When we first arrived, the fans weren't on/didn't seem to be working, so it was pretty hot. The empanadas were tasty and definitely the highlight of the visit. However, I wasn't really a fan of the drinks; they were much stronger than I expected. Overall, it's a nice, chill rooftop bar to watch a game.

A good experience at Over Under. For what it is worth, I think this place is great for happy hour in this part of DC. During the summer months and early fall, the rooftop is ideal for happy hour and social gatherings. The drinks I ordered were delicious. Although I was not able to experience their happy hour food due to a kitchen malfunction, I was impressed with how quickly the manager was able to refund my money after I had already placed an order. The manager was very professional in trying to make my experience a good one despite the kitchen malfunction that prompted my party to vacate and find another happy hour venue. General service from the bar tender could have been better. Despite the venue being virtually empty during my visit, the service was slow and inattentive. Note: the venue signage is not very conspicuous from the street as the building's primary tenant is a lounge on the lower level. Overall, a good experience. I'll visit again.

Still on my hunt to find the best sports bar in DC, and this one is definitely a contender! The rooftop is gorgeous, the lighting is perfect, and there are plenty of TVs to catch the game. The food was PHENOMENAL. My only notes are that the menu felt a bit limited and on the pricier side, and it doesn't quite have that classic "sports bar" vibe yet. That said, I see so much potential here. I think more people just need to check it out, I'll definitely be back!

This is a cool spot to service all your needs as a sports fan. The rooftop neon lights vibe and decor leaves it elegant enough for a date night but still simple and trendy enough for a guys outing. Plenty of tv's and booth seating to accompany large groups as well as a large bar. The service here has generally been excellent on the few occasions i've visited. Their menu isn't super expansive but certainly enough to get the job done offering items like fried calamari, buffalo wings, empanadas, and grilled steak with prices ranging from $15-$22 per item. They also have a variety of daily drink specials in addition to their happy hour offerings as well. I wasn't terribly hungry on my most recent outing but did try out the beef barbacoa tacos which overall were tasty, good presentation and the beef was tender. I definitely recommend giving them a try if you're looking for a different sports bar experience from the norm.

A Steelers fan, Texans fan, Bills fan, dolphins fan, bengals fan and bears fan walk into a bar....and they all can watch the games of their teams! Over Under is an awesome place to catch all the games. Normally in DC I've been to bars that primarily play Commanders (which makes sense) with maybe one or two other games shown. Here you can watch all the games! It makes for a super fun Sunday with friends. Food is nothing special but come for the atmosphere! Good times and also meet some cool people!

The neon lighting + rooftop at night was such a vibe! Items tried | nitro expresso martini, Caesar salad with grilled shrimp, & buffalo wings. Service was quick, music was great, and servers were friendly!

If you like heat when it's cold outside this is the place to be. It's nice and toasty and relaxing. The booth seating was our preference and it's ample spacing. The service and the drinks were great. I wanted food however vegan options were super limited

Do you have a DJ or any kind of music on certain nights?

Hi Michelle! The Rooftop does not have any live DJ events. If you're looking to enjoy a live DJ, we always have one in Cloakroom (the second floor of the building)!

My friend hosted a happy hour there, and I love when events like that introduce you to new spots. The drink specials were honestly amazing with $6 drinks, which is hard to beat. The food specials ended at 7 while the drink specials continued until 8, so I was a little bummed to miss out on that. One thing to note if you're ordering food, the four cheese pizza comes with burrata, which I didn't realize ahead of time. I'd definitely come back to try more of the food, especially the flatbreads since they seem to have a lot of good options. That said, I don't think the staff was fully prepared for the size of our group. My friend brought around 60 people on a Friday night, and it was clear the servers were overwhelmed. At times, it took over 10 minutes just to place an order. I don't necessarily think that's the norm, so I'd be open to coming back during a regular happy hour to get a better feel for the service. Great size bar as well.

I visited as part of the full experience -- dinner downstairs at Birch & Barley, then up to Churchkey for drinks -- and honestly, it's one of the best evenings I've had in DC. Churchkey itself is everything a great bar should be. The beer selection is absolutely unreal -- hundreds of carefully curated labels spanning every style, region, and flavor profile you can imagine. What sets it apart is that the staff actually knows the menu. Our server walked us through a few options based on what we liked and landed us on perfect picks both times. That kind of genuine expertise is rare. The tavern pizzas from the wood-fired oven were a wonderful surprise -- thin, crispy, and the perfect companion to a cold draft. The smash burger also deserves a mention: simple, well-executed, and hits the spot. The vibe is warm and lively without being overwhelming. Great for a date, a group, or even just sitting at the bar solo with a good beer and good conversation with the bartender. This place has earned its reputation as one of the best beer bars on the East Coast -- and then some. Highly recommend making a full night of it with both floors. You won't regret it.
