When I first called, I was offered a virtual consultation the following day, which I completed thinking I would be able to schedule an in-office visit shortly after. However, I was told the next available appointment was about a month away. Although that was frustrating, I still scheduled it. Later, my sister received a follow-up text from the office about confirming an appointment. She also had reached out to inquire about Invisalign. But By that time they finally replied to her, she had already decided to move forward with another dental office, so she asked if I could take that available slot instead. The office replied saying that would be fine. However, when I was about five minutes away from the office, the receptionist, Hannah, called and said there had been some confusion and that I should keep my original appointment. That was extremely frustrating because I had already rearranged my schedule and was on my way. It didn't make sense that I was told I could come in if I ultimately couldn't be seen to conduct the appointment in its entirety. When I eventually had my appointment, the doctor and the back-of-house staff were very kind and professional. The visit itself was going well, and I told the doctor I wanted to move forward with Invisalign. I was then told it would take about four weeks for the trays to come in. I've had Invisalign before and know it often takes closer to two weeks, but I was still willing to proceed. The biggest issue came when discussing payment. I was given four payment options, and I asked if I could use my dental insurance and pay the remaining balance with my CareCredit card. I was told that wasn't possible. They mentioned they asked the doctor and apologized, but the answer remained no. I've never experienced a dental office being so restrictive about how a patient chooses to pay. It also makes the promotion offered very misleading considering that's not what's advertised. Overall, while the doctor and clinical staff were pleasant, the confusing scheduling, poor communication, and inflexible payment policies made the entire experience frustrating and ultimately felt like a waste of time. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this office.

Gloria met my Grandpa and aunt (who brought him to appt) in the parking lot to ensure they found the handicapped entrance. He was very happy with the precautions taken for safety with COVID-19. He says the procedure was completely painless. We were very nervous about having Grandpa go in for a procedure, but I have seen Dr. Young myself, and she and her staff are simply the best. Lets just say I have a bad history with dentists from my very first that actually filled a cavity…read morewithout Novocaine (it's ok....it'll be quick) and whose business was seized by the IRS (found out when I showed up for a cleaning to a closed building) to one that was seriously incompetent you could see how I would avoid the dentist at all cost. Well a few years ago I cracked a filling that was picked up while I was getting my wisdom teeth looked at. Since I was leaving the country in a few days to go backpacking the oral surgeon referred me to Richard Shea Jr. who got me in that day. The tooth was a goner but he got me in with an endodontist that day (it was a lot of driving!) who did a root canal (actually painlessly!). When I came back from my trip I went back for a cleaning and it was a horrible! Too many cavities to count thanks to my bad Irish genes and previous horrible dentist BUT Dr. Shea is so nice and gentle and worked with me to get them all fixed up with a minimal amount of discomfort and fuss. Many years later (no more cavities THANK YOU VERY MUCH!) I never miss an appt and even have brought most of my family here. We all love Dr. Shea who makes going to the dentist a pleasant experience. He always remembers little bits of your personal life and always takes into consideration your medical history and the cost of dental treatment. I highly recommend him to everyone!
