickly (within 2 hours) with an incredibly long letter detailing their apology for the work, 100% customer satisfaction guarantee and the offer of a quick 100% refund. I'll work through this process and report back how it ends, but I am very impressed with the professional outreach by upper management who appear to care about their customers. Update-changing rewiew to 5 stars. Management was very quick to respond and gave us a refund very quickly. Also listened to our idea of a checklist so customer and employee are on the same page for work to be done. Extremely happy with how the issue was resolved and plan to use them again. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Upsold to a $45 interior wash and told it would take 25 mins. They were done in less than 10 mins and there was visible dirt still left in the car (along with bottles of their cleaning solution). Car wasn't very dirty to start with. Came back to ask them why it wasn't cleaned and they said that wasn't included - and weren't very friendly about it. Short story - avoid this place at all costs. This is a fairly terrible, over-priced car wash. Sadly, it's the only car wash in Brookline, so I find myself here occasionally when time is limited to get somewhere better . The basic wash is $9.50 and if you attempt to order it, the attendant will argue with you to buy the Works package for $15, which includes an undercarriage wash and wheel cleaner. Twice, I've been ambitious enough to purchase the wheel cleaner, and both times the attendant only sprayed cleaner on the driver's side wheels. If there isn't a second attendant there, you have little chance of getting all 4 wheels cleaned for your additional $5. Also, your $15+ does not buy you a towel dry. Apparently with the 3-4 people that seem to constantly be working there at once, none of them can bothered to dry your car. My biggest annoyance with this car wash is the lack of guide mirror for the driver's wheel. Anyone with low profile wheels must be careful to drive perfectly straight into the tracks or they'll tear up their rim. Generally car washes without wheel guide mirrors are aided by an attendant who directs you cleanly into the track. Unfortunately, the attendants here have as little attention to detail with guiding your car as they do for spraying on the wheel cleaner. Be careful as they wave you in, because generally they are looking the other direction and talking amongst themselves instead of making sure your expensive alloy wheel isn't about to be torn up. Basically, the only reason to ever go here is if you are in too much of a rush to get to the Allston Car Wash on Cambridge St in Allston--because this place is overpriced for what you get, which is a mediocre car wash at best. read more

So, now that that's off my chest, commence review: I bought a deal for 3 car washes at Scrub a Dub for twenty something bucks. It seemed like a good deal. So, I drove my new (a few months old) car, which hadn't been washed and wasn't looking so new anymore, to this car wash in hopes of making it shiny and pretty again. It was clean (I think) but SCRATCHED. I saw tiny scratches all along the side of my car and started crying. Ok, not really. More like complaining, until (after a bit of argument from the worker) they agreed to buff out the scratches. So, needless to say, the other 2 car wash coupons have yet to be redeemed, but I do give Scrub a Dub some credit for good customer service.
