So, I am happy to be the first tip and review them. We stopped here to get gas and water while traveling from CA making our way to Michigan on the I-40E. The station was clean inside and out including the restroom. The clerk was a friendly fellow and helpful. I stopped at this CEFCO at around 3:00 a.m. and was served a really good Hunt Brothers pizza that the employee was kind enough to make. Then last night, as I was returning to Amarillo after a long afternoon and evening of work, I stopped again expecting a similar experience. Different employee this time. After I ordered my pizza, I overheard the employee snap on a customer who said they had tried to call and order a pizza but no one answered the phone. The employee rudely told the customer that because her boss gave her too much cleaning to do and only staffed the store with one employee, she didn't have any time to answer the phone. Then she served my pizza to me. It was covered in American cheese slices with no mozzarella cheese whatsoever. I asked her why she would put sliced American cheese on there. She shrugged and said "you ordered a cheese pizza". I then politely asked if she would remake the pizza with mozzarella cheese or refund my money. She absolutely refused to do either. So was she trying to get fired so she can collect unemployment benefits or did she just think I was an out of towner who was going to take the time to make any trouble for her? Was she being mean or is she so stupid that she didn't know that American cheese slices are not how to make a pizza? It's like a Choose Your Own Bad Customer Service reason! If I could give it zero stars...

I checked GasBuddy before starting and yes, it is the least expensive fuel in the area. Sadly, the receipt printer didn't work though everything else at the pump was fine. Squeegee worked well and the credit card reader was fine. I don't like having to go inside, but this is a decent enough shop and so I got a bottle of water for the rest of the drive to Pampa. Not much in this area if you are just passing through on the state highway so it was great to see this gas station appear on the horizon. Good amount of parking around the store. Four gas pumps and then several larger pumps for trucks and semis. The gas station is easy to pull into and a quick return back to the highway to continue your journey. Clean restrooms in the store. All the juices, sodas, waters, cold coffees, and Gatorade's you could want. Usual snack and candy selection. They also have dog toys and treats in the store. Kind of a grange supply for the area but also the area convenience store. Two ice cream freezers! One with the usual suspects you routinely see. The second with Mexican specific frozen treats. Awesome. Cigarettes and lighters can be found up front. Best of all an extremely impressive sweet tea selection. You can order specific flavors by the gallon and very reasonable prices.
