I went in with a chin-length growing-out pixie and walked out with an ear-length mushroom. I can work with it, but I didn't want that much cut off and I certainly didn't want poof around my ears, which is really unflattering for my round head shape. My head looks so short that when I saw myself in my mirror afterwards I thought my mirror was distorted. I also felt very talked-down-to as someone who doesn't fuss with my hair on a daily basis, with my stylist barely speaking to me and feigning shock when I told him, no, I don't style my hair every morning. All that said, the cut is acceptable as a not-terrible growout cut, but I wouldn't go back.

I did not see it all, but what I did see was nice and clean, and nicely laid out. It the waiting room waiting for the nail polish to dry, there was a beautiful large, vibrant fish tank. The whole atmosphere was relaxing. There were current magazines available, so you could catch up on current affairs while you are waiting. Midway through my pedicure, one of the receptionists came around offering cookies. That was a nice touch. This is not a cheap spa treatment, but definitely good place to go get pampered in preparation for a wedding, or other special event. Or, just because! The pedicure I got was the best I have ever had. My nails looked so neat, and the colour is still on my toes! The massage chairs are divine- but don't be shy to ask how they work. It took me a few minutes to figure it out, but once I nailed the setting, I was able to enjoy it. The gel nails I got stayed on for about 3 weeks, until I went into the salon to have them taken off. They were in great shape when I had them removed, but I had just grown old of them. The shellac stayed on for this full period too, without chipping-- which is more than what I can say for most salons offering shellac polish. I was really impressed that Vanessa stayed after the closing hour to complete my nails, without rushing me. Overall, the decor is a bit tacky, but I will come here again for the service. It is fantastic, very affordable and the products are the best I have received. They have a GREAT, fun selection of polishes, including the shellac too (many other salons don't have a great selection). I would recommend this salon to friends, and would definitely go again!

Upon arrival, Grandma, baby and I were greeted by Buthanya and another staff member in a friendly manner. My little one was then placed in a fun toy car chair and buckled in. She loved being able to play with the steering wheel while Buthanya cut her hair. Buthanya was very sweet the entire time, making sure my toddler was comfortable. Buthanya asked us what we wanted done with my little one's hair and made sure we were fully satisfied with the end result before we paid. She even put in a cute little clip in my daughter's hair at the end. The haircut cost $27 plus tip, but it was totally worth it and I would bring my daughter back to Buthanya. She was very quick and professional with the cut, which made things easier on my daughter. Perfect!

It took an hour here because the staff member (Mary I believe) was so unskilled and poorly trained. She scraped the old shellac with so much force it was painful and she also ripped off half a nail, which is now damaged and sore. She also cut two of my cuticles, one of which is still very painful and red. Her shellac application was pretty messy and she filed my nails at odd angles. I regret leaving a tip because I feel like I rewarded her. I would avoid this place, or at least make sure you don't book with Mary.
